The singer-songwriter is due to begin his first ever solo tour this week, and recently released his first record since his former band Oasis split in 2009.

The band have confirmed that they will be performing songs from their debut album at all upcoming live shows, as well as a selection of Noel Gallagher classics.

The former Oasis members have not spoken since the band’s split in 2009, and have now gone their separate ways in the music world. Speaking to Grantland, Noel revealed:

“We never hung out together outside of the band, ever. Now, of course, at some point I’m going to have to sit in a f**king room with Liam again. Hopefully time will heal some of these wounds.”

In an interview with BBC 6 Music, Liam commented, “Maybe down the line, in the third album we might throw some in there just for the crack.” Recently Noel Gallagher has remarked that he will also play some Oasis tracks on his tour of the UK. Speaking to BBC 6 Music, the former Oasis front man responded to a question of when Beady Eye will next be in the studio, “February or the end of January we will be in (the studio) doing our album. We’ve got enough material for another record and that is what we shall do, whether people like it or not.”

These rather robust sentiments are not atypical of Liam Gallagher, and recently he has been embroiled in a lawsuit with his brother Noel over allegations Liam did not play V Festival because he was hungover. The former Oasis guitarist will bring his new solo outfit to his home city on October 26th. This announcement joins dates in Dublin, Edinburgh and London. The project was first revealed in July, and official tickets for the first three gigs sold out in four minutes, although plenty are available on the resale market. The derogatory twist on the name for Noel’s solo project, High Flying Birds, came during an interview with Q Magazine, and is the latest episode in the ongoing dispute between the two ex-Oasis brothers. He said we had a year to come up with a band name and came up with Beady Eye. He had three [years] and came up with the High Flying Turds. I don’t know who dressed him but he looks like something out of Westlife.”

Now this confrontation may reach its climax as Liam Gallagher has announced he is suing his brother Noel over comments he made about the end of Oasis. It seems Liam is furious with Noel’s previous allegations that the band cancelled their performance at V Festival because Liam had a hangover and the direct cause of the band’s split was over a clothing row.

Liam released a statement to the Sun stating, “I have taken legal action against Noel Gallagher for statements he made claiming Oasis pulled out of the 2009 V Festival Chelmsford gig because I had a hangover. That is a lie and I want Oasis fans and others who were at V to know the truth. I was gutted when I couldn’t play the gig because I didn’t want to let the fans down.”

Noel is sure to hit back at these comments and the situation is likely to get a lot worse before it gets better. Meanwhile, Liam’s new band Beady Eye will be performing at this year’s Reading and Leeds Festivals.

In an interview with XFM Gallagher told that the name ‘High Flying Birds’ was inspired by the Jefferson Airplane track ‘High Flying Bird’, and that he was also heavily influenced by legendary American rock group Fleetweeod Mac.

Gallagher told of the name, “That name ['High Flying Bird'] jumped out. I had a bit of a eureka moment, so I wrote it down. I thought, that looks really cool. I doesn’t mean anything, you know?” Noel Gallagher will be touring the UK in support of his new record and has already announced shows at Dublin, Edinburgh and London this October.

He commented during a recent interview with Mojo Magazine, “Some were written on the last [Oasis] tour, when I used to feel them out by getting my acoustic guitar and strumming them after soundcheck, because you sound like Jesus in a big arena.”

“Turns out some kids have been taping the soundchecks on mobile phones and posting them up on the internet. I haven’t got a computer and I’m completely oblivious to it all, so I check it out and there are kids on YouTube finishing them off! I’m thinking, ‘They’re covering my songs before I’ve written them? The sound quality of If I Had a Gun is quite poor but it sounds like the makings of an amazing song.

The rivalry was always there in Oasis but it was brought to a climax before a show in Paris and a backstage incident which drove Noel out of the band for good. Now Noel has commenced his solo career but the sibling war is not at an end.

In a recent interview with MTV Canada, Liam spoke out, “I’m just disappointed for him, and his fans…. I have my days [bad days] but Noel Gallagher can be a little b*tch when he wants to be.”

Liam went on to comment on the break up of the band, “I just know he lies. Noel wasn’t bullied out of the band.”

Noel will be releasing his solo album on October 17th, while Liam will be playing this year’s Reading and Leeds Festivals with his band Beady Eye.

Robbie put a video on his blog of Noel Gallagher’s new single The Death of You and Me and posted, ‘I know it’s pretty redundant, but I’d love to write with him.” This is rather surprising considering their very confrontational relationship which came to its peak in the mid 90s.

As of yet Noel has not commented on Robbie’s blog, although any partnership would be unlikely. At the moment, Noel Gallagher is preparing for his solo tour this Autumn and his new album will be released on October 17th.

The single is called The Death of You and Me and the video sees an epic wild west story unfolding. The new sound which Noel Gallagher has produced certainly has a country feel to it but with the standard catchy chorus we have come to expect from Noel’s songwriting.

The album will be out on October 17th and Noel has promised to follow it up with a tour, although as yet no dates and venues have been confirmed.

The single is entitled The Death of You and Me and the video for the new single was directed by Mike Bruce. The trailer for the video shows it to be set in a desert town in America and has very much a cowboy theme to it.

The single, called The Death Of You and Me will be released digitally with the single’s video and B-side The Good Rebel. The CD version of the single and 7″ will be released a day later.

Gallagher will release the single under the name, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds. Writing on his website he said: “My manager asked me who the High Flying Birds are. They aren’t anyone in particular. Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds is me and whoever else is around at the time of whatever it is that I’m doing, a loose collective kinda thing.”

Noel is to embark on a UK tour in October, with the only date announced so far a show in Dublin on October 23rd. He has also said he will play in Manchester, London and Glasgow.

The album is set for release in the UK on the 24th October and is as yet untitled. The interesting news is that the album will come out a week after Noel Gallagher’s solo album is out (17th October) and so there will inevitably be a battle for the top spot.

Who will win is very much as yet uncertain but the week in October will see the release of two of 2011′s most anticipated albums.

Coldplay will aslo be playing at London’s ITunes festival on July 22nd.

Speaking to BBC Radio 1, Liam said of his brother: “In my opinion – he’s a control freak. He’s making up lies to get brownie points. It’s time he woke up. He’s no angel. I’m partly to blame but I’m not solely to blame. It’s breaking my heart. People need to know that it wasn’t just me who split the band up, it was Noel too.”

Liam’s new band Beady Eye, played T In The Park this weekend, and are set to play Reading and Leeds Festivals at the end of the summer.

Speaking at a press conference to announce his new solo project, he told the press that he would begin his tour the week after the album is released. The debut, also to be titled Noel Gallagher And The High Flying Birds, will be released on October 17th. The singer said: “We’re going to go out on tour a week after the album is out. We’re going to start off slow in small theatres. If it’s good enough to get bigger than that then it’ll get bigger than that.”

Tweets coming in from the press conference by journalists say on top of confirming the release date of his new album, Noel has also announced plans for a solo tour starting in Autumn. Even more pleasing for Oasis fans are Noel’s defiant comments that he will play Oasis songs.

He boldly stated, “I’ll never do a gig without playing them, they’re like drugs to me.” This news will surely delight those of us out there who long to relive Oasis moments and hear their back catalogue of classic British anthems live once more, even if it is without Liam.

Noel today confirmed strong rumours of his new solo record which he has made and will be released on 17th October and is called High Flying Birds. High Flying Birds is also the name of Noel’s new backing band and it seems likely that they will tour together. The announcement will surely come to the euphoric relief of fans who may have started to worry if Noel would ever write new material following the Oasis split in August 2009.

The split between Liam and Noel was very much on very poor terms, as I’m sure you are all aware, and Liam is reported to have said that Noel has used many songs intended for an Oasis album on his new solo album. Liam has claimed “When I was in America for ‘Dig Out Your Soul’ he swiped some off because because he obviously knew he wanted to do a solo album.”

Further to the first record, it has also been announced that Noel has written a second album with Amorphous Androgynous, which will be released later next year and will perhaps see a change of direction for the former Oasis member.

The internet is currently a web of rumours and tweets which all suggest that Noel will play a surprise acoustic performance at this weekend’s T in the Park. Noel is fresh out of a press conference today (July 6th) in which he announced details of the release of High Flying Birds. Certain sites hoped that the press conference would also reveal plans to play the upcoming Scottish festival but he did not confirm this today.

That being said, it seems as though bands these days, especially of the older generation, are not shying away from guest festival appearances. It is also clear that Noel has a love for T in the Park. The Oasis gig there in 1994 is reported to be one of Noel’s favourite ever Oasis gigs and he has played a surprise performance there before in 2008 when he came on stage with Paul Weller.

At the moment his appearance at T in the Park is very much just internet based conjecture, but fans still remain hopeful that Noel will play.

Noel Gallagher is to hold a press conference this Wednesday (July 6th). Many have speculated that Noel will use this press conference to announce plans of a future solo tour and or the release of a solo album.

Several internet sources have strongly hinted that the former Oasis guitarist/songwriter has been working on an album in LA. Such sources include a cameraman who tweeted “Music video for Noel Gallagher out at Club Ed. Epic camera, techno crane. Should be an interesting day.”

Noel Gallagher is tying the knot with long term girlfriend Sara MacDonald tomorrow the 18th of June. The feuding brothers have been asked by their mum to bury the hatch for the special day, but there has been no reconciliation. Liam has sited his Beady Eye tour commitments as the reason why he can’t attend but he hasn’t actually been invited.

In an interview with the Chicago Sun Times Liam said about not attending the nuptials “No, I’m busy playing gigs in Chicago. He goes on about how he wasn’t invited to my wedding. No one was at my wedding but Nic’s (wife Nicole Appleton) mum and my mum. Get over it mate.” Obviously Noel took offense to the lack of invite and in retaliation has not invited his brother to his wedding.

Liam says Oasis’s split was down to Noel’s hunger for the limelight “Noel wanted to be a solo star. I think he honestly had enough of Oasis and wasn’t getting his own way and wanted to do his own thing. He wanted to sing all his own songs and take all the glory.”

Liam doesn’t think Noel’s solo career is a match for Oasis or Beady Eye ” Oasis was the best band in the world till Beady eye. We’ll take it over. Noel can’t do it by himself” adding ” I’m sure he’ll be f**king great, but there’s a lot f***ing more lacking in a Noel Gallagher gig, a lot more missing his stuff than in ours.”

Asked if he plans to listen to Noel’s album, Liam told the Evening Standard, ‘Definitely. I want to see if it’s as good as the ones I sang on.’

Speaking on whether he thought Noel had sampled the Beady Eye album, he went on to say, ‘I’m sure he’s had a listen. I don’t think he’s got Beady Eye on his iPod and he probably doesn’t listen to it daily, but he’s a music lover and Different Gear, Still Speeding is a top-notch album.’

“When I was whatever, 14, 15. I think Super Furry Animals was one of the first gigs me and my mate bought a ticket for and you waited ages to go, you know, you went and then it’s the first time you scored the mosh pit or whatever. You know, even bought a t-shirt, and when I got home my mother said I was never the same since really, and it did change my life, man.”

The Beady Eye frontman has put his hard living rock star ways behind him ahead of his 40th birthday next year and hinted he is now seeking religious guidance in his life.

Referring to U2′s lead singer, he added: “And I’m not turning into f***ing Bono. It’s private. But I’m connected, man. To something.

Having started writing and recording in November, with Noel Gallagher rumoured to have been playing drums on one track, Weller told XFM in an interview backstage at the Japan Disaster Benefit that his new album is ready for a release.

“The album is all ready to go. Maybe this year, hopefully,” Weller said.

Weller also enthused about stretching himself on this effort. “It seems to be taking its own character this time. Sonically it’s still pushing things, but still with good melodies, and lyrically I’m trying to stretch myself. I’ve tried to make the words more impressionistic, tried to write in different ways.

“As much as I’m going to change the music, I want to be able to change the way I write words as well.”

His last two albums have been critically acclaimed by both fans and critics alike and Weller’s finger is firmly on the pulse. Weller’s only live dates this year are support slots for the Kings of Leon.

Gallagher, who launched his own clothing line ‘Pretty Green’ in 2009 inspired by bands from the 60s, has stated how unimpressed he is with Jay-Z’s Rocawear label.

“You’re going to be f*cking arrested wearing his gear and you’re going to pull a really nice-looking bird wearing mine,” Gallagher told ‘Spin’.

Gallagher continued saying that Pretty Green was ”timeless, classic clobber.”
