Coldplay’s Chris Martin and Jonny Buckland confirmed for Little Noise Sessions

Chris Martin and Jonny Buckland from Coldplay have been confirmed to perform a Little Noise Sessions show in London. The pair are the last headline act to be named, and will perform at St John’s Church on 24th November. The news comes after the band recently topped the UK album chart with their latest album, Mylo Xyloto.

Elbow, Example, Marina and the Diamonds and Sinead O’Connor will also headline shows at the venue this November, with the full line-up now complete

The series of concerts, now in it’s sixth year, will be held in aid of Mencap.

Little Noise Sessions tickets for the Chris Martin and Jonny Buckland show will go on sale this Friday at 9am, tickets to all other shows are on sale now.

Elbow, Example, Goldfrapp confirmed for Little Noise Sessions line-up

The line-up for this year’s Little Noise Sessions shows has been confirmed. Elbow, Example, Marina and the Diamonds and Sinead O’Connor will all headline shows at St John’s Church in London this November, with one headline act still to be confirmed.

The concerts will be held in aid of Mencap, with the series now in it’s sixth year.

Little Noise Sessions tickets will go on general sale on Monday 10th October, with presale tickets available from Friday 7th.

Isle of Wight 2010 line-up now complete

The last remaining acts for this year’s Isle of Wight festival have now been announced. Added to the bill for this summer’s festival are The Big Pink, Bombay Bicycle Club, Semi Precious Weapons, Local Natives, The Members, Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel, Detroit Social Club and O.A.R.

The festival takes place at Seaclose Park, Newport from the 11th to 13th of June, and this year’s line-up looks to be one of the best yet. Headliners Jay-Z, The Strokes and the legendary Paul McCartney will be joined by a host of huge names such as Florence and the Machine, Editors, Paloma Faith, La Roux, Marina and the Diamonds, Blondie, Pink, Orbital, James, Biffy Clyro, Spandau Ballet, The Courteeners, The Saturdays, Daisy Dares You, Noah & The Whale and more.

Isle of Wight festival 2010 tickets are on sale now and there are plenty of day tickets and weekend tickets still available.

Marina & The Diamonds confirms US album release

Following the success of her album in the UK, Marina & The Diamonds has confirmed the release date for the her album in the US as May 25th. Marina’s first record, The Family Jewels, reached number 5 in the UK charts last month after the artist finished second in the BBC’s Sound of 2010 poll. She has now been tipped to reach similar heights overseas.

Marina is set to tour the UK this May and tickets are still available for dates set in London, Glasgow and Birmingham amongst others.

Marina & the Diamonds top NME chart

Marina & the Diamonds have reached the top of the NME charts for the fourth week in a row. The group’s breathrough song ‘Hollywood’ remains ahead of Muse’s ‘The Resistance’ while ‘Many of Horror’ (which Marina collaborated on with Biffy Clyro) is up to number three.

Marina & the Diamonds are set to tour the UK throughout May. The Marina & the Diamonds spring tour kicks off at Birmingham’s Glee Club on May 12, and includes visits to London, Manchester and Belfast. Marina & The Diamonds are in fact a one woman band, but it is easy to see where Marina Diamandis found the inspiration for her name. Her catchy tune Hollywood has come out on top of the NME Chart for the third week in a row, and has already gained a spot in the national chart top twenty. BRIT Award for Ellie Goulding

Ellie Goulding received the Critics Choice award at the BRIT Awards last night. She was presented with the award by Courtney Love, who praised the newcomer’s talent. Goulding beat the likes of Delphic and Marina & the Diamonds to the award, which last year was won by Florence & the Machine.

‘Well this is mental,’ the Hereford-born star said. ‘I just wanna say thank you so much to the critics who gave me this award.’

Ellie Goulding fans will be pleased to hear she will be touring the UK from March. Celebrating the release of her debut album ‘Lights’ on March 1, the Ellie Goulding spring tour includes visits to a number of top UK venues including the Manchester Academy and the O2 Academy in Birmingham.

Camden Crawl kicks off festival season

Camden Crawl returns this weekend to kick off the UK music festival season.

The indie music festival which will be take place this Friday and Saturday (April 24 and 25), has expanded each year since its inception in 2006 to become a distinct highlight on the London music calender.

Friday nights headliners Yeah Yeah Yeahs will be performing in Camden as part of their tour supporting new album It’s Blitz! also headling this weekend will be The Enemy, Kasabian and Echo and the Bunnymen.

Just behind the lustre of the headliners, plenty of breaking acts will have their chance to win over a festival crowd for the first time. Frankmusik (Saturday only); BBC Sound Of 2009 winner Little Boots (Saturday only); Sheffield-via-Jamaica dancehall masher Toddla-T (Saturday only); DJ crossovers Filthy Dukes (Friday only) and Jools Holland favourite VV Brown will all be hoping to open their Camden Crawl accounts with a bang.

In the true spirit of Camden Crawl festival goers will have plenty of opportunities to enjoy hottly tips indie and unsigned acts such as Marina And The Diamonds, Alessi’s Ark and the splendidly named Ou Est Le Swimming Pool.

Stalwarts of the indie scene will also be in attendance. Scottish rocker’s The View (Saturday only), will be joined by Brighton boys Brakes (Friday only) and Idlewild (Friday only). Recent additions to the bill Kasabian and The Enemy both have new albums to promote. Meanwhile dance fans will have their ears full with Count & Sinden and Datarock.

Echo & The Bunnymen, Golden Silvers and Little Boots commit to Camden Crawl

It has been confirmed that veteran rockers Echo And The Bunnymen will perform at this years Camden Crawl Festival in London.

They shall be joined by Idlewild,Little Boots and Golden Silvers who have all just been added to this years line-up.

Due to take place over two days (April 24 & 25) within 140 venues the Camden Crawl festival will see over 150 new artists perform. These acts will include the likes of Kitty Daisy & Lewis, Mumford and Sons Ipso Facto, Fight Like Apes, Joy Formidable and VV brown.
