Chisora was stripped of his licence in March after an ugly press conference brawl with Haye following his unsuccessful heavyweight title bout against reigning world champion Vitali Klitschko the previous month.

Haye does not hold a valid licence to box in Britain after announcing his retirement last year.

However the former world champion is likely to face an uphill battle to regain his right to fight given the hardline stance by the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBOC) against Chisora.

But Chisora’s promoter Frank Warren has confirmed that a fight against Haye would now go ahead at the home of West Ham football club in east London in July.

Warren told the BBC that the fight would be licensed by the Luxembourg boxing association after Chisora’s appeal against his suspension was put back until July.

“The hearing was put back to July so Dereck will have effectively been out of the ring for six months and that equates, if he was a footballer, to being out of action for 24 matches,” Warren told BBC Radio Five Live.

“He has lost half of his purse in sanctions and costs since the Klitschko fight.

“He has no qualifications, the next thing for him to do would be to sign on (for state unemployment benefits).

“He is not banned from boxing. The fight has been licenced by the governing body in Luxembourg, which has the same standards as the British Boxing Board of Control.

“It is the biggest fight of the year and the fact of the matter is that the fight is legal, lawful and will go ahead.”

Any fight involving Chisora and Haye is likely to be the biggest British heavyweight bout since Lennox Lewis fought Frank Bruno in 1993.

The performing arts festival, which takes place from Wednesday June 22nd until Sunday June 26th, will play host to over 700 acts and more than 175,000 people. A recycling barn will also be present, staffed by 80 volunteers, for revellers to leave cans and other recyclable packages. The festival is taking place at the same time as Recycle Week. Worthy Farm, the site of the festival, has also become the UK’s largest privately owned solar power station, with the addition of more than 1000 solar panels.

Friday headliners U2 will be the victims of a tax protest aimed at highlighting the band’s alleged tax avoidance. Protesters Art Uncut will float a “huge bundle of fake cash” and hold up a large illuminated sign to say “Bono Pay Up.”

In a surprise phone call, Morissey, playing Friday, has asked to meet Newcastle United midfielder Joey Barton. The Telegraph reports that around 35 men and 65 women were asked to leave to leave the eight consecutive shows at the City of Manchester stadium by stewards for being too drunk to stay. Injuries such as sprained ankles, alcohol poisoning and even broken wrists were cited as needing hospital treatment at Manchester Royal Infirmary. A steward commented, “I have worked at lots of concerts and some of the drunkenness was unbelievable. Some women were slumped in their seats barely able to walk. It was way worse than a football match.” However, Inspector Mike Coombes, of Greater Manchester Police, said “overall the number of incidents and arrests are what we would have anticipated for a pop concert of this size.” There were 22 reports of crimes surrounding the shows, including a sexual assault and a number of thefts.

The South African has been struggling with a groin injury for several weeks, and has now revealed that it will rule him out of the visit to Madrid.
