Jessie J to headline Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball Sunday show

Jessie J will headline the second day of this year’s Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball in London, it has been confirmed.

The UK star will join a line-up consisting of the likes of One Direction, Ed Sheeran, JLS, The Saturdays, Wretch 32 and Emeli Sande on the Sunday night of the event. The Saturday line-up will star Rihanna, Calvin Harris, Olly Murs, The Wanted, Pixie Lott, Labrinth and Jason Derulo.

This year’s Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball will take place at London’s O2 Arena on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th December.

Ed Sheeran has been confirmed for the second day of this year’s Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball, and will be joined by JLS, Emeli Sande, One Direction, The Saturdays and Wretch 32 at the Sunday show.

The final act will be revealed on Monday morning.

Earlier this week, Rihanna, Olly Murs, The Wanted, Pixie Lott, Calvin Harris, Jason Derulo and Labrinth were confirmed to perform on the Saturday, 3rd December.

Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball tickets for the show on Sunday 4th December will go on sale on Monday, with tickets to the Saturday show on sale now.

Rihanna has been confirmed as the headline act for the first night of this year’s Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball. The singer, who is currently touring her latest album, Loud, will top the line-up on Saturday 3rd December.

The US star will join the previously announced Olly Murs, The Wanted, Pixie Lott, Jason Derulo, Calvin Harris and Labrinth.

The show will mark Rihanna’s eleventh appearance at London’s O2 Arena this year.

In previous years, the Jingle Bell Ball has featured performances from the likes of JLS, The Saturdays and the Black Eyed Peas.

The final name for the first day of the event will be confirmed on Monday.

Last year, the likes of JLS, The Saturdays, Black Eyed Peas, The Wanted and Tinie Tempah performed at the event.

Rihanna breaks UK chart record

Rihanna’s latest single, We Found Love featuring Calvin Harris, has stormed straight to the top of the UK singles chart, meaning the US singer has now scored six Number ones in five consecutive years, a record unequalled by any other female solo artist.

The track was released on Wednesday 4th October, coinciding with the first of the singer’s ten shows at London’s O2 Arena, and went on to sell nearly 90,000 copies in just 4 days.

Rihanna is set to perform UK shows throughout October, November and December, with performances at venues such as Birmingham LG Arena, Sheffield Motorpoint Arena and Manchester MEN Arena still to take place.

Tinchy Stryder confirms November UK tour dates

British rapper Tinchy Stryder has confirmed details of his latest UK tour, set to take place throughout November 2011.

The UK artist is set to release his fourth studio album this year, following the success of previous records Star In The Hood, Catch 22 and Third Strike. The upcoming album is already confirmed to feature collaborations with the likes of Calvin Harris and Dappy from N-Dubz.

Tinchy Stryder will begin his upcoming UK tour at Loverpool O2 Academy 2 on the 9th November, before going on to perform shows in Manchester, Nottingham, Norwich and London.

It seems increasingly likely that former X Factor star Olly Murs will go to number one with his new single Heart Skips a Beat this week.

Olly Murs is currently at number one according to the mid week chart update, but he is receiving stiff competition from Calvin Harris with his new single Feel So Close and Will Young’s Jealousy. Also expected to chart in the top 10 this week is Noel Gallagher’s new single The Death of You and Me which is at number 9 at the moment, however Olly Murs appears to be the act to beat.

Olly Murs willl be touring the UK’s arenas in early 2012 as announced this week.

Creamfields countdown almost at an end

The countdown to this year’s Creamdfields is very nearly at an end as the Festival kicks off this weekend, Saturday August 27th.

The weekend of dance and electronic music features some of the world’s top dance acts. The Saturday night will feature Magnetic Man and The Chemical Brothers on the South Stage. Less than a week to go until V Festival kicks off

Excitement is building for this year’s V Festival, which begins on Saturday August 20th.

The two day event takes place over next weekend, and features some of the biggest names in pop and rock music. Headlining the festival will be Eminem and Arctic Monkeys. Also appearing on the main stage will be Rihanna, Plan B, The Script, Kaiser Chiefs and Manic Street Preachers.

The 4Music Stage will see headline sets from Pendulum and Dizzee Rascal, with Primal Scream, Razorlight, The Courteneers, Tinie Tempah, The Wombats and Jessie J.

The Arena Stage features artists including Calvin Harris, Chase And Status, Mark Ronson and Glasvegas.

Rihanna close to finishing new album

Rihanna has to lay claim to be the pop world’s busiest lady at the moment and now it appears that her follow up to the Loud album is almost finished.

Loud producer Verse Simmonds has commented, ”From what I understand, she is closing the album up now. We did two records for her that she really, really loved and I’m really excited about them as well, in an interview with MTV.

Rihanna will be playing this year’s V Festival before heading off on her Loud tour which will be supported by Calvin Harris, and sees the Umbrella singer play up and down the country’s arenas.

It has been revealed today that Calvin Harris will be the support act for Rihanna’s upcoming Loud tour this Autumn.

Calvin Harris is renowned for his upbeat disco/dance sound and will be sure to provide the perfect start to a night of Rihanna. His back catalogue of hits include Dance With Me, I’m Not Alone and Acceptable in the Eighties.

According to Music Week, Rihanna has commented, “Calvin is the perfect fit for the Loud tour. He is going to bring something unique and fun for the fans.”

Calvin Harris unveils new single ahead of festival appearances

Calvin Harris has shown off his new single, Feel So Close.

The chart-favourite has yet to announce a release date, but has said he intends to release a number of singles by the end of the year. The follow-up to last month’s single Bounce, which featured Kelis, was premiered on Radio 1 last night (July 8th).

This summer, Harris will play a number of festivals including T In The Park tomorrow (July 10th), The Big Chill and was recently announced as Duran Duran’s replacement at V Festival.

Following Duran Duran’s forced cancellation of their performance at V Festival, due to Simon Le Bon’s throat difficulties, Calvin Harris has stepped in to play their slot.

Oxegen kicks off this Friday

Ireland’s biggest festival, Oxegen, kicks off this Friday for three days of world-class entertainment.

Friday night (July 8th) will see headliners Black Eyed Peas take to the main stage, supported by The Script and My Chemical Romance. The Strokes and Swedish House Mafia headline the Vodafone stage, with Leftfield and Calvin Harris topping the bill on the Heineken Green Spheres stage.

Saturday (June 8th) has headliners Foo Fighters supported by Arctic Monkeys and Beady Eye. Paolo Nutini and deadmau5 are top of the bill on the Vodafone stage while Brandon Flowers headlines the Heineken Green Spheres stage.

Closing the festival on Sunday night will be Coldplay, supported by Beyonce and Slash. On the vodafone stage, The National and Pendulum head the line-up, while Primal Scream and Chase & Status top the bill on the Heineken Green Spheres stage.

A host of other world-class bands, as well as an incredible, unique atmosphere have made the festival a favourite on the festival circuit.

One week until T in the Park kicks off

Next Friday (July 8th), T in the Park begins in Scotland featuring arguably one of the best festival line-ups of the summer.

The weekend features headline performances from Arctic Monkeys (July 8th), Coldplay (July 9th) and Foo Fighters (July 10th). Also appearing on the main stage across the weekend are Plan B, Jessie J, Beyonce, The Script, My Chemical Romance and Pulp.

Headlining the Radio 1/NME stage are Pendulum (July 8th), The Strokes (July 9th) and Deadmau5 (July 10th). The stage also plays host to White Lies, Jimmy Eat World, Friendly Fires, Beady Eye and Tinie Tempah.

Kanye West to headline The Big Chill Festival

It has been announced today that ‘Gold Digger’ star Kanye West is to headline The Big Chill music festival in Herefordshire. Headlining the Saturday night, the August date will be the only festival that West plays this summer.

Mexican duo Rodrigo y Gabriela have been announced as another UK exclusive headline act, while The Chemical Brothers are also confirmed to play.

Other confirmed acts include Jessie J, Janelle Monae, Robert Plant & The Band of Joy, Metronomy, Chipmunk, Katy B, Example and Calvin Harris.

The Big Chill is to take place at Eastnor Castle Deer Park in Herefordshire between August 4 and August 7. Previous headliners include Massive Attack and Lily Allen.

Katy Perry fans hit out at Calvin Harris

Fanatical Katy Perry fans have told Calvin Harris to ‘kill himself’ after he cancelled his spot on her UK tour.

Harris wrote on his Twitter page: ”WTF are Katy Perry fans telling me to kill myself on Twitter for? Seriously. I’m a producer making music. Leave me alone please thanks… The internet is a really depressing place sometimes.”

The outbursts came after Harris tried to apologise for his last minute cancellation, saying on Tuesday: “We tried really hard to sort it out, but playing side of stage for 30 mins, it seemed pointless me even being there. Didn’t intend to cause offence or upset anybody.”

A host of acts have been added to the line-up for this summer’s huge Deadmau5 show at Victoria Park. The DJ will perform at the London venue on 6th June and will be joined by Mark Ronson, Calvin Harris, Zane Lowe, Nero, Skrillex, DJ Hype, Modestep, DJ Fresh, Jaguar Skills and Netsky.

V Festival takes place this weekend at both Chelmsford and Shifnal, and tickets are still available for the two day event to be headlined by Kings Of Leon and Kasabian. Kings Of Leon have announced that they are to preview tracks from their forthcoming album, Come Around Sundown, when they headline V Festival in both Chelmsford and Shifnal later this month. The record has been eagerly anticipated by fans ever since the success of Only By The Night, which contained singles such as Sex On Fire and Use Somebody.

In 2009, Arthur’s Day signified 250 years since the beginning of the Guinness brewing company, and the famous Irish beer elected to arrange a series of live music events in celebration. It was given the name Arthur’s Day after Arthur Guinness, the founder of the business, and staged in various venues across the world. Some of the UK’s biggest names joined in the fun – including the Sugababes, Razorlight and Calvin Harris – and it proved such a roaring success that Guinness have elected to make Arthur’s Day an annual occasion.

In 2010 the Guinness brewing company reaches that most important of milestones: it turns 251 years old.

On September 23rd 2010, there will be a whole host of concerts around Ireland’s major cities, with Dublin of course the focus as the Guinness brewery is located there. Arthurs Day 2010 tickets are on sale now for the following stellar lineup of gigs:

Editors head the list of new names added to the T in the Park line-up this week, which also includes Frightened Rabbit and Delta Maid. The festival is only 21 days away and some of the biggest names in music have been confimed to play across the weekend.

Muse, Eminem and Kasabian will headline the event which runs from the 9th to 11th July. The Black Eyed Peas, The Prodigy, Madness, Calvin Harris, Jay-Z, Stereophonics and Faithless will also entertain the 85,000 strong crowd.

There are over 1,500 T in the Park tickets yet to be sold, with weekend ticket prices starting at £220. Day tickets can be bought for £125 with nearly 50 acts appearing on each day of the festival.

V Festival weekend tickets: Kings of Leon and Kasabian

This year’s V Festival line-up is arguably it’s best yet, with Kings of Leon and Kasabian headlining two epic days of music.

Joining Kings of Leon on Saturday 21st August at Hylands Park, and Sunday 22nd August at Weston Park will be Stereophonics, Paul Weller, Editors, The Courteeners, Passion Pit, Feeder and David Guetta.

Supporting Kasabian at Weston Park on Saturday 21st August, and Hylands Park on Sunday 22nd August will be Faithless, The Kooks, Paolo Nutini, Madness, Seasick Steve, Skunk Anansie, Pixie Lott and The Prodigy.

Acts also confirmed to appear at both venues across the weekend include Florence and The Machine, Doves, Calvin Harris, White Lies, Jamie T and Scouting for Girls.

Glastonbury tickets may now be completely unattainable, but there are plenty of other festivals and concerts taking place this summer. Here at Tixdaq.com, we have comprised a short list of what could be considered as some great alternatives for music fans that missed out on Glastonbury tickets this year:

Isle of Wight Festival tickets:

Fans with Isle of Wight Festival tickets can expect big things this summer, with a line-up that could be considered one of the best festival bills of the summer. The event will be headlined by Jay-Z, The Strokes and Paul McCartney and there will also be appearances across the weekend from the likes of Florence and the Machine, Blondie, Calvin Harris and Biffy Clyro.

Isle of Wight festival weekend with camping tickets can be picked up on the secondary ticket market for around £185. Alternatively, weekend tickets without camping can be bought for as little as £120.

Hard Rock Calling tickets:

Although only in it’s fourth year in 2010, Hard Rock Calling is quickly establishing itself as one of the best London festivals of the year. This year, as well as his Isle of Wight appearance, Paul McCartney will be headlining, along with Pearl Jam and Stevie Wonder. Other acts include The Hives, Jamiroquai, Crowded House, Crosby, Stills and Nash and Elvis Costello.

Although weekend tickets are not available, Hard Rock Calling day tickets are currently trading for as little as £40. That is less than the average price paid to see Paul McCartney perform at his upcoming headline shows here in the UK.

Reading and Leeds Festival tickets:

Perhaps a festival aimed more at the younger generation of festival goers, the Reading and Leeds festival boasts a huge line-up that can surely compete with that of Glastonbury. Blink 182, The Libertines, Guns N’ Roses, Arcade Fire, Dizzee Rascal and Cypress Hill will all be appearing on the main stage throughout the weekend.

Expect to pay around £230 on the secondary ticket market for a weekend ticket with camping to either Reading or Leeds. Considering the face value price was around £190 when the tickets went on sale a few months ago, it is well worth spending the extra few pounds to take advantage of the fantastic line-up.

Hop Farm Festival tickets:

Hop Farm Festival may not be the most talked about festival of the summer, but it will this year play host to the likes of Bob Dylan, Pete Doherty, Van Morrison, Laura Marling and Seasick Steve. The festival takes place in Tonbridge this July and is probably the cheapest alternative to Glastonbury this summer.

Day tickets cost around £45 each, with camping tickets costing £25 on top of that.

Gorillaz tickets:

Although not exactly a festival alternative, Gorillaz will be touring the UK in September on the back of their Glastonbury headline appearance. The band will be appearing at venues such as Glasgow SECC, Birmingham NIA, Newcastle Metro Radio Arena, Manchester MEN Arena,London O2 Arena and Dublin O2 Arena.

Gorillaz support acts for the September UK tour are yet to be announced, but expect some big names after appearances from Bobby Womack, De La Soul, Shaun Ryder and Super Furry Animals songwriter Gruff Rhys at the band’s Roundhouse shows in April. Ticket prices start at around £40.

Vampire Weekend to open this year’s Eden Sessions

Vampire Weekend have been confirmed as the opening act at this year’s Eden Sessions at The Eden Project in Cornwall. The popular US group played at the event two years ago and will return this summer on June 24th.

Vampire Weekend join previously announced headline acts Jack Johnson, Mika, Doves, Calvin Harris and Paolo Nutini.

Tiesto show to feature Muse on stage?

Tiesto will be joined by stars including Nelly Furtado, Calvin Harris and Muse live on stage at his Edinburgh concert next month. But the Dutch megastar DJ won’t be falling out over who headlines the show – the guests will be there virtually, thanks to a fantastic new technology system. Speaking to The Razz, Tiesto said: “On this tour, the visuals are unbelievable. I have a system called LiveSync, which is completely unique to me. It is the only one in the world. It looks almost like the people are really there on the stage with me.’

Tiesto is regarded as the biggest dance star in the world right now and his upcoming UK shows look to be hugely popular. The Tiesto tour will consist of five dates and the Dutch trance giant will visit venues in Sheffield, London, Cardiff, Liverpool and Birmingham. The dates are as follows:

Kasabian and Calvin Harris to play post-BRITS charity gig

It has recenty been revealed that Kasabian and Calvin harris will join La Roux at this month’s post-BRIT Awards charity concert.

The concert is set to take place after the 2010 BRIT Awards on February , and Tixdaq can confirm that Kasabian and Calvin Harris will be joining La Roux as well as some very special guests at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire following the BRIT Awards ceremony.

The event has been set by the War Child charity for the second year running. Last year’s post-BRIT Awards concert featrued performances from The Killers, Coldplay and Gary Barlow. War Child will be receiving support from O2 who sponsor the venue. All of the money raised will go towards helping children living in war zones across the globe.

Muse and Kasabian announced for the Big Day Out festival

It looks like many acts with upcoming UK tours are also heading to Australia and New Zealand for some festival action early next year.

The Big Day Out festival is scheduled to take place throughout January 2010, playing a total of six shows in Auckland (January 15), Gold Coast (January 17), Sydney (January 22), Melbourne (January 27), Adelaide (January 29) and Perth (January 31).

Muse and Kasabian are two rock bands who have been announced for the Big Day Out so far. Other UK acts due to appear include Lily Allen, Dizzee Rascal and Calvin Harris.

All these artists have upcoming UK tours to complete before heading to Australia and New Zealand.

The Muse tour for the album The Resistance is taking place at many major UK arenas such as the Sheffield Hallam FM Arena (November 4), Liverpool Echo Arena (November 5) and the London O2 Arena (November 12 & 13).

Also throughout November, Kasabian will be performing songs from their current album West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum as they tour across the UK across, playing at venues like the Newcastle Metro Radio Arena (November 10), London Wembley Arena (November 14 & 15) and the Manchester Evening News Arena (November 20).

Touring the UK this November and December, Lily Allen will be performing songs from current album It’s Not Me It’s You at venues including the Manchester Apollo (November 17 & 18), Birmingham National Indoor Arena (November 24) and the London Brixton O2 Academy (November 27 & 28, December 15 & 17).

Lily Allen will also headline two shows together with Dizzee Rascal at the Manchester Evening News Arena (March 5 2010) and the London O2 Arena (March 7), with tickets going on general sale on Friday October 9 at 9am.

The Dizzee Rascal tour is already underway this month where the Tongue N Cheek rapper will perform at the Birmingham O2 Academy (October 17), London Brixton O2 Academy (October 22) and the Leeds O2 Academy (October 26).

Calvin Harris is also touring the album Ready For The Weekend this month and in November, with gigs at the Manchester Academy (October 24), London HMV Forum (October 28) and the Glasgow O2 Academy (November 4).

Glastonbury may follow Reading and Leeds with flag ban

Earlier this month, a statement on the official website for the Reading and Leeds Festival announced that flags were not allowed to be brought into the main arena, in order to allow ticket holders the best possible view.

Some have opposed the ban, claiming that the wave of colours was a main feature of the festivals, and that the flags had some practical implications such as being used as a meeting point in the sea of people. However, others may be thrilled with the flag ban, especially those who have had their views obstructed by flags in the past.

Now it seems Glastonbury may implement the flag ban next year after conversations were held between Michael Eavis, the Glastonbury festival chief, and Melvin Benn, the head of Festival Republic.

Melvin Benn, who runs the Reading and Leeds Festivals and also helps to organise Glastonbury, reflected on this year’s Glastonbury festival, which was held in June, and claimed that there was poor visibility of the acts on stage because of the number of flags.

Melvin Benn continued to say that there had always been flags at festivals but not to the extent as now, where flags had become very long and tall and there were more flags now than ever before.

For now, no official decision on a flag ban at Glastonbury has been made, and despite some protests against the flag ban at the Reading and Leeds Festival 2009, event organisers have failed to respond.

Despite the summer months coming to an end marking the end of the festival season, there are still plenty of festivals to look forward to in the UK.

Of course, the Reading and Leeds Festival is still to come, taking place at Reading Richfield Avenue and Leeds Bramham Park from August 28-30, headlined by Arctic Monkeys, Radiohead and Kings of Leon.

However if dance is more your taste in music, you can check out Creamfields 2009 which takes place at the Halston Daresbury Estate from August 29-30 where you can catch Basement Jaxx, Dizzee Rascal and Calvin Harris in action.

Get Loaded In The Park is one of the last of the biggest festivals that take place in the capital, and is happening at London Clapham Common on August 30, featuring Orbital, Royksopp, VV Brown, and a DJ set from Pendulum.

Bestival 2009 is one of the last festivals to feature some chart-toppping acts such as Elbow, Massive Attack, Lily Allen, Florence and the Machine, and Little Boots. Bestival 2009 is taking place at the Isle of Wight Robin Hill Adventure Park from September 11-13.

Calvin Harris beats Tinchy Stryder for the Number 1 album

Calvin Harris has entered this week's album chart at number one with Ready For The Weekend.

This week’s number one album saw a battle between two of this year’s successful artists: Calvin Harris and Tinchy Stryder.

It was Ready For The Weekend by Calvin Harris that came out on top whilst Catch 22 by Tinchy Stryder had to settle for the number two slot.

Both artists have enjoyed much chart success recently. Calvin Harris, who stormed the charts with his collaboration with Dizzee Rascal on Dance Wiv Me, has rarely been seen out of the charts since.

Meanwhile, Tinchy Stryder already has two number one singles to his name. The single Never Leave You featuring Amelle Berrabah from the Sugababes is the number three single this week having hit the number one spot in its first week. The single Number One, which was a collaboration with N-Dubz, is now spending its 18th week in the top 40.

Another act who is hanging around in the charts is Beyonce with the album I Am Sasha Fierce, which is spending its 40th week in the chart and is this week’s number three album.

Dizzee Rascal and Calvin Harris to collaborate again

Dizzee Rascal is hoping for another number one single after planning to release a second collaboration with Calvin Harris, taken from the new upcoming album Tongue N Cheek.

Their previous collaboration Dance Wiv Me spent four weeks at number one when it was released in June 2008.

Dizzee Rascal describes how their number one hit inspired the collaboration to happen for the second time, with Calvin Harris producing the song Holiday.

Calvin Harris sent Dizzee Rascal a few songs but only one of them stuck, which Dizzee Rascal put the lyrics to and believes this one will also get an amazing reception from music fans.

Holiday will be released as a single at the end of August, just before the new album Tongue N Cheek is released on September 7.

Tongue N Cheek will also feature the recent number one single Bonkers, which was a collaboration with Armand Van Helden.

Dizzee Rascal claims he was surprised Bonkers was a success, and got an even bigger reaction than Dance Wiv Me when played live for the first time, even though Dance Wiv Me was number one at the time.

Dizzee Rascal fans can catch him in action in many summer festivals as well as his UK tour.

It has recently been announced that dance DJ Calvin Harris will perform live the last of the Somerset House Summer Series shows, held at the London Somerset House.

The Calvin Harris gig will take place on July 20 after a host of other acts have already graced the stage with their own headline gig at the London Somerset House over the course of July this year.

In fact, many of the acts performing at this year’s Somerset House Summer Series will also be preparing for their UK tours, performing at other venues across the UK.

The first Somerset House Summer Series gig will take place on July 9 with Grace Jones, who will also make an appearance at the Latitude Festival at the Southwold Henham Park (July 16-19) and the Beachdown Festival at the Brighton Devil’s Dyke (August 28-31).

Four more acts have been added to the line-up for this year’s iTunes Festival.

The iTunes Festival, now in its third year, is taking place at the London Roundhouse throughout July.

The four new confirmed acts and dates for the iTunes Festival are:

Johnny Vaughan and Lisa Snowdon have announced six new acts set to perform at Capital FM Summertime Ball on Sunday June 7 at the Emirates Stadium, London.

The most surprising act to be announced so far is the boy band, Blue, who have decided to reform especially for the Capital FM Summertime Ball.

Leona Lewis will perform what could be her only live show of the year in the UK, as fans wait for more news on the release of her hotly anticipated second album.

Calvin Harris held off competition from La Roux whose single ‘In For The Kill’ climbed two places from last week to number two, whilst ‘Poker Face’ from Lady GaGa fell one place to number three.

In the album chart, Lady GaGa held onto top spot with ‘The Fame’ whilst Kings of Leon climbed one place from last week to number two after a total of 30 weeks in the album chart with ‘Only By The Night’.

Kings of Leon play a series of massive shows at the London O2 Arena and the Manchester Evening News Arena in June. Kings of Leon tickets are available from £90.

The highest new entry in the album chart this week came from Chris De Burgh who entered the album chart at number four with ‘Footsteps’. The second highest new entry in the album chart came from Madeleine Peyroux with ‘Bare Bones’ at number twelve.

Lily Allen and Franz Ferdinand headline Radio 1′s Big Weekend

Radio 1 has confirmed that Lily Allen, Dizzee Rascal, Kasabian, Calvin Harris and Franz Ferdinand are to headline this years Radio 1 Big Weekend due to take place in Swindon’s Lydiard Park on the weekend of 9 and 10 May.

Radio 1′s big weekend is the UK’s biggest free ticketed music festival and drawing over 500,000 applications for tickets in 2008.

Also joining the bill will be White Lies, The Enemy, The Wombats, Basement Jaxx, Friendly Fires, Alesha Dixon, Ne-Yo, Akon, Ladyhawke, King Blues, Florence And The Machine, Jack Penate, The Saturdays and Gossip. They join N-Dubz and Snow Patrol who were announced for the two day event last month.

BBC Radio 1 have adopted a variation of the free ticket ballot model for the release of the highly in demand 40,000 tickets with the ballot weighted in favour of those living in Swindon. Ticket registration will be open from Wednesday from 8.15am and until 10am on 20 April.
