The former Oasis members have not spoken since the band’s split in 2009, and have now gone their separate ways in the music world. Speaking to Grantland, Noel revealed:

“We never hung out together outside of the band, ever. Now, of course, at some point I’m going to have to sit in a f**king room with Liam again. Hopefully time will heal some of these wounds.”

Noel Gallagher is set to embark on his first ever solo tour this October, and will perform shows in London, Manchester, Edinburgh and Dublin. Noel Gallagher tickets are on sale now.

The bands are touring together for the five November shows, which begin on November 11th at Blackpool’s Empress Ballroom. The Hippy Mafia are a band based in Toronto, led by former Happy Mondays drummer Gary Whelan. They have been described as “what the Beatles would sound like if they were black”, and should prove to be an exciting opening act for the Beady Eye shows.

The band are making huge waves in the British rock scene and since the departure of Oasis many regard them as being the biggest indie rock band in the UK at the moment. Their new record Velociraptor will be released on September 19th and sees the band progress into a different, more electronic direction. Earlier this Summer they performed as part of the iTunes Festival in London and by all accounts fans have loved their new sound.

In an interview with BBC 6 Music, Liam commented, “Maybe down the line, in the third album we might throw some in there just for the crack.” Recently Noel Gallagher has remarked that he will also play some Oasis tracks on his tour of the UK. If Liam Gallagher does play Oasis tracks it will surely add to tensions between the two brothers, although these remarks could just be Liam playing devil’s advocate.

Speaking to BBC 6 Music, the former Oasis front man responded to a question of when Beady Eye will next be in the studio, “February or the end of January we will be in (the studio) doing our album. We’ve got enough material for another record and that is what we shall do, whether people like it or not.”

These rather robust sentiments are not atypical of Liam Gallagher, and recently he has been embroiled in a lawsuit with his brother Noel over allegations Liam did not play V Festival because he was hungover. Liam has subsequently dropped the law suit but their relationship remains very much on the rocks.

The hit pop singer will headline the venue on December 12th. The show becomes the last of his tour, and brings the total number of performances to 24. He is touring in support of of his recent fifth studio album, which came out on August 22nd. The tour will kick off on October 27th at the Swindon Oasis.

The Britrock band, composed of former Oasis members in 2009, will play the dates as part of their extensive world tour, which will see them play shows in the South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Abu Dhabi, Europe and South America, before they return to the UK. During the live webcast, Noel stated that he did know Liam Gallagher had laryngitis before the cancelled Oasis show at V Festival in 2009. Previously Noel commented that the real reason behind their cancelled show was due to Liam’s hangover and not an illness. It was over these comments that Liam filed a lawsuit against his brother.

The former Oasis guitarist will bring his new solo outfit to his home city on October 26th. This announcement joins dates in Dublin, Edinburgh and London. The project was first revealed in July, and official tickets for the first three gigs sold out in four minutes, although plenty are available on the resale market. Tickets for the Manchester show will go on sale this Thursday (August 25th).

The derogatory twist on the name for Noel’s solo project, High Flying Birds, came during an interview with Q Magazine, and is the latest episode in the ongoing dispute between the two ex-Oasis brothers. Liam Gallagher recently sued Noel over statements made giving the reasons for Oasis’ split, which Liam vehemently denies. He told Q: “He blew it. He could have said, ‘I was a d**k, he was a d**k, that’s life, it’s 2011, here’s my f***king record.’”

Liam, the Beady Eye frontman, then criticised Noel’s choice of band name and dress sense: “Listen, our kid’s a mouthy f*** too. He said we had a year to come up with a band name and came up with Beady Eye. He had three [years] and came up with the High Flying Turds. I don’t know who dressed him but he looks like something out of Westlife.”

Now this confrontation may reach its climax as Liam Gallagher has announced he is suing his brother Noel over comments he made about the end of Oasis. It seems Liam is furious with Noel’s previous allegations that the band cancelled their performance at V Festival because Liam had a hangover and the direct cause of the band’s split was over a clothing row.

Liam released a statement to the Sun stating, “I have taken legal action against Noel Gallagher for statements he made claiming Oasis pulled out of the 2009 V Festival Chelmsford gig because I had a hangover. That is a lie and I want Oasis fans and others who were at V to know the truth. I was gutted when I couldn’t play the gig because I didn’t want to let the fans down.”

Noel is sure to hit back at these comments and the situation is likely to get a lot worse before it gets better. Meanwhile, Liam’s new band Beady Eye will be performing at this year’s Reading and Leeds Festivals.

The singer also recently unveiled another track from the album, Happy Now, which focuses on accepting the difficult decisions that have to be made with age, and changing for the better. He told Digital Spy: “It’s not about hanging on to things that have happened, because I think if you do it shows in your demeanour. It’s about releasing that and just feeling quite content being in my 30s and thinking, ‘Actually, it’s okay, I don’t mind the wrinkles; I’ll forego the wrinkles for some wisdom!”

The former Oasis singer told Rolling Stone: “I haven’t heard anything that sounds as good as that. I don’t mind them. A lot of f***ing people hate them in England. I think it’s the waistcoat and facial hair. I think that guy’s got a good voice… I wish I had written that song. That’s the biggest compliment I can pay whoever wrote that.”

Noel’s words come as a stark contrast to his brother Liam’s thoughts on the folk-pop band: “They look like f***ing Amish people. You know, them ones with the big sideys that don’t use electricity? Growing their own food and putting barns up. I need music to be a bit more sexy and played by people who look a bit f***ing dangerous.”

He commented, “I’ve always thought most bands should play Oasis songs, anyway. The Foo Fighters should definitely do a couple. Green Day could do even more than one or two. Radiohead? I mean, let’s face it. It’d be a better night out.”

The news may shock die hard Oasis fans, who may feel aggrieved to hear that Noel is encouraging a lot of other acts to go back and play Oasis classics. These fans however should take heart from the fact that at a previous interview Noel stated that he definitely would play Oasis songs on his forthcoming tour of the UK.

He commented during a recent interview with Mojo Magazine, “Some were written on the last [Oasis] tour, when I used to feel them out by getting my acoustic guitar and strumming them after soundcheck, because you sound like Jesus in a big arena.”

“Turns out some kids have been taping the soundchecks on mobile phones and posting them up on the internet. I haven’t got a computer and I’m completely oblivious to it all, so I check it out and there are kids on YouTube finishing them off! I’m thinking, ‘They’re covering my songs before I’ve written them? I need to keep an eye on this s*it’.”

The sound quality of If I Had a Gun is quite poor but it sounds like the makings of an amazing song.

The rivalry was always there in Oasis but it was brought to a climax before a show in Paris and a backstage incident which drove Noel out of the band for good. Now Noel has commenced his solo career but the sibling war is not at an end.

In a recent interview with MTV Canada, Liam spoke out, “I’m just disappointed for him, and his fans…. I have my days [bad days] but Noel Gallagher can be a little b*tch when he wants to be.”

Liam went on to comment on the break up of the band, “I just know he lies. Noel wasn’t bullied out of the band.”

Noel will be releasing his solo album on October 17th, while Liam will be playing this year’s Reading and Leeds Festivals with his band Beady Eye.

Robbie put a video on his blog of Noel Gallagher’s new single The Death of You and Me and posted, ‘I know it’s pretty redundant, but I’d love to write with him.” This is rather surprising considering their very confrontational relationship which came to its peak in the mid 90s.

As of yet Noel has not commented on Robbie’s blog, although any partnership would be unlikely. At the moment, Noel Gallagher is preparing for his solo tour this Autumn and his new album will be released on October 17th.

Speaking to BBC Radio 1, Liam said of his brother: “In my opinion – he’s a control freak. He’s making up lies to get brownie points. It’s time he woke up. He’s no angel. Noel today confirmed strong rumours of his new solo record which he has made and will be released on 17th October and is called High Flying Birds. High Flying Birds is also the name of Noel’s new backing band and it seems likely that they will tour together. The announcement will surely come to the euphoric relief of fans who may have started to worry if Noel would ever write new material following the Oasis split in August 2009.

The split between Liam and Noel was very much on very poor terms, as I’m sure you are all aware, and Liam is reported to have said that Noel has used many songs intended for an Oasis album on his new solo album. The internet is currently a web of rumours and tweets which all suggest that Noel will play a surprise acoustic performance at this weekend’s T in the Park. Noel is fresh out of a press conference today (July 6th) in which he announced details of the release of High Flying Birds. Certain sites hoped that the press conference would also reveal plans to play the upcoming Scottish festival but he did not confirm this today.

That being said, it seems as though bands these days, especially of the older generation, are not shying away from guest festival appearances. It is also clear that Noel has a love for T in the Park. The Oasis gig there in 1994 is reported to be one of Noel’s favourite ever Oasis gigs and he has played a surprise performance there before in 2008 when he came on stage with Paul Weller.

At the moment his appearance at T in the Park is very much just internet based conjecture, but fans still remain hopeful that Noel will play.

Noel Gallagher is to hold a press conference this Wednesday (July 6th). Many have speculated that Noel will use this press conference to announce plans of a future solo tour and or the release of a solo album.

Several internet sources have strongly hinted that the former Oasis guitarist/songwriter has been working on an album in LA. Such sources include a cameraman who tweeted “Music video for Noel Gallagher out at Club Ed. Epic camera, techno crane. Should be an interesting day.”

The northern singer of Oasis fame, debuted his new album ‘A Different Gear, Still Speeding’  earlier this year. While he has been known to live on the edge he has told The Sun paper that he likes to listen to similar music not “Amish” music, which is how he has branded Mumford And Sons.

Noel Gallagher is tying the knot with long term girlfriend Sara MacDonald tomorrow the 18th of June. The feuding brothers have been asked by their mum to bury the hatch for the special day, but there has been no reconciliation. Liam has sited his Beady Eye tour commitments as the reason why he can’t attend but he hasn’t actually been invited.

In an interview with the Chicago Sun Times Liam said about not attending the nuptials “No, I’m busy playing gigs in Chicago. He goes on about how he wasn’t invited to my wedding. No one was at my wedding but Nic’s (wife Nicole Appleton) mum and my mum. Get over it mate.” Obviously Noel took offense to the lack of invite and in retaliation has not invited his brother to his wedding.

Liam says Oasis’s split was down to Noel’s hunger for the limelight “Noel wanted to be a solo star. I think he honestly had enough of Oasis and wasn’t getting his own way and wanted to do his own thing. He wanted to sing all his own songs and take all the glory.”

Liam doesn’t think Noel’s solo career is a match for Oasis or Beady Eye ” Oasis was the best band in the world till Beady eye. We’ll take it over. Noel can’t do it by himself” adding ” I’m sure he’ll be f**king great, but there’s a lot f***ing more lacking in a Noel Gallagher gig, a lot more missing his stuff than in ours.”

Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner says it’s obvious but alright for other countries to compare them to Oasis.

The Arctic Monkeys have received the comparison a great deal whilst touring and promoting themselves in the US.  Alex Turner can understand why it’s happening “it’s like we’re both a British rock and roll band” and  ”We are both from the North, similar haircut” “we’re kind of bound to get compared to Oasis in other countries.”

According to Alex that’s where the similarities end though, musically he believes the bands are different.

The bands fourth album ‘Suck It And See’ was censored in the US as the title was deemed too rude. The album was approached in a much more ‘human’ way according to Alex:  ”The recording techniques were a little bit more traditional. We did a lot of live takes, with the four of us playing and we wanted to get a human feel to it.”

Although deemed a mellower album there are some fast paced tracks that echo their earlier material: ”I think it’s pretty frantic at times.” “I guess probably compared with the first two, it is not as fast and crazy. But it has moments like that.”

Rock boys Kasabian have gone for a ‘heavier’ sound on their latest album which will be released later this year.

Guitarist Serge Pizzorno is even surprised by their new sound: “It’s heavier than I thought it would be. It squares up to you and doesn’t leave you alone. It’s really in your face.”

There is a real swagger to Kasabian. Much Like Oasis in their rock’n'roll days they ooze confidence and musical volume and we’re pretty sure this album will be no different.

iAccording to Serge “It’s a real jukebox album, just tune after tune, with really strong verses and really strong choruses.”

Wild man Liam Gallagher has another thumb in another pie. Not satisfied with being a Rock and Roll icon in britpop band Oasis or a fashionista with his clothing label Pretty Green or his new solo venture with Beady Eye, the singer now has a production company and is making a film!

Gallaghers production company, In 1 Productions, is currently making a screenplay of the book The Longest Cocktail Party: An Insider’s Diary Of The Beatles. It is no secret that Liam has had a crush on the Beatles and fancies himself as a modern version, so it shouldn’t be a surprise that he is making a movie about their life between 1968 and 1970.

Gallagher told Q magazine he wanted Johnny Depp, known too for his love of the rock’ n’ roll characters, to play The Beatles publicist Derek Taylor.

“Derek Taylor was a dude,” he said. “He’s up there with Lennon. The film script is done. It’s gonna blow people’s minds” “I’m just waiting to find out when we choose the actors. I want Johnny Depp to play Derek Taylor. It’s got Johnny Depp written all over it, man.”

I wonder what the Beatles think about his choice? No doubt Depp would give the part some of his unique flavour and lets face it, it would be nice to see him on a platform that wasn’t Tim Burtons!

The film is waiting a release date but you can catch Liam and his band Beady Eye at Camdens Roundhouse on the 5th of July and a couple of festivals this summer. Beady Eye tickets are available now.

Speaking to the News Of The World, Gallagher said he would “never go there again,” before going on to state, “The sound is s**t and really quiet, and now it’s like Bond Street with mud, loads of celebrities walking around in their boots and umbrellas.”

Beady Eye tickets are available for the band’s numerous festival appearances this summer, including performances at Reading and Leeds Festival, and the Summer Series.

Alan told Shortlist magazine: “With drugs and stuff Oasis were definitely the wildest. They were just intense. It was never one night with them – they’d start on a Friday and end on a Wednesday.”

Liam Gallagher has recently said that he has toned down his partying wasy as he approaches 40.

He said: “In my pram I was a rock star. But I’m older now. I don’t wanna grow up like a d**k. I don’t want to get to 40 and embarrass my kids. I don’t want to sound like a hippy but it’s great. I run. With golf, I love making proper contact with that ball. I’m still on the fish. Sardines or salmon. Salad. I feel good. It’s only the cigarettes that really stand in me way.”

Liam and his old band mates formed Beady Eye without Liam’s older sibling Noel, who is currently recording his first solo album in L.A.

The bands will be joined by Thecocknbullkid, Charlie Simpson and Little Comets for the Festifeel! one day event at the Water Rats venue in King’s Cross on May the 1st.

The bash, which is now in its second year, is being organised by CoppaFeel! which raises awareness of breast cancer in young people. The Water Rats is the home of Bob Dylan’s first UK gig and the first London gig Oasis ever did. Noah and the Whale tour the U.K in May.

The singer performed the track as a part of a three-song set for a benefit gig curated by comedy actor Simon Pegg, at the Boogaloo bar.

Martin kicked off his performance with an unreleased Coldplay song called ’Wedding Bells’. Although he has played the song live before Martin confirmed that the track “is not going on our record”, going on to describe it as “soppy”.

Following the track, a girl in the crowd asked him to cover the Oasis’ 1995 classic ‘Wonderwall’.

“I’ll do it,” Martin replied. “But only if you do it with me.” He then brought the audience member up onstage and performed the track.

The singer was then joined by Pegg on harmonica for ’A Rush Of Blood To The Head’ track ’Green Eyes’.

Pegg had organised the gig as a tribute to the pub’s former landlord John Parkhouse, who recently passed away.

The free event will feature a total of 62 bands over 31 nights at the Roundhouse in Camden. The festival started in 2007 and tickets are won through competitions or given free to customers using iTunes.

Manic Street Preachers will perform on July the 3rd. Paul Simon kicks off the month long festival, which will include performances from Beady Eye, Foo Fighters and Jessie J.

In previous years, the iTunes festival has featured performances from the likes of Oasis, Biffy Clyro and Scissor Sisters. Other names for the July bash are expected soon.
