The hot new “it” couple James Righton from the Klaxons joined his Hollywood starlet girlfriend Keira Knightley on the set of her new movie this week.

The couple were introduced by the other cool ‘it’ couple Alexa Chung and her boyfriend Arctic Monkeys Alex Turner.

Knightley is currently shooting  ’Seeking A Friend’ co-starring Steve Carell. While Righton, is preparing to headline at the Relentless Boardmasters event. The Klaxons cancelled their spring US tour siting ‘unforeseen circumstances’ …… let’s hope it wasn’ the result of loves new young dream!

The band, who recently cancelled their US tour, are set for a few scattered festival slots this summer, but Reynolds will apparently be filling his time behind the camera, documenting Ant‘s first tour in 25 years.

Reynolds told The Daily Star: “The Adam Ant project is my first step into the film business. I’ve got no experience of making films but I really wanted to get involved in it and I may do more. I’m helping produce it and will get more involved as it nears completion. Adam is sounding great. I hadn’t seen him perform until last week when he announced his first tour and he’s back on form.”

Ant told the tabloid that Reynolds has also invested in the documentary.

This year’s festival took place last weekend and featured headline performances from Guns N Roses, Arcade Fire and Blink 182 as well as appearances across the weekend from the likes of The Libertines, Biffy Clyro, Pendulum, Klaxons, Paramore and Limp Bizkit.

Although the line-up will not be announced until next year, the festival is again set to be a massive hit with fans.

The band spent two years working on their latest offering, after winning the Mercury Music Prize in 2007 for their debut album, Myths Of The Near Future. Klaxons are set for a busy week, as they will be headlining the Radio1/NME stage at Reading and Leeds festival this weekend as well as the London gig.

Klaxons tickets are still available for the band’s Heaven show this week, with prices starting at £28 on ticket exchange websites Viagogo, eBay and Seatwave. All tickets for the event are general admission.

Klaxons had not released any form of material in over two years after the success of their debut album Gravity’s Rainbow, and were forced to scrap their original recordings for their latest album as many of the tracks were considered by their record company as too experimental. The new offering is said to be a more fitting follow-up to their first LP.

General admission tickets are currently trading from £32 and although officially sold out from primary vendors, they are available from trusted fan-to-fan ticket exchange websites such as Viagogo, Seatwave, GetMeIn and eBay.

Klaxons will release their long-awaited album, Surfing The Void, in late August, and fans will have high expectations after the success of their debut LP Gravity’s Rainbow.

Ticket prices for the Heaven show start at £15 and are available from Ticketmaster and Eventim.

The album, the band’s second studio record, will be released on August 23rd. The band will also be playing at Reading and Leeds Festivals, where they will be headlining the Radio1/NME Stage.

Klaxons tickets will go on sale next Friday, August 13th. Reading and Leeds Festival tickets are still available from fan-to-fan ticket exchange websites such as Viagogo, Seatwave and GetMeIn, with weekend ticket prices starting at £210.

The cheapest Reading Festival weekend tickets are listed on Seatwave, and are priced at £227. There are currently 104 Leeds weekend tickets available below that price.

The Reading and Leeds Festival takes place from Friday 27th August to Sunday 29th August and will host headline acts such as Arcade Fire, Guns N’ Roses and Blink 182. There will also be appearances across the weekend from the likes of The Libertines, Biffy Clyro, Dizzee Rascal, Pendulum, Cypress Hill, Limp Bizkit, Klaxons, We Are Scientists and The Cribs.

Klaxons tickets will be available this Thurday (May 27th) from 9am.

Last night, The Klaxons streamed online what is to be their first single for two years, entitled Flashover. The band will also be performing at this year’s Reading and Leeds Festivals, where they will be headlining the Radio 1/NME stage, and tickets are available here at Tixdaq.com.

A host of top acts including Klaxons, Elbow, Lily Allen and Massive Attack are currently preparing for this weekend’s Bestival. The festival takes place at Robin Hill on the Isle of Wight and is set to kick off this Friday.

The 2009 Bestival sold out at the box office within days of going on sale. However, tickets remain available to compare at Tixdaq.com. Adult weekend camping tickets have been selling for as much as £285, but similar tickets are now available online for as little as £120. These cut price Bestival tickets are expected to sell fast. Fans have only a few days to snap them up and attend what is set to be one of the greatest Bestivals to date.

Other acts on the 2009 Bestival line-up include Kraftwerk, Soulwax, MGMT, Bat for Lashes and Fleet Foxes.

Hundreds of Bestival tickets are available at Tixdaq, but they will not be around for long.

As well as DJ performances from the band, the night will also feature a debut live performance from Welsh band, The Infamous.

The Horrors have had a successful 2009 following a series of sold out concerts as well as a Mercury Music Prize nomination for their latest album, Primary Colours.

Horrors fans still have a chance to see the band live in concert this year as the band bring their summer to a close with shows at Reading and Leeds Festival. The 2009 Reading and Leeds Festival is set to take place on August  and will include performances from the likes of Arctic Monkeys, The Prodigy, Kings of Leon and Radiohead. Blur have not written songs together since recording their last album Think Tank which was released in May 2003.

However, Blur bassist Alex James has admitted that he, frontman Damon Albarn and guitarist Graham Coxon have been experimenting with new ideas during rehearsals.

Graham Coxon adds that the band have not tried to play completely new songs yet and would not be performing new songs on tour, because more time would need to be spent on them to do the music justice.

The band do not want to put pressure on themselves by performing new material and want to just focus on having fun.

Meanwhile, Jamie Reynolds from the Klaxons has revealed that their eagerly anticipated second album will not be released until 2010.

The last album released by the Klaxons was Myths Of The Near Future from January 2007.

Jamie Reynolds says that they are yet to find a producer to work on the 28 songs the Klaxons have already written, but are happy not to rush the process.

The Klaxons have stopped working with producer Tony Visconti, who helped out earlier in the album making process, and a replacement has not yet been appointed.

Klaxons might preview some of their new material in the upcoming shows they have in the UK.

In fact, Klaxons and Blur will be playing the Manchester Evening News Arena on June 26.

Klaxons will also play Bestival 2009 at the Robin Hill Adventure Park, Isle of Wight which takes place from September 11-13.

Blur will play at London Hyde Park on July 2 & 3 as well as T In The Park at the Kinross Balado Airfield, taking place from July 10-12.

The expected tour would following on from Radiohead’s 2008 In Rainbows tour which culminated in a showpiece concert at London’s Hyde park.

O’Brien was speaking at the first meeting of the Featured Artists’ Coalition in London. The newly formed music industry lobby of musicians who are attempting to establish a more prominent voice in the future of the music industry.

The FAC has claimed it will fight to ensure that the interests of artists and fans are not compromised by deals brokered between multi-national corporations which only serve corporations self interest. To this end it is asking for transparency from the industry in exchange for cooperation towards renewal and growth.

Artist joing Radiohead in the Featured Artist Coalition inlcude Billy Bragg, Boilerhouse Boys, Chrissie Hynde, Craig David, David Gilmour, Gang of Four, Iron Maiden, Jazzie B, Jools Holland, Kaiser Chiefs, Kate Nash, Klaxons, Richard Ashcroft, Robbie Williams, Sia Furler, Soul II Soul, Stephen Duffy, The Cribs, The Verve, Travis, Wet Wet Wet and White Lies.

Also due to appear at this years event are The Ting Tings, Moby, Motorhead, Santana, and The Charlatans. While other acts include; Thievery Corporation, Patrice, Ayo,The Faint, Manowar and Holyhell.

B’estfest which represents the highlight of the Romanian music calendar will take place across two outdoor stages and one indoor Arena.

UK fans will have the opportunity to catch Orbital and Motorhead in the coming months with the tickets available from £23 and £25 respectively.

Orbital will be making a handful of appearances  on this June at Brighton Dome (June 10) and O2 Academy Leeds (June 11). Orbital will set out on tour this coming September with shows at Manchester Academy (September 18 & 19), O2 Academy Newcastle (September 21) and O2 Academy Sheffield (September 23). The Orbital tour will come to an end with two dates at the O2 Academy Brixton (September 24 and 25).

With tickets costing £10 on the door and sold on a first come first serve basis, fans queued down the street to see the four-piece play a variety of both old and new songs.

Much of the new songs seemed to boast a rockier edge than those on the band’s debut album, ‘Myths Of The Near Future’. However while showcasing an edgier, guitar-driven sound, the bands new tracks still contained elements of Klaxons trademark melodic choruses and harmony-driven hooks.

Klaxons are rumoured to be announcing details of further intimate London gigs this February.
