There are still 300 tickets listed on ticketing websites with prices starting at £50. The band were a huge success at Download festival at the weekend after delighting festival-goers with their hit-filled set on the main stage.

Their Download performance was their first here in the UK for two years and their O2 performance tomorrow will be the only other chance for UK fans to catch the band this year.

Hard Rock Calling tickets have been falling in price in recent weeks, with tickets to see Paul McCartney on the final day of the festival, Sunday 27th June, now trading from £32. In fact, it is cheaper to buy Paul McCartney tickets for his Hard Rock Calling performance than to buy tickets for any of his scheduled stadium shows. With a general admission day ticket, fans will gain full entry to the festival and can also witness performances from the likes of Crowded House, Elvis Costello and Crosby, Stills and Nash.

Hard Rock Calling takes place in Hyde Park from Friday 25th June to Sunday 27th June. Hard Rock Calling tickets for Pearl Jam’s headline performance on the Friday can also be picked up for £32. Saturday tickets for Stevie Wonder’s headline appearance start at £45.

Download Festival tickets are still available, despite the event getting under way tomorrow. Download weekend tickets are currently available on the secondary ticket market for less than £150. Music fans with download tickets will have the chance to witness headline performances from AC/DC, Rage Against the Machine and Aerosmith. This year’s line up also includes Deftones, Motorhead, Slash, 30 Seconds to Mars, Bullet For My Valentine, The Blackout and A Day to Remember.

Hop Farm Festival tickets are also trading below face value. Hop Farm Festival may not be the most talked about festival of the summer, but it will this year play host to the likes of Bob Dylan, Pete Doherty, Van Morrison, Laura Marling and Seasick Steve. The festival takes place in Tonbridge this July and day tickets cost around £45 each, with camping tickets costing £25 on top of that.

What seems to be less known is that Steven Tyler, Joe Perry et al will also be performing at the London O2 Arena on June 15 with a substantial amount of tickets remaining unsold. At the last count there were over 1700 Aerosmith tickets available which is a remarkable figure for a band that have stood the test of time.

It is possible that the majority of Aerosmith’s  hardcore UK fans will be making the journey to Castle Donington to see their heroes but you would expect a band with 40 years worth of music making behind them to sell out their show in the capital.

One drawback could be that it is right in the middle of festival season and, with money tight, many rock fans are having to pick and choose their gigs. Nevertheless, anyone with an interest in seeing a seminal rock band live could do worse than part with the £50 currently being asked by GetMeIn for a seat in the upper tier of the arena – the cheapest ticket on offer.

But if you want a great view as close to the stage as possible then you may have to fork out up to £680 via Ticket Network to sit in prized Block 101 with that price perhaps suggesting that Aerosmith are still very much in demand after all.

Weekend ticket holders can expect headline performances from AC/DC, Aerosmith and, on the back of their Finsbury Park Rage Factor performance, Rage Against the Machine. Other acts confirmed to appear across the weekend include Deftones, Motorhead, Slash, 30 Seconds to Mars, Bullet For My Valentine, The Blackout and A Day to Remember.

The tickets are three-day passes that allow the holder to get away from the mud and overflowing urinals by staying in an exclusive campsite. You can stay in a ‘kabin’ a caravan, a ‘tipi’ or even a hotel as you recover from a day or three moshing to Megadeth and co.

Download Festival is being held at the infamous Castle Donington venue that has been a home to hard rock music for decades. This year’s Download Festival is a three-day event featuring huge headline acts such as AC/DC, Rage Against The Machine and Aerosmith.

Download Festival RIP tickets have been sold out on the primary ticket market for some time but can still be purchased on the secondary ticket market. The RIP tickets are not cheap with prices ranging from £715 to £894 for the duration of the Download Festival but as you get to see some rock gods AND get a good night’s sleep it will definitely appeal to many festival goers.

The comment that was posted on the AC/DC site was removed shortly after and the festival’s promoter, Live Nation, have suggested that the band probably want to play the 2010 Download event, but they have definitely not been added to the bill.

It is believed that Live Nation and AC/DC will confirm the news in due course. Following the success of the the AC/DC tour earlier this year, there is little doubt that the legendary rockers would be a very popular addition to the Download Festival line-up.

Calvin Harris has entered this week's album chart at number one with Ready For The Weekend.

This week’s number one album saw a battle between two of this year’s successful artists: Calvin Harris and Tinchy Stryder.

It was Ready For The Weekend by Calvin Harris that came out on top whilst Catch 22 by Tinchy Stryder had to settle for the number two slot.

Both artists have enjoyed much chart success recently. Calvin Harris, who stormed the charts with his collaboration with Dizzee Rascal on Dance Wiv Me, has rarely been seen out of the charts since.

Meanwhile, Tinchy Stryder already has two number one singles to his name. The single Never Leave You featuring Amelle Berrabah from the Sugababes is the number three single this week having hit the number one spot in its first week. The single Number One, which was a collaboration with N-Dubz, is now spending its 18th week in the top 40.

Another act who is hanging around in the charts is Beyonce with the album I Am Sasha Fierce, which is spending its 40th week in the chart and is this week’s number three album.

It has recently been announced that Radiohead will treat their fans to previously unheard tracks at the forthcoming Reading and Leeds festival.

Radiohead have also revealed that they will be releasing a new song entitled These Are My Twisted Words as a free download.

Radiohead guitarist, Jonny Greenwood, posted a comment on the Dead Air Space blog confirming the band will be playing the new track and some other new material at the Reading and Leeds Festival. Dizzee Rascal is hoping for another number one single after planning to release a second collaboration with Calvin Harris, taken from the new upcoming album Tongue N Cheek.

Their previous collaboration Dance Wiv Me spent four weeks at number one when it was released in June 2008.

Dizzee Rascal describes how their number one hit inspired the collaboration to happen for the second time, with Calvin Harris producing the song Holiday.

Calvin Harris sent Dizzee Rascal a few songs but only one of them stuck, which Dizzee Rascal put the lyrics to and believes this one will also get an amazing reception from music fans.

Holiday will be released as a single at the end of August, just before the new album Tongue N Cheek is released on September 7.

Tongue N Cheek will also feature the recent number one single Bonkers, which was a collaboration with Armand Van Helden.

Dizzee Rascal claims he was surprised Bonkers was a success, and got an even bigger reaction than Dance Wiv Me when played live for the first time, even though Dance Wiv Me was number one at the time.

The Noisettes are going to embark on a UK tour after the release of their second album Wild Young Hearts, which reached number seven in the UK charts earlier this year.

It seems that the popularity of the Noisettes has stemmed from the single Don’t Upset The Rhythm (Go Baby Go), which featured on an advert for Mazda.

The song became so popular that it reached number two in the UK singles chart, and is their best selling single to date.

Enter Shikari have announced UK tour dates for this October to coincide with the recent release of their second studio album titled Common Dreads.

The Prodigy have confirmed that they are planning a collaboration with Dizzee Rascal.

Dizzee Rascal has already supported The Prodigy during their UK tour of the album Invaders Must Die in April 2009.

Dizzee Rascal recently expressed his wish to work with The Prodigy, describing their live shows as powerful and intense.

Speaking at last weekend’s Download Festival, Liam Howlett and Keith Flint of The Prodigy revealed that the collaboration was on the way, and that it was just a matter of time before they headed to the studio together.

Anvil, Anthrax and Twisted Sister will support AC/DC at their US shows

Anvil has joined Anthrax and Twisted Sister to be the support acts for AC/DC at their two US shows.

AC/DC will perform at the Massachusetts Gillette Stadium on July 28 and then the New Jersey Giants Stadium on July 31.

AC/DC released their 15th studio album in October 2008 titled Black Ice and fans can expect to see AC/DC perform tracks from this album as well as many more from their back catalogue.

British fans of AC/DC will be pleased to hear that the Australian band will be coming to the UK to perform massive shows at the London Wembley Stadium (June 26) and Glasgow Hampden Park (June 30).

The sixth studio album from Placebo called Battle For The Sun is released on June 8 and is the first album with new drummer Steve Forrest.
