The guitarist from the band Jimmy Smith stated that “We all have healthy drinking problems. Some of us have other problems on top of the drinking problem.”

The comments were very much jovial in tone and not serious reflections of their lifestyles but indicate that the Foals certainly are enjoying themselves whilst on tour.

The interview was ahead of their closing performance at Latitude Festival, which finished off the festival for 2011.

Also on the Latitude festival was Ed Sheeran who will be playing at Bestival this year.

Festival goers had enjoyed a day full of sunshine on the Friday, but will now have to rely on wellies for the remainder of the event.

Paolo Nutini headlined the main stage yesterday evening, and was supported by the likes of My Morning Jacket, the Cribs, Seasick Steve and Rumer. Foals closed the Word Arena.

Suede will bring the festival to a close this evening, following performances throughout the day from Hurts, Glasvegas, Anna Calvi, Eels, Lykke Li and Everything Everything.

The weekend is headlined by Black Eyed Peas today (July 1st), The Chemical Brothers on Saturday (July 2nd) and Pulp (July 3rd). Headlining the Pepsi Max Stage are David Guetta (July 1st), Aphex Twin (July 2nd) and Foals (July 3rd), with Alexis Jordan, Battles, and The Pretty Reckless just a sample of the other acts appearing.

Pulp’s headline show comes after their recent reunion – previously they had been on a hiatus since 2002. Last weekend they took Glastonbury by storm when performing a secret gig on The Park Stage.

The festival is set in the heart of London in Hyde Park, which last night (June 30th) played host to 60,000 fans watching a spectacular Arcade Fire set.

Moran, who became a mainstream success in the sitcom Black Books alongside Bill Bailey, has also appeared in films such as Shaun Of The Dead and Run, Fatboy, Run. His appearance at the Suffolk event will take place as part of his current UK tour.

Latitude Festival will take place at Henham Park from the 15th to 17th July, and will again boast a line-up full of intriguing music, comedy and literature acts.

The National will headline the festival on the Friday evening, Paolo Nutini will top the bill on Saturday and Suede will close the festival on the Sunday night. This coming weekend (July 8th-10th) sees T In The Park descend into Balado, Scotland. Famous for its charged atmosphere and unique Scottish vibe, the three-day event once again has a world-class line-up. Featuring headline sets from Arctic Monkeys, Coldplay and Foo Fighters, support comes from an incredible line-up including Beyonce, The Strokes, Pulp, The Script, 2manydjs, and My Chemical Romance. Latitude Festival arrives in Suffolk on July 15th, for three days of incredible music in one of the most relaxed festivals in the country. On August 20th, V Festival kicks off in Chelmsford (Hylands Park) and Staffordshire (Weston Park). Pendulum and Dizzee Rascal headline the 4Music Stage, with Duran Duran and Chase and Status set to top the bill on The Arena Stage. Both Reading Festival and Leeds Festival take place over the August bank holiday weekend, Friday 26th – Sunday 28th. The sixth edition of the festival will once again take place at Henham Park, near Southwold from July 14-17, and will feature a mix of music and arts performers.

A fourth headline act, who has not been confirmed, will perform on the main stage at midday on the final day of the festival. Radiohead’s Thom Yorke has previously performed in the slot, with revellers leaving their tent earlier that usual to catch his acoustic set of Radiohead and solo numbers.

6. Phantom Of The Opera at Her Majesty’s Theatre

Phantom Of The Opera tickets are available for a special New Year’s Eve showing of this classic musical. Perhaps Andrew Lloyd Webber’s finest work, this musical is a must-see for all theatre fans.

The band’s latest album “Total Life Forever” was released in May 2010 and reached the top ten in the UK Album Charts.

Biffy Clyro tickets are available for their upcoming UK arena tour, with prices starting at £20. The band will perform at Aberdeen Exhibition Centre, Glasgow SECC, Hull Arena, Nottingham Trent FM Arena, Plymouth Pavillions, Manchester Central, London Wembley Arena and Portsmouth Guildhall throughout November and December.

Perhaps the most sought after festival tickets since going on sale earlier this year are Reading and Leeds festival tickets. This year’s joint festival at Bramham Park, Leeds and Richfield Avenue, Reading will see the likes of Blink 182, Guns N’ Roses, The Libertines, Arcade Fire, Foals, We Are Scientists and many more take to the stage. Weekend tickets originally cost around £190 when going on sale in March, but officially sold out in less than an hour. Reading weekend tickets are widely available on the secondary ticket market below £250 and can even be picked up for as little as £225. Leeds weekend tickets are trading for even less, with prices starting at just £210.

The Isle of Wight festival will kick off the festival season this month, and is set to take place in Newport from the 11th to 13th June. This year’s festival can boast it’s most exciting line-up for many years as headliners include Jay-Z, The Strokes and the legendary Sir Paul McCartney. Isle of Wight weekend tickets, without camping are still available at the face value price of £130. Weekend with camping ticket prices start at just £185, a small price to pay to see so many huge acts.

V Festival is another hugely popular summer destination for music fans. The dual festival will take place in both Chelmsford and Shifnal on 21st and 22nd August and will this year play host to headline appearances from Kasabian and Kings of Leon. Interestingly, V Festival day tickets are available below £100, and considering many Kings of Leon fans are paying more than this to see the band’s headline show at Hyde Park in June, surely their V Festival appearance could be a better alternative, given the appearances on the same day from acts such as Stereophonics, Editors, Paul Weller and The Courteeners.

Yet another fantastic deal available this week is for Hyde Park’s Wireless festival, due to take place from the 2nd to 4th July. Wireless festival day tickets can be picked up for just £45 from secondary ticket websites, but are selling fast. Ticket holders can expect appearances from Snoop Dogg, LCD Soundsystem, The Ting Tings, Gossip and The Temper Trap.
