This year’s Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball will take place at London’s O2 Arena on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th December.

GaGa is tipped to appear on the results episode on Sunday, November 13, whilst Florence and the Machine are set to appear on this week’s show, following the release of their new album, Ceremonials.

The UK act will be joined by X Factor stars JLS in performing on the results show, whilst US star Lady GaGa is rumoured to be joining One Direction in two weeks time.

The US singer is also rumoured to be set to confirm her long-awaited World Tour plans leading up to the appearance.

Lady GaGa tickets could be set to go on sale in the coming weeks.

The US star will join the previously announced Olly Murs, The Wanted, Pixie Lott, Jason Derulo, Calvin Harris and Labrinth.

The show will mark Rihanna’s eleventh appearance at London’s O2 Arena this year.

In previous years, the Jingle Bell Ball has featured performances from the likes of JLS, The Saturdays and the Black Eyed Peas.

A source told The Mirror, “Pulling out of this weekend’s gig is the final curtain call for them – especially as they’re all such huge Jacko fans.

“Things have been taking a turn for the worse over the past few months but this signals the end.”

The band have sold over 56million albums worldwide since their debut in 2003.

He attacked fans who have said Michael Jackson’s mother, Katherine, is greedy for supporting the concert, using his Twitter account. Starting this morning, he posted a series of messages on the social network, some of which are shown below:

“I learned the concept of fans from my uncle [Michael]. Sorry, you cannot call yourself a fan & attack MJ’s mother or kids. That is not a fan.”

“A fan can disagree and not like something, but being hateful is not a fan of MJ. It goes against everything he stood for.”

“Now I read comments like crazy Katherine or Greedy Katherine. or $$$$ Katherine. It is so disappointing.”

Whilst some fans supported his comments, some vehemently disagreed, as Taj is expected to receive payment for appearing at the concert with his brothers Taryll and Tito Joseph Jackson. The Michael Forever Tribute Concert will take place on October 8th at Cardiff’s Millenium Stadium, and will feature artists including Christina Aguilera, Leona Lewis and JLS.

She complained that the event is at the same time as the trial of the doctor who is accused of involuntary manslaughter by administering a lethal overdose on Michael Jackson, and thus she will not be playing. She has previously said, “Because of the trial, the timing of this tribute to our brother would be too difficult for me.”

The news comes after Kiss were removed from the bill as Gene Simmons has previously made some negative remarks against Michael Jackson. However, already included on the line up are acts such as JLS, Leona Lewis and Christina Aguilera.

Although organisers say around 26,000 tickets were taken up in the registration period, and despite tickets going on general sale yesterday morning, there are still plenty of tickets remaining. The concert, which takes place at Cardiff’s Millenium Stadium, will feature performances from an incredible line-up of stars, including Christina Aguilera, Leona Lewis, Smokey Robinson, Cee Lo Green, JLS, Alien Ant Farm, Alexandra Burke and Pixie Lott. It was announced this week that Beyonce will appear via live videolink to perform one of her favourite Jackson 5 songs.

The letter is lead by the largest online Jackson forum, MJJCommunity, but has the support of 35 other fan forums. They cite reasons such as adding Kiss to the bill and quickly removing them due to lead singer Gene Simmons calling Jackson a child-molester, and the fact that the concert is due to take place at the same time as the trial of Jackson’s former doctor Conrad Murray for the manslaughter of the singer.

An excerpt from the statement says: “We, as Michael Jackon’s staunch supporters and advocates, refuse to support the Michael Jackson Forever Tribute, planned by Global Live Events in October, 2011. Even with the withdrawal of your most recent performer, Gene Simmons/Kiss, fans feel the damage has already been done. Your apology is too little, too late, and does not solve the problems we have with this tribute.”

It continues: “From the timing of this tribute, in the middle of Dr. Murray’s trial, to the ticketing prices, to the obscurity over what charities will be receiving the donation, to the no-guarantee policy of performers, the addition of Gene Simmons and dishonoring, thus tarnishing Michael Jackson’s legacy was simply the last straw. With the damage done, it will be the fans who work hard to overcome this debacle for Michael Jackson’s legacy.”

The line-up for the concert currently includes Christina Aguilera, JLS, Leona Lewis and Cee Lo Green, and is set to take place in Cardiff on October 8th.

Although no dates have been officially confirmed, it is known that the singer will perform at the Cardiff Motorpoint Arena on February 1st. The rest of the gigs are believed to surround the Cardiff show, in January and February. Olly Murs tickets will go on sale on August 26th.

A letter has been sent by his estate to Global Live Events, who are organising the concert at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium, which accuses them of “piggybacking” Jackson’s good name and questions the amount of revenue which will go to charity.

The letter also condemns the booking of Kiss for the show, as Gene Simmons has previously stated how he believes Michael Jackson was a paedophile. The letter stated,

“We were especially disappointed with the announcement that the band Kiss and bassist Gene Simmons were added as one of the acts to perform. Mr Simmons has made disparaging public remarks about Michael Jackson after his passing .”

The letter also contended that Global Live Events will be held to account for their actions and that they could face a legal battle. The news comes after a number of top acts were booked, including Christina Aguilera and JLS.

Now their new single from the record, Promises, is in a very tightly run race for the number one spot in the UK along with JLS and their new hit She Makes Me Wanna. Singer Max George made fun of the JLS boys’ drinking habits, while One Direction came under fire for their roots in reality TV.

“JLS say they can drink, but they can’t,” said George.

“Give them four glasses of champagne and all they do is take their tops off and start prancing around having a dance-off. It’s true.”

That would probably delight the majority of fans of Aston Merrygold, Marvin Humes, Oritse Williams and JB Gill, but fans of One Direction would likely be less pleased with George’s comments about them.

“We are glad we are not an X Factor band. One Direction, where are they now?”

“It’s nice that we are a band who started with nothing. The X Factor is just for that moment and we did not want to be trapped.”

Given that George is a former X Factor contestant himself with Avenue, his words may come as something as a surprise.

The popstars were due to headline the one-day festival in Weston Super Mare, but pulled out after being unable to complete their soundcheck. In a statement provided by their management, it was was revealed:

“JLS flew in for T4otb and arrived on site at Weston Super Mare at 7.30am for a soundcheck and camera rehearsal. The soundcheck was continually pushed back… As a result of not being allowed to soundcheck and rehearse JLS cannot perform their set which had been created especially for T4. JLS are gutted they are unable to perform on stage today and are sorry to fans who have travelled to see them but this situation was out of their control.”

Hard-Fi were one of the bands that did make it, and were an absolute hit with fans. They release their third album, Killer Sounds, in August, and embark on a UK tour in September.

In a message to fans on his Youtube account (watch below), the singer announced the single would be called Heart Skips A Beat and will be released on August 21st. It will feature on his second album, the follow up to 2010 debut album, Olly Murs, which reached number two on the UK albums chart.

Murs is currently touring with JLS, and later will perform at Kempton Park Racecourse on August 12th, and with Alexandra Burke at Castle Howard, York on August 14th.

The new single, She Makes Me Wanna, is released officially on July 24th, but today the band showcased the song on Youtube. The video comes as the band are part way through a UK tour. On Thursday (July 7th) the boyband will perform in Newcastle, before moving to Milton Keynes on July 8th and performing at V Festival this weekend.

The quartet said it would be a dream come true to perform at the Olympics. The singers, whose latest album Outta This World went double platinum in the UK, were speaking with just over a year before the sports competition starts. Member JB Gill said, “We love our sport and playing there is top of the agenda for next year. We haven’t been approached yet but I think once the organisers get through this year, they’ll start doing organisation for the actual thing. I’m saying like I’m on the committee – I’m not! But we’d love to be involved in it. Obviously that and with the royal wedding just gone, it’s a great sense of Britishness.”

Alton Towers theme park opens its doors for some music adrenalin.

The theme park which usually plays host to some of the best adrenalin fueled rides are now playing host to some of the best bands in a special one day festival.

Confirmed for the day are The Saturdays, Eliza Doolittle, Charlotte O’Connor, McFly and headlining JLS.

Jennifer Lopez and husband are taking part in ¡Q’VIVA! THE CHOSEN, a live talent show celebrating Latin music, artistry and dance.

The husband and wife team will visit 21 countries meticulously reviewing talent. In partnership with American Idol creator Simon Fuller, Lopez invites the Latin American community to join in with the show.

The Latino songstress is performing once this year at the Capital FM Summertime Ball. The official count down to Capital Fm Summertime Ball has begun with only five days left until the event.

Speaking to BANG Showbiz, the star said, ‘We are in talks to collaborate with Rihanna. Let’s see what happens there. We hope so.’

The singer also revealed that the band have got their eyes on other possible collaborations.

‘We haven’t actually collaborated with a solo female artist apart from Kylie Minogue.

‘Nicole Scherzinger would be amazing. We should give it a try.

‘I’m a huge fan of Adele, I’d absolutely love to collaborate with Adele. That would be absolutely amazing. Also Jessie J. That would be very, very incredible.’
