A source told The Mirror, “Pulling out of this weekend’s gig is the final curtain call for them – especially as they’re all such huge Jacko fans.

“Things have been taking a turn for the worse over the past few months but this signals the end.”

The US group have stated “unavoidable circumstances” as the reason for their exit, after being announced to appear on the bill only a week ago. Chris Hunt, CEO of Global Live Events which is staging the show, said: “It is with regret that we announce the removal of Black Eyed Peas from the Michael Forever bill, but I look forward to a great night with other earth shattering artists.

“The event is really getting into gear and is going to be a fantastic evening for all.”

The concert, which will be attended by members of the Jackson family, will feature JLS, Christina Aguilera, Alexandra Burke, Leona Lewis, Ne-Yo, 3T, Cee-Lo Green, Smokey Robinson, Alien Ant Farm, Craig David, Alexandra Burke and Pixie Lott, and will be hosted by Oscar-winning actor Jamie Foxx.

The band, who last performed together in April 2008, will also feature bassist Paul Simonon, guitarist Simon Tong and drummer Tony Allen. Speaking about the upcoming show, Simonon said, “We’ve always supported Greenpeace and their amazing work. It should be a great night, we’re really looking forward to it.”

The Good, The Bad And The Queen tickets will go on sale this Friday, 7th October at 9am.

The concert will take place at London’s Earl’s Court on 11th December, and will also feature appearances from the cast of Hollyoaks and Made In Chelsea.

2010′s event featured performances from JLS, Tinie Tempah, Pixie Lott, Jason Derulo, The Saturdays and Example with the show being broadcast on T4 and 4Music.

Although organisers say around 26,000 tickets were taken up in the registration period, and despite tickets going on general sale yesterday morning, there are still plenty of tickets remaining. Headlining Green Man’s main stage tonight are rockers Explosions In The Sky who will be sure to provide the ultimate blow out to the first night of the festival. Acts playing during the rest of the weekend include Noah and the Whale, Laura Marling and James Blake.

Also performing tonight, at the Green Man Pub stage, is Ben Howard who many are currently tipping to become very big in the near future. He will be bringing his delightful blend of acoustic brilliance to Green Man and he offers a more mellow alternative to Explosions In The Sky.

London singer songwriter Kate Nash meanwhile has been helping out with the clean-up at Bethnal Green and in Clapham. It seems that these celebrities are eager to get involved with a reconstruction process which could take some time.

The music industry itself was hit quite hard by the rioting as merchandise was stolen from numerous record stores up and down the city in the past few days of violence and looting.

The Kaiser Chiefs will be touring the UK (once they have finished tidying it up) and will be playing two very special home-town shows at the Kirkstall Abbey in Leeds on the 10th and 11th September.

The news may shock die hard Oasis fans, who may feel aggrieved to hear that Noel is encouraging a lot of other acts to go back and play Oasis classics. These fans however should take heart from the fact that at a previous interview Noel stated that he definitely would play Oasis songs on his forthcoming tour of the UK.

Toby Green from the Independent gave their recent show at Somerset House 4 stars commenting, “this current Eels incarnation is most definitely a group enjoying themselves.”

Their up-beat, catchy, indie rock sound should provide Latitude goers with a memorable close to this year’s festival in Suffolk’s heartland.

The Oxford born, world conquering band have already released a vinyl with remixes of Little By Little (Caribiou remix) and Lotus Flower (Jacques Greene remix). Following this, the band are set to release a second vinyl from the new record which includes Bloom (Mark Pritchard remix), which comes out tomorrow (July 15th).

Now, on top of these Radiohead goodies, the band are going to release another vinyl which will feature Feral (Lone remix), Morning Mr Magpie (Pearson Sound Scavenger remix) and Separator (Four Tet remix). The latest vinyl will be released by the band in two weeks time.

The Radiohead announcement comes just days after the band’s drummer Phil Selway announced the release of a new solo EP entitled Running Blind which will be out on the 25th July.

Fans are very hopeful that Radiohead will be announcing details of a forthcoming tour very soon.

Taking place in the grounds of the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich, the festival can be found within a custom designed Big Top, filled with hilarious comedy, live music, bars and cabaret. The festival runs for a full week, from Monday September 5th to Sunday September 11th.

Stephen K Amos will close the festival on the Sunday, offering visitors a chance to enjoy his unique, truly exuberant comedy style. Music magazine NME reports that festival founder Stuart Galbraith has considered both Foo Fighters and Red Hot Chili Peppers for next year’s shows: “They’re both two that we’re talking to, amongst a whole list of others. I also think we could have Green Day and Blink-182 here, but none of those are confirmed.

The running order of the festival lists “Special guests” as appearing on The Park Stage at 8pm, and rumours had been circulating ever since The Sun printed a story claiming Radiohead were the unannounced band. The Oxfordshire greats today had their performance confirmed by their spokesman. It will be their first performance at the festival since 2003, although singer Thom Yorke and guitarist Johnny Greenwood made an appearance on The Park Stage last year. Radiohead’s 1997 headline performance is often voted the greatest ever at the festival.

Radiohead will be playing at the same time as Morrissey on the Pyramid Stage, Fleet Foxes and Mumford & Sons on The Other Stage, and The Coral and Example on The John Peel Stage.

Currently, the 8pm slot on The Park Stage is listed as “Special Guests”, and The Sun are reporting that Radiohead are the band filling it. Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke and guitarist Johnny Greenwood appeared unannounced last year to mark the 40th Anniversary of the festival, again playing The Park Stage. Radiohead’s last official appearance at Glastonbury was in 2003, and that set and their 1997 headline set have been described as two of the best ever seen at the festival.

However, festival officials have yet to endorse any rumour. A spokesman said today that the secret act was still “unconfirmed”, while earlier in the week organiser Emily Eavis told NME, “We are still unsure of exactly who is turning up, mainly because it’s unconfirmed at the moment. I swear I have heard every rumour – even that Led Zeppelin are playing.”

Glastonbury kicked off in full today, with revellers in high spirits despite the vast amounts of mud covering the festival site. Tonight U2 headline the Pyramid stage, but face a protest as audience-members, frustrated at the band’s alleged tax avoidance, plan to float a huge bundle of fake cash across the crowd.

The 38-year-old shocked the audience by singing a cover of Forget You by Cee Lo Green. The stage appearance was not the actress’ first time in Glee, already having made a cameo as a substitute teacher, Holly Holliday. The concert, at the Izod Centre in New Jersey, was being filmed for the summer release of a 3D concert-movie version of the show. Paltrow’s surprise appearance was the result of cheerleader Santana Lopez (played by Naya Rivera) boasting how she had been voted sexiest girl in the glee club. At this moment Paltrow burst onto the stage in stilettos, crying “Not so fast!”

The live show, a spin-off of the hugely successful TV series, will arrive in the UK next month for a string of shows across the UK.

Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong will perform in the film version of the Broadway musical, which was inspired by Green Day’s 2004 album ‘American Idiot’.

Tom Hanks’s production company ‘Playtone Productions’ took Mamma Mia! from the stage to the silver screen with huge success. They now hope to bring American Idiot to cinemas by 2013.

Armstrong will resurrect his part as St.Jimmy, the tickets sales declined once Armstrong left. When the show closed at the end of April Green Day performed an hour-long set ‘celebrating’ the show and its successful run.

Armstrong revealed via twitter that the band were working on new material ” There’s a ton of new songs. The Direction is fresh and Hi energy. feels Great’.

He’s also been helping his 16 year old son and his punk band ‘Emily’s Army’ record a 14 track album….

The American star says he created Scarlet Fever as a character who is present throughout the whole of the album. He has compared the relationship running through his album to that of Ace and Ginger in Martin Scorsese’s seminal gangster movie Casino.

“There was a character who I had written – her name was Scarlet Fever – which was my love interest throughout the mini-movie Lady Killer and Love Gun was her way of saying that she has been affected by me,” he said. “Just imagine Ace Rothstein and Ginger from the movie Casino; Ginger was Ace’s Scarlet. So Scarlet was my character, the one I was smitten by who was anything that a gangsta could want, but she was also the liability.”

Casino tells the story of Sam ‘Ace’ Rothstein, played by Robert De Niro – a top gambling handicapper who is called by the Mob to oversee the day-to-day operations at a casino in Las Vegas. Sharon Stone plays Ginger, Ace’s self-obsessed and devious wife in the film.

Armstrong helped write the musical, based on songs by his band, and he also joined the cast for a short run in Sptember 2010. He came back again in January but finished on February 27th.

Armstrong has now agreed to come to the rescue of the musical again and will join the cast from April 5th for the show’s final three weeks in the Big Apple.
