Bestival 2011 stage times revealed

The stage times for this year’s Bestival have now been revealed, with performances from the likes of The Cure, Pendulum, Bjork, Fatboy Slim, Primal Scream and PJ Harvey set to take place across the weekend.

The last remaining Bestival tickets are available to buy online for the event taking place at Robin Hill Country Park on the Isle of Wight from the 9th to 11th September.

Scroobius Pip to make solo album

Scroobius Pip is to break from his partnership with Dan Le Sac (for a time at least) and make a solo record it has been revealed today.

The album will be released on September 19th and is entitled Distraction Pieces. The tracklisting for the forthcoming Distracted Pieces album is.

The NME reports that Pip told of the second song of the album Let ‘Em Come that, “This was the song that made me want to make this record… it’s hard to sum up but I guess it’s about sticking at something that you are passionate about past those exciting first few years, and keeping that passion despite the obstacles and pitfalls.”

Scroobius Pip is set to perform a one off London show on August 18th.

Dan Le Sac VS Scroobius Pip tickets on sale for additional live dates

Dan Le Sac and Scroobius Pip are probably most famous for their 2007 song Thou Shalt Always Kill, which rather interestingly won the NME Single Of The Week gong – despite containing the lyric “Thou Shalt Not Read NME.”

It should be pointed out that the duo do not extol the virtues of murdering countless poor souls. Instead, Thou Shalt Always Kill refers to what those familiar with hip hop lingo call performing excellently.

Debut album Angles soon followed on Radio One DJ Rob Da Bank’s label Sunday Best, and follow-up LP The Logic Of Chance was released in March 2010.

Dan Le Sac VS Scroobius Pip tickets are on sale now for their UK tour dates. Given that the pair have stated on their official website that they don’t plan to tour at all in 2011, this is the last chance for fans to see them live for a long time. Support acts will be Kid A for all dates, Misty’s Big Adventure (all dates except Bristol and Brighton) and Gaggle at Bristol and Brighton.

Camden Crawl 2010 lineup announced!

Camden Crawl has released news of its lineup to excited fans of the London festival, and it looks set to be a fabulous event as ever! The event will take place in a multitude of venues across the North London borough, and will be headlined by Sugababes, We Are Scientists and Lostprophets. Other acts set to appear at the festival include Cornershop, Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip, Pulled Apart By Horses and The Sunshine Underground.

Camden Crawl 2010 will take place on May bank holiday weekend from May 1st – May 2nd 2010. Dan le Sac vs Scroobius Pip release new single

The first single from celebrated dance act Dan le Sac vs Scroobius Pip’s second album is out today. The track is called Get Better and comes from new LP The Logic Of Chance, the highly anticipated follow-up to 2008 album Angles which will be released on March 15th 2010.

The electronic duo shot to fame with the smash Thou Shalt Always Kill, a brilliant set of commandments deriding British culture – with tongue firmly lodged in cheek. It is particularly famous for becoming NME single of the week, despite the lyric “Thou shalt not read NME”. Following that success, the pair are looking to build an even bigger following, and The Logic Of Chance is a hugely ambitious progression. They tour the UK in support of the album beginning this month, and full dates are listed below:
