Excitement is currently building for the release of Example’s third studio album, Playing in the Shadows, which will be out on on September 4th.

The new record sees Example move into the world of dub-step as he collaborates with the likes of Nero, Skream and Chase and Status. The track listing for the new record is as such:

Foo Fighters to broadcast live concert in 3D

Foo Fighters’ new album ‘Wasting Light’ will be performed and broadcast to cinema screens across the US . The move comes on the back of many bands choosing to broadcast gigs in cinemas, with Faithless and The Prodigy to name but two.

But band are to now add an extra dimension to the experience by allowing fans to watch the performance in 3D.

Jonathan Dern, president of Cinedigm Entertainment Group, said “This is a collaboration of world class, innovative and experienced 3D partners in the business. We look forward to providing a fantastic evening to fans around the country”.

The documentary and live show is due to air across 80 cinemas in the US on April the 5th. No details have been released for any UK screenings yet, although they are expected to occur later in the year.

Foo Fighters have a number of festival dates lined up for this summer, playing T in the Park and the Isle of Wight Festival amongst other dates.

Final Faithless gig to be broadcast in cinemas

The dance trio will split up after a final show at London’s O2 Academy Brixton on April 8. The show will be broadcast in various cinemas around Europe.

The dance band, featuring rapper Maxi Jazz plus DJs/producers Sister Bliss and Rollo, formed in 1995 in London. They had a top 3 hit with ‘Insomnia’ in 1996 and released their last studio album, ‘The Dance’, last year.

Speaking about their split, Maxi Jazz said: “We’ve had, with you, the most unbelievable, epic and moving experience. Quite naturally people grow, change and leave the things of youth behind them. If I devoted the rest of my life to the task, I could NEVER thank you enough. I have memories that will still be with me in my next life”.

Faithless to split after current tour

Faithless have confirmed that they are to split up following their current European tour. Singer Maxi Jazz confirmed the news in a recent statement.

“After 15 years and six albums I think we’ve probably made our collective point” and it was ”time to close the book and return to the library.

“We’ve had, with you [fans], the most unbelievable, epic and moving experience, stretching over years and tens of thousands of miles. Joyful, exhilarating and empowering, we never for a moment thought an affair could last this long.

“If I devoted the rest of my life to the task, I could NEVER thank you enough. I have memories that will still be with me in my next life.

“But, like when writing a song, you always just ‘know’ when it’s finished… this is and was the “Thank YOU And Goodbye’ tour and to be truthful, I really hope you just pick up the ball of your life.. And RUN WITH IT!!”

The band released their 6th and final album last year, with Faithless tickets currently available for their final UK shows in Glasgow and London in April.

Dance act Faithless release tickets tomorrow for two dates in London next year. Faithless will be playing at the Brixton Academy next April.

Famous for huge club anthems such as “Insomnia” and “God is a DJ”, Faithless will play the intimate venue for two nights treating the crowd to a live rendition of the dance tunes.

The bands will play Brixton Academy on the 7th and 8th April 2011.

Faithless tickets on sale Friday for The Dance UK Tour

Popular dance act Faithless released their sixth album The Dance in May 2010, and played a number of concerts in support of the LP shortly afterwards. Then they played T in the Park, Oxegen and V Festival, but still: the country just cannot get enough of Faithless.

Best known for their songs Insomnia, God Is A DJ, We Come 1 and Mass Destruction, it is easy to run out of superlatives when describing Faithless. Due to extreme demand from their fans, they will embark on a UK tour in November and December, and Faithless tickets for these dates will go on sale this Friday 27th August. Faithless confirm UK Arena tour

Faithless tickets will be available on Friday 27th August for the dance act’s winter UK arena tour. The band will perform shows in, Bournemouth, Cardiff, Nottingham, Manchester, Newcastle, Glasgow, Sheffield, Birmingham and London in November and December this year.

The tour will take place in support of the latest Faithless studio album, The Dance and British artist Example has been confirmed as the support act for all dates.

V Festival tickets available as both sites prepare to open gates

There are still a limited number of V Festival tickets available on the secondary ticket market. The festival sites in Chelmsford and Shifnal will open to music fans tomorrow, and today could be the last chance to buy weekend and day tickets.

The festival will be headlined by Kasabian and Kings of Leon, with both bands recently promising big performances. The Prodigy, David Guetta, Stereophonics, Paul Weller, Editors, Faithless and The Kooks are just some of the many huge names also set to appear across the weekend.

Both V Festival Chelmsford weekend tickets and V Festival Shifnal weekend tickets start trading at £187. The cheapest Chelmsford day tickets are priced at £90 whilst the cheapest Shifnal day tickets cost £100. In total, there are just over 650 V Festival tickets still on the market.

Kasabian promise big V Festival performance

Kasabian have promised fans a big performance when they headline V Festival this weekend. The group will top a line-up that includes Faithless, The Kooks, Madness and Paolo Nutini at both Chelmsford and Shifnal and are said to be excited at the prospect of finishing their summer at the festival. Guitarist Sergio Pizzorno has told fans to expect a “rave” and “to try and make it the greatest night out anyone has had this year.”

There are still over 2,000 V Festival tickets on the market, with day and weekend tickets available for both locations. Both V Festival Chelmsford weekend tickets and V Festival Shifnal weekend tickets start trading at £195. The cheapest Chelmsford day tickets are priced at £89 whilst the cheapest Shifnal day tickets cost £100.

Other headliners, Kings Of Leon have confirmed that they will be performing material from their forthcoming album, Come Around Sundown.

Kings Of Leon have announced that they are to preview tracks from their forthcoming album, Come Around Sundown, when they headline V Festival in both Chelmsford and Shifnal later this month. The record has been eagerly anticipated by fans ever since the success of Only By The Night, which contained singles such as Sex On Fire and Use Somebody.

The band will headline the festival along with Kasabian, with other acts such as Stereophonics, Paul Weller, The Kooks, Faithless, David Guetta, The Prodigy, Calvin Harris, Paolo Nutini and Editors also confirmed to appear across the weekend.

The Prodigy hailed as Most Influential Dance Act of All time ahead of Milton Keynes Bowl gig

The Prodigy have been named as ‘The Most Influential Dance Act of All Time’ according to a survey commissioned by Global Gathering. The band received a higher percentage of votes than acts such as Daft Punk, Faithless, New Order and Orbital in order to run out as winners.

The electronic trio have sold over 20million albums since forming in the early 1990′s and recently performed a hit-filled set at Scotland’s T In The Park Festival.

The band’s next outing will be a huge headline performance at Milton Keynes National Bowl, where they will be supported by Pendulum. The Prodigy tickets are currently trading from £60 each on ticket exchange websites Viagogo, Seatwave and GetMeIn.

Beyoncé could join Jay-Z at T In The Park

After Beyoncé made a surprise cameo appearance on stage with husband Jay-Z at Coachella earlier this year, T In The Park ticket holders could be in for an unexpected treat. Beyoncé was welcomed on stage by her husband in order to perform a duet of Forever Young to delighted festival goers in California, and rumours are now circulating that the same thing could happen again.

Jay-Z is set to appear on the main stage at T In The Park on Sunday night, performing before headline act Kasabian. T In The Park is Scotland’s biggest festival and will this year play host to some of the most recognised names in music today, including Eminem, Muse, Stereophonics, Biffy Clyro, Faithless, The Black Eyed Peas, Prodigy and Madness.

Even though the festival gets under way next week, T In The Park tickets are still available. Weekend ticket prices start at £200, with day tickets currently trading from £104.

T4 On The Beach full line up and stage times confirmed

Summer is festival season. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to understand why the combination of fantastic live music and sunny weather goes down a treat with music fans, and there are plenty of outstanding line-ups to choose from this summer.

However, why not be that little bit more adventurous and make a trip of it? Rock Werchter, located approximately 20 miles from Brussels, Belgium has one of the best line-ups around. It is headlined by Faithless, Muse, Green Day, Editors, Rammstein, Pink, Pearl Jam, and Arcade Fire, and the list of acts across the stages is as consistently excellent as that list.

T In The Park is twinned with Oxegen Festival in Ireland in 2010 – in much the same way that Reading and Leeds Festival are. That means that the Scottish festival will share many of the same phenomenal acts as its Irish partner – Muse, Eminem, Kasabian, Faithless, Stereophonics, Jay-Z, The Black Eyed Peas and The Prodigy to name but a few.

However, T In The Park also gets plenty acts that it can call its own. Madness, The Proclaimers, Skunk Anansie and The View are examples of groups that will only be playing at T.

T In The Park tickets are on sale for £200 through Play.com for a full weekend ticket, while day tickets cost upwards of £110 from Viagogo.

Editors head the list of new names added to the T in the Park line-up this week, which also includes Frightened Rabbit and Delta Maid. The festival is only 21 days away and some of the biggest names in music have been confimed to play across the weekend.

Muse, Eminem and Kasabian will headline the event which runs from the 9th to 11th July. The Black Eyed Peas, The Prodigy, Madness, Calvin Harris, Jay-Z, Stereophonics and Faithless will also entertain the 85,000 strong crowd.

There are over 1,500 T in the Park tickets yet to be sold, with weekend ticket prices starting at £220. Day tickets can be bought for £125 with nearly 50 acts appearing on each day of the festival.

If you were one of the many music fans unable to get a ticket to this year’s Glastonbury festival, there are still many other opportunities to see your favourite artists performing live this year.

The full Glastonbury line-up was announced today, and as expected, the festival will showcase a host of huge names from the world of music. Oxegen tickets on sale friday, headliners announced

Arcade Fire have been confirmed to headline this year’s Oxegen festival in Dublin. The group are set to play on the first night of the event, which runs from July 9-11 at Punchestown racecourse in Naas.

Fatboy Slim has also been confirmed to play at the festival, joining previously announced acts such as Eminem, Muse, Jay-Z, The Black Eyed Peas, Kasabian, The Prodigy, Florence and the Machine, Paolo Nutini, Faithless, Stereophonics, David Guetta and Vampire Weekend.

V Festival lineup has finally been announced and it looks to be an extravaganza with fantastic live acts across the board. The festival at Hylands Park near Chelmsford will first be headlined by the brilliant Kings of Leon on August 21st 2010, and the next night Kasabian will delight the crowd.

Muse and Kasabian join Oxegen line-up

Muse and Kasabian have joined Eminem in the line-up for this summer’s Oxegen festival. The event – known as one of the biggest-growing festivals in Europe – takes place on July 9-11 on Punchtown Racecourse near Dublin. Oxegen tickets are available to compare through Tixdaq.com.

Dizzee Rascal confirmed for Stratford festival

Dizzee Rascal and Faithless have been announced as the headline acts of the 2010 Global Gathering Festival. They are the only artists so far confirmed for the Stratford-upon-Avon event, which takes place on July 30-31. Global Gathering tickets are available to compare here.

Before the July festival, Dizzee Rascal will be touring the UK throughout February and March. He is set to visit a number of top venues across the UK including Doncaster Dome (February 27), Brighton Centre (March 2), MEN Arena (March 5) and the O2 Arena in London on March 7.

Dizzee Rascal will be joined by Lily Allen for the two massive shows at the MEN Arena and the O2 Arena.
