Adele set to bring spectacular show to Manchester O2 Apollo

Adele is set to bring her much-anticipated UK tour to Manchester this evening, Friday 16th September, and will also perform at the venue on the following night, Saturday 17th.

Many fans of the singer endured disappointment earlier this month, as she was forced to cancel a series of live concerts due to illness. Adele resumed her tour in Leicester this week in spectacular fashion, performing all of her best-known songs to the sell-out crowd.

The Adele setlist for her Manchester dates is expected to be as follows:

Adele overcomes illness to perform stunning Leicester show (video)

Adele finally began her September UK tour yesterday evening in Leicester, performing to a sell-out crowd at De Montfort Hall. The singer had been forced to cancel the opening six dates of the tour due to a chest infection, but will now go on to play concerts in London, Manchester, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Adele’s setlist contained all of her hit singles, including Chasing Pavements, Rolling In The Deep and Someone Like You. Footage of the UK artist performing Make You Feel My Love can be seen below.

Tickets are still available for all remaining Adele tour dates, with the cancelled shows in Plymouth, Bournemouth, Blackpool, Cardiff and Wolverhampton all set to be rescheduled.

Dappy to make epic ballad

It appears as though N-Dubz star Dappy is trying to further his current solo career by making an epic ballad in conjunction with Eg White who previously wrote Chasing Pavements for Adele.

He told the Daily Mirror, “I want a big ballad like her,’ he said. ‘She really inspires me.”

“I’ve got a voice so I want to make sure I do something huge on the piano. I want to do an Angels like Robbie Williams.”

Whether or not Dappy does repeat a ‘Robbie Williams’ remains to be seen. Once he has made his forthcoming new record fans are hopeful he will tour to support it, although no dates have been confirmed as of yet.

Adele’s North American set lists bode well for UK tour

Adele is currently touring North America ahead of her triumphant return to the UK on the back of unprecedented success and record breaking glory. Last night she performed at Vancouver’s Orpheum Theatre and it was a performance which she dedicated to the death of Amy Winehouse and the current UK riots.

Her performance opened with Hometown Glory and went on to see a melange of her 19 and 21 albums in a package of soulful emotion and sentiment. Adele’s set list in full was as such.

Mona debut album tracklisting confirmed

Rock band Mona have confirmed full details of their upcoming debut album. The self-titled LP will be released on May 16th and has been produced by Foo Fighters and Muse collaborator Rich Costey. The tracklisting for ‘Mona’ is as follows:

Adele, British singer famous for her hit album “19″, which featured the track “Chasing Pavements”, will release tickets for her 2011 tour this Friday. Adele’s latest album “21″ will be released on the 24th January, a week after the first single “Rolling in the Deep”.

Pavement headlining Polish festival but UK tickets still available

Influential American rock band Pavement are to headline the Heineken Open’er festival in Poland this July, but should you not be able to make it to Eastern Europe, there are still a limited number of tickets available for the band’s UK dates. Given that their concert at Auckland Town Hall in New Zealand was their first live performance in ten years, this is a fantastic opportunity to see the alternative rockers live.

Pavement re-union tour starts with a bang

Pavement played their first show in over a decade in New Zealand last night. The cult rockers played a selection of their all-time hits at the show, with tracks including ‘Shady Lane,’ ‘Fight This Generation’ and opener ‘In The Mouth A Desert.’ It was their first show since they decided to re-unite earlier this year. Pavement will now head to Australia, Japan and the USA before landing in the UK this May.

Pavement’s UK tour kicks off at the Tripod in Dublin on May 4 and includes a visit to Glasgow, before they draw the tour to a close with four consecutive nights at London’s O2 Academy Brixton. Pavement unveil track-listing

Domino Records have unveiled the full track-listing of the Pavement best of album ‘Quarantine The Past’. Released on March 8th, the 23-track compilation spans their entire career from 1989 to 1999, and will include the likes of ’Gold Sounds,’ ‘Frontwards,’ and ‘Stereo’ among others. The compilation will end with the impassioned song ‘Fight this Generation.’

The compilation will no doubt increase anticipation for Pavement’s UK tour, which starts on the 4th of May in the Tripod in Dublin before gigs in Glasgow and Dublin. The Pavement tour draws to a close with four straight nights at the O2 Academy Brixton (London).

Cult Californian rock band Pavement have revealed details about their up-and-coming ‘best of’ compilation. Released on March 8, the twenty-three track album will be titled ‘Quarantine The Past: The Best Of Pavement’.

The compilation will no doubt increase anticipation for Pavement’s UK tour, which starts on the 4th of May in the Tripod in Dublin before gigs in Glasgow, Paris and London.

Pavement announce festival plans

Pavement have revealed that they will headline next the 2010 Roskilde Festival in Denmark. The California band will join Muse on the bill at the massive European festival next summer.

The 2010 Roskilde Festival is set to take place between July 1-4.

Pavement add the festival appearance to a busy 2010 tour diary which includes a number of UK shows. Pavement are set to play at Glasgow Barrowland on May 5 before their 4-date residency at the Brixton O2 Academy (May 10-13).
