The festival has already announced headline acts like; Bon Iver, Elbow and Paul Weller, but had kept back a few suprises for closer the time. New acts across a variety of stages were yesterday released, with some highlights being; Catherine AD, Slow Club, King Charles, Smoke Fairies and Of Monsters And Men.

At The Lake Stage, BBC Radio 1 DJ and champion of new music, Huw Stephens has been asked to curate his own line-up. Headline slots go to sonically challenging, electro-indie group Clock Opera, while other acts include:

Alongside all the top notch musical activity, Latitude has proved its diversity, by including a number of other productions, including film, theatre and comedy.

Sadler’s Wells will present an excerpt from the hugely popular Sadler’s Wells Production, The Most Incredible Thing on The Waterfront Stage. A collaboration between pop legends Pet Shop Boys and choreographer/director Javier De Frutos, The Most Incredible Thing, won the Evening Standard’s inaugural Beyond Theatre Award after its premiere in 2011, and recently enjoyed a return run at the theatre this spring.

On the Film and Music Arena Turner Prize-winning artist Jeremy Deller and co-director Nick Abraham present their new film The Bruce Lacey Experience. Three years in the making, the film examines Lacey’s remarkable legacy as an all-round cultural chameleon. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Jeremy Deller. The Royal Albert Hall arrives at Latitude presenting the innovative violinist Hahn-Bin. One of the world’s most exciting and original classical musicians, Hahn-Bin is not only a prodigious talent but a style visionary who recently graced the cover of fashion bible i-D Magazine. Hahn-Bin recently launched The Renaissance of Classical Music, a project which aims to bring the style into mainstream culture.

In the Comedy Arena, Jack Dee, Brian Cox, Tim Minchin and others will be joined by Phill Jupitus, as well as multi award-winning, fringe sell-out, mind reader who can’t read minds, Chris Cox and revered Canadian stand-up Tony Law will be regaling audiences with his time travelling exploits in the company of his infamous sausage dog.

With the fall in the number of traditional summer festivals in the UK this year, Latitude is surely one of the hottest tickets in town for those who want to while the days away baking in a sweaty tent and drinking warm cider.

The boyband are playing as part of their huge Progress Live tour, which features support from Pet Shop Boys. The tour broke records for ticket sales, with over 1 million sold within 24 hours. During the two-month long tour, the group will perform to an estimated 1.6 million fans.

Take That member Jason Orange said he thought the support act would be too big to agree to perform the shows. “I’m flattered and very happy they’ve agreed to do it. They’re so talented; I thought they’d be above it and us.”

Recently reunited with Take That, Robbie Williams also gave his approval. “I’m a huge Pet Shop Boys fan so for me it will be an absolute joy to be able to watch them every night.”

Take That’s Progress tour begins on May 27th at Sunderland’s Stadium Of Light, with Take That tickets available for all upcoming UK shows.

The single is called ‘Together’, but a release date has yet to be confirmed.

The compilation is available in a deluxe version, which will come with the band’s Glastonbury 2010 performance as well as other special recordings.

The full Glastonbury line-up was announced today, and as expected, the festival will showcase a host of huge names from the world of music. The festival’s 40th anniversary will see Muse, U2 and Stevie Wonder headline the infamous Pyramid Stage, with acts such as Snoop Dogg, Dizzee Rascal, Jack Johnson, The Flaming Lips, Pet Shop Boys,  Hot Chip and the XX also set to appear across the weekend.

Fans missing out on Glastonbury tickets still have the chance to see some of their favourite artists performing across the UK.

As well as appearing at Glastonbury, Stevie Wonder will not only be headlining this year’s Hard Rock Calling Festival at Hyde Park, whilst Muse are set to perform two huge shows at Wembley Arena this September.

Fans of Faithless will be able to see the dance act at various venues across the UK this May, whilst Florence and the Machine are also set for a UK tour in the same month.

Pet Shop Boys have announced that they have added four more dates to their Pandemonium tour this December.

The four new UK arena shows will be at the Glasgow SECC and Clyde Auditorium (December 17), Birmingham National Indoor Arena (December 18), the Manchester Evening News Arena (December 20) before drawing the tour to a close at the London O2 Arena (December 21).

Pet Shop Boys fans can expect to see them perform the hits from any of the ten studio albums they have released so far.

However, more emphasis might be placed on their most current album titled Yes released in March 2009.

Tickets for the new Pet Shop Boys tour will go on general sale from Friday June 19 at 9am.

Tickets are also available for fans who want to see the Pet Shop Boys in July at a few summer festivals.

Pet Shop Boys will be appearing at T In The Park at the Kinross Balado Airfield taking place from July 10-12.

Then the Pet Shop Boys will move onto the Latitude Festival at the Southwold Henham Park, taking place from July 16-19.

Also as part of the Summer Pops Festival, the Pet Shop Boys will be playing at the Liverpool Echo Arena on July 13.

Thom Yorke of Radiohead will perform a special solo set at Latitude Festival

New acts have been announced to join the line up of the Latitude Festival and the End of the Road Festival.

Added to the line up of the Latitude Festival are Of Montreal, Maps, Lykke Li, Fever Ray, Sky Larkin and St Vincent.

Thom Yorke from Radiohead will also perform a special solo set.

The headline acts for the Latitude Festival are Pet Shop Boys, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, and Grace Jones.

Added to the line up of the End of the Road Festival are The Horrors, Brakes, Loney Dear, Vetiver, Blitzen Trapper, The Duke and The King, Shearwater and Wye Oke.

The headline acts already confirmed for the End of the Road Festival are Explosions in the Sky and Fleet Foxes.

The Latitude Festival will be at the Southwold Henham Park taking place from July 16-19.

The End of the Road Festival is taking place at the Salisbury Larmer Tree Gardens from September 11-13.

The 2009 Brit Awards took place at London Earl’s Court last night and featured live performances from the likes  of Kylie Minogue, Coldplay, Take That and Kings of Leon.

A number of last night’s winners are on tour this year and tickets are selling fast. Katy Perry, Elbow, Kings of Leon and Paul Weller will be touring the UK in 2009. Elbow kick off their tour at Brighton Dome on February 28. Elbow tickets are available from £52. Coldplay, who failed to pick up any Brit Awards, embark on their 2009 stadium tour in September. The Coldplay tour kicks off at Lancashire County Cricket Ground in Manchester on September 12 and draws to a close in London at Wembley Stadium on September 19. Last night, the Pet Shop Boys picked up the Lifetime Achievement award at the 2009 Brit Awards which were held at London Earl’s Court. Other winners included Duffy, Elbow, Kings of Leon and Paul Weller.

Paul Weller’s Award was tainted in some controversy however following various bookmakers’ decision to suspend all Brits award related betting on suspicion that a list of winners had been leaked following a sudden rush of wagers were placed on Paul Weller to win best solo male artist across several William Hill Bookmakers.

Other winners at the 2009 Brit Awards took place at London Earl’s Court included Kings of Leon who took home the awards for Best International Album and Best International Group, Elbow won the Best Group award, Katy Perry was named Best International Female and Iron Maiden took home the award for Best Live Act. As many had expected, Paul Weller picked up the Best Male Solo Artist award. Pet Shop Boys picked up the Outstanding Contribution to Music award and Florence and the Machine won the Critics’ Choice award.
