Hop Farm Festival live streaming is available all weekend.

Taking place over the weekend from today (July 1st) to Sunday (July 3rd), the festival will see headline performances from Eagles (Friday), Morrissey (Saturday) and Prince (Sunday). Also appearing over the three days are Bryan Ferry, Brandon Flowers, Iggy & The Stooges, Lou Reed, Tinie Tempah and The Human League.

A great line-up of new and established comedians will perform each night in the Comedy Tent, which opens from 11pm each night. The Late Nite Comedy Show features hilarious performances from Stewart Lee, Sean Hughes, Simon Munnery and many others. Also entertaining festival goers after the main bands have finished each evening from 11pm are the Ultimate Indie Disco and live acoustic performances on the Camp Acoustic Stage.

As soon as the Morrissey’s performance finished, Joyce was writing on his Twitter page to vent his frustration. The drummer wrote: “Great performance from M at Glasto but didn’t like the cover versions. M was in the group…but not in the band, those tunes belong to them.” In a later ‘tweet’ he continued, “The ‘band’ were the musicians in The Smiths…Mozzer wasn’t in the ‘band’ M was the singer/lyricist in the group.”

However, although he was frustrated that The Smiths’ songs were played, he said he still enjoyed the performance: “I just didn’t enjoy The Smiths songs. He sounded great tho.”

The singer tonight (June 30th) begins his UK and Europe tour, and will make a headline appearance at the Hop Farm Festival on Saturday (July 2nd).

The gigs will be the first in the UK since 2008, and will showcase the band’s seventh album Codes and Keys, which was released at the end of May. The second single from the record, the title track, will be released on August 8th. Their UK dates begin with an appearance at the Hop Farm Festival on July 1st, followed by a show supporting Foo Fighters in Milton Keynes the next day. They will then play three headline shows in Manchester, Nottingham and London.

He has written the follow-up to his 2009 album Swords, but says it won’t be released until he has a record deal. He refuses to release it himself like Radiohead did with 2007 album In Rainbows, telling Pitchfork, “I don’t have any need to be innovative in that way. I am still stuck in the dream of an album that sells well not because of marketing but because people like the songs. Once is becomes public that you aren’t signed, you assume that anyone who wants you will come get you.”

Morrissey attributes his establishment as one of the reasons he isn’t signed: “I think labels for the most part want to sign new discoveries so that that label alone is seen to be responsible for the rise of the artist. Not many labels want bands who have already made their mark, because their success is usually attributed to some other label somewhere else at another time.”

Each night The Late Nite Comedy Show will take place in the comedy tent, opening its doors at 11pm and staying open until 2am. Performing at the festival are some veterans of the comedy circuit, as well as a great selection of rising stars.

One of the most sought-after acts in the UK, Stewart Lee will be performing on Saturday night (July 2nd). Famous for co-writing and directing Jerry Springer – The Opera, Lee is highly regarded for his quick-witted, observational humour and amusing interplay with the audience, and routines that for its duration builds up to a hilarious climax rarely matched by his contemporarys. Lee is often told he resembles Morrissey – something he has capitalised upon on his website which states: “Hop Farm Festival at about 2am. Iggy Pop is opening for me.” – a reference to Iggy and the Stooges occupying the slot on the main stage before Morrissey headlines.

Sean Hughes is another of Britain’s comedy veterans. Famous for his dark, often cleverly sarcastic and wry humour, Hughes began his career in 1987 and became the youngest winner of The Perrier Award, and from 1996 to 2002 was a team captain on Never Mind The Buzzcocks.

Simon Munnery is a satirical, often political comedian highly praised for his performances that often border on surreal. He often appears with homemade clothes, “dramatic” facial hair and a hat made from a kettle, ensuring a truly memorable and hilarious set.

Other acts set to appear in the comedy tent include Isy Suttie, Terry Alderton, Carl Donnelly, Abandonman and Nick Revell.

Friday, July 1st, sees a headline set from Eagles, famous for their classic song Hotel California. Supporting the American rock legends will be Death Cab for Cutie, Brandon Flowers and Bryan Ferry. In the Big Tent, The Human League are to headline, with support coming from artists including The Duke Spirit, The Walkmen and Ocean Colour Scene. Stornoway headline the Bread & Roses stage.

On Saturday, July 2nd, Morrissey will headline the main stage, a week after his Glastonbury show supporting U2. Also appearing on the main stage are Patti Smith, Lou Reed and Iggy & The Stooges. The Big Tent is headlined by Manu Chao La Ventura, supported by Graham Coxon, Gang of Four and Noisettes. Guillemots are top of the bill on the Bread & Roses stage, with Carl Barat also making an appearance.

Sunday July 3rd will see a two and a half hour headline set from pop legend Prince to close the event, in his first ever UK festival appearance. Larry Graham and Tinie Tempah will support. In the Big Tent, The Go! Team and The Pierces provide support for a Hot Chip DJ set. Young Knives headline the Bread & Roses set.

Prince will headline the final day (July 3rd) at the festival in Kent. It will be his first ever UK festival appearance. Vince Power, Hop Farm organiser, said, “I’m thrilled to have Prince closing the festival this year, fans will be treated to an amazing set.” The other headliners at the festival are The Eagles and Morrissey.

Prince made headlines recently when he said he “can’t stand” digital music: “When you play it back, you can’t feel anything. We’re analogue people, not digital.” Regardless of his views on music format, the singer, who has had ten platinum albums, is sure to put on an incredible set when he headlines Hop Farm.

Organiser Michael Eavis told The Sun that he approached Morrissey after West had already turned the position down. Eavis said: “We were hoping to get Kanye West but he’s doing other stuff so we gave Morrissey a ring. He wasn’t bothered last time we asked him but he was very keen this year. It was a last-minute thing and tickets had already been sold before anyone knew anything about him so it was a nice little extra for us. I just hope he enjoys it as you never expect him to be wildly happy do you?”

Morrissey will appear before headliners U2 on the Pyramid Stage tonight (June 24th). Meanwhile, Radiohead are to play a surprise set on The Park Stage at 8pm.

In an interview with The Guardian, the singer said, “I personally can’t stand digital music. You’re getting sound in bits. It affects a different place in your brain. When you play it back, you can’t feel anything. We’re analogue people, not digital.” His last album, 20Ten was released in 2010 but was not made available for digital download, although copies were soon illegally distributed. At the time he told the Daily Mirror, “The internet’s completely over. I don’t see why I should give my new music to iTunes or anyone else.” As an alternative, he released the album for free via publications in the UK, France, Germany and Belgium.

The singer, who has had ten platinum albums, will headline the Hop Farm Festival on July 3rd, after turning down Michael Eavis’ request to play Glastonbury.

Beyonce’s record company Columbia raised concerns that her new album ’4′ didn’t have her usual number of hit songs on it and even requested she make alterations – which she refused to do.

It is rumoured that Columbia feel ‘Beyonce’s career has stalled a bit’ and that ‘Columbia seems to think they can get some mileage out of a comeback record with all of the girls.’ However Kelly Rowland  (who has been successful as a solo artists too, picking up two grammy awards, her recent single ‘Motivation’ featuring Lil’wayne reached the top spot of the Hot R7B/Hip Hop charts and she has just joined the judging panel on the eighth series of X Factor UK) is not keen to reunited the band.

Morrissey started his UK tour on Wednesday and premiered three brand new tracks.

Morrissey played three tracks off his forthcoming album, he played ‘Action Is My Middle Name’, ‘The Kid’s A Looker’ and ‘People Are The Same Everywhere’. He also treated fans to some Smiths songs and did a cover of Lou Reed’s classic ‘Satellite Of Love’.

Morrissey has 18 dates remaining on his tour and all venues have been asked to remove meat from the menu on the nights that he is performing. He also plays Glastonbury and Hop Farm festivals this summer, perhaps he’ll take a pack lunch to these.

The UK Rapper will be perform before headliner Prince at Hop Farm Festival in July.  Our Brit urban star is currently in the states his music, Written In The Stars reached number 12 in the American Billboard singles chart.

Prince has currently only confirmed the one date in the UK, Tinie Tempah Tickets and Hop Farm Festival tickets are on sale now.

Prince has not appeared in the UK for over 4 years, since his 2007 tour which included a 21-night residency at London’s O2 Arena.

The tour will now start May 21 in Aarhus, Denmark. The two dates that have been newly cancelled are in Tel Aviv, Israel and Bucharest, Romania.

Ferry was last week admitted to hospital, apparently as ‘seriously ill’. He was released the following day and his management said his visit was just ‘routine tests’.

Ferry’s publicist had recently insisted that the singer’s tour would go on as planned but it has now been announced that five of the six April dates have been postponed.

Fans will hope he recovers in time for his U.K dates which include a slot at Hop Farm festival.

“I’ve got quite a few songs where, a lot people will agree with me, my vocal wasn’t quite hitting the mark,” he said, adding, “I like the idea of women giving it their take. Especially someone like Paloma who can really improvise and put her own stamp on things and do all the sassy stuff.”

The Lust For Life singer and car insurance salesman, who performed (as he usually does) shirtless on the contest last week, admits he has become a fan of the programme over the years and he did consider the possibility of offering his opinion on the show.

He says, “It didn’t go very far. There were two phone calls… I wasn’t sure I was interested or available. They called me… I was curious and we spoke a couple times, and that was as far as that went.”

Pop insists he would have been the wrong man for the job – and Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler was a much better pick: “I don’t think I could’ve done the right job for them on that particular show. I think Steven does a really, really good job of it.”

Van Morrison recently topped the Friday night bill at Hop Farm Festival, where he pleased the crowd with hits such as Brown Eyed Girl, Gloria and Domino.

Hard Rock Calling tickets have been falling in price in recent weeks, with tickets to see Paul McCartney on the final day of the festival, Sunday 27th June, now trading from £32. In fact, it is cheaper to buy Paul McCartney tickets for his Hard Rock Calling performance than to buy tickets for any of his scheduled stadium shows. Perhaps a festival aimed more at the younger generation of festival goers, the Reading and Leeds festival boasts a huge line-up that can surely compete with that of Glastonbury. Blink 182, The Libertines, Guns N’ Roses, Arcade Fire, Dizzee Rascal and Cypress Hill will all be appearing on the main stage throughout the weekend.

Expect to pay around £230 on the secondary ticket market for a weekend ticket with camping to either Reading or Leeds. Considering the face value price was around £190 when the tickets went on sale a few months ago, it is well worth spending the extra few pounds to take advantage of the fantastic line-up.

The tour is to coincide with the release of the Editors’ third album release titled In This Light And On This Evening, expected to be released in September.

Previous albums released by Editors are The Back Room, which earned them a Music Prize nomination in 2006, and the number one album An End Has A Start.

Frontman of Editors Tom Smith described the musical direction for the new album to be raw and rougher.

Tom Smith said that he wants to try and capture the kind of power and ferocious element that the band appear to have when performing live on stage but has yet to surface on recorded material.

Guitarist Christopher Urbanowicz also claims that the theme tune to the Arnold Schwarzenegger film Terminator has had an influence on the guitar riffs he has written.

Before their headline tour, Editors will be the first band to play at the Birmingham O2 Academy on September 10.

Dates for the Editors tour include the Edinburgh Picture House (October 12), Manchester Academy (October 16), and London Hammersmith Apollo (October 21) before drawing the tour to a close at the Southhampton Guildhall (October 26).

The second album from Simian Mobile Disco is called Temporary Pleasure and is due for release on August 17.
