“We want to stop off in towns not usually heavily toured by bands, and celebrate the people, food and music that inhabit them. We’re keen to promote the town’s local businesses, and we’ll be using the local bars and venues for aftershow parties, whilst working closely with the local people to get everyone involved in making these shows spectacular.

Speaking to the Daily Star, the the band’s frontman Tom Meighan, “Serge and Aitor Throup, who did our album artwork, and a guy called Nick who’s a genius at lighting, came up with it. It’s going to look great. The idea that the stage will react to fans will be cool. It’s never been done.”

The set is reported to be programmed to shine brighter or darker, dependant on the amount of noise generated in the venue.

“I don’t know enough about it yet,” Meighan continued. “It’s been a secret from me. I’m going Thursday to look at the lighting and go ‘Wow’. It’s pretty exciting. We want to get in the stride of playing live again.”

GaGa is tipped to appear on the results episode on Sunday, November 13, whilst Florence and the Machine are set to appear on this week’s show, following the release of their new album, Ceremonials.

The UK act will be joined by X Factor stars JLS in performing on the results show, whilst US star Lady GaGa is rumoured to be joining One Direction in two weeks time.

Speaking in a recent interview with the Rolling Stone, lead singer Chris Martin said, “You can’t take anything for granted any more. It doesn’t matter if you used to be big or used to be famous; you’ve got to prove yourself all over again.

“We don’t have any immediate touring plans. We’ve just got to wait and see if anyone is interested in listening to the album. I don’t really care any more about being relevant. I’m just happy to be with that group of people.

“We’re very fired up and we’re very focused and the people who want to enjoy our music, we love them and we welcome them. In terms of where we fit in? I don’t care.”

Coldplay are set to perform three UK shows this December, and could be set to announce additional dates after the album is released next week. Coldplay tickets are on sale now for the following shows:

The band have enjoyed huge success throughout their 14 year career, which has included 14 number one singles and 7 number one albums.

In the statement posted on the official Westlife website, the band said, “We today announce our plan to go our separate ways after a greatest hits collection this Christmas and a farewell tour next year.

“The decision is entirely amicable and after spending all of our adult life together so far, we want to have a well-earned break and look at new ventures.”

The publication claims that the band’s festival dates will coincide with their world tour plans and will give UK fans another opportunity to catch them performing their classic songs, as well as new material.

Asked during yesterday’s reunion press conference about the possibility of festival sets, drummer Reni stated, “We can’t say at the moment,” whilst frontman Ian Brown added, “They’re just rumours. There might be.”

Stone Roses tickets for the band’s two homecoming shows at Heaton Park in Manchester are set to go on sale this Friday, 21st October at 9.30am.

Speaking to 6Music, guitarist Ed O’Brien assured fans that a tour would take place, whilst also revealing details about the shows. “We’re finalising dates now. We’ll be on the road from the end of February to November and we’ll be playing in both the UK and US, the usual ports of call.”

O’Brien also stated that the performances will be focussed around the group’s latest album, King Of Limbs. “It has to be a set in itself, last time we went out it was ‘In Rainbows’ and a greatest hits. It’s not going to be like that this time. It’s going to be predominately from this record and the last one and then we’ll see which songs fit around that.”

Tickets for 2012 Radiohead tour dates are likely to go on sale in the new year.

The first track to be available will be the group’s collaboration with Rihanna, titled Princess Of China.

Coldplay are set to perform three UK shows this December, in support of their new album, which will be their fifth studio record. The group will play arena shows at Glasgow SECC on the 3rd, Manchester MEN Arena on the 4th and London’s O2 Arena on the 9th. The band are also set to appear at the upcoming Children In Need Rocks concert at Manchester MEN Arena on 17th November.

Rumours are suggesting that the original line-up of the Manchester band – Ian Brown, John Squire, Gary “Mani” Mounfield and drummer Alan “Reni” Wren – will reform for UK gigs next year.

It is being suggested that the band have lined up a number of hometown shows at Heaton Park in Manchester, as well as planning to release new material.

According to a British newspaper, UK magician Dynamo and close friend of Brown, showed the paper a text message from the singer, which read, “We are going to rule the world again. It’s happening.”

Dynamo followed it up by saying, “He said it’s true. It is definitely happening. Ian’s on great form. I’ll be at the gigs. It’s going to be massive.”

Stone Roses tickets are expected to go on sale shortly for a number of 2012 UK tour dates, it is not yet known whether the band have any plans to record new material.

The concerts will be formed by an evolving line up of band members past and present performing the classic albums Three Imaginary Boys, Seventeen Seconds and Faith.

The Cure tickets are now only available from fan-to-fan exchange sites.

Adele told the audience: “This is the last time you’ll catch me at a venue like this. These will be my last theatre dates as I’m moving on to arenas. I’ll be at the O2 in February.”

After being booed by the crowd, the singer added: “Too many people want to see my shows, I have to. Don’t worry, I’ll still get into the crowd and everything.”

Appearing on Giles Peterson’s show on BBC Radio 1 last night, Yorke said, “The idea is to go out and play next year on and off during the year.”

The musician also revealed that he is working on a new album as part of his super-band Atoms For Peace alongside Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea.

Radiohead have only played one gig this year since the release of their new album The King Of Limbs – a secret show at Glastonbury Festival.

Radiohead tour dates and ticket details could be revealed by the end of the year.

When asked by fans about new material, Rihanna Tweeted, “Yassss!” Adding, “Yaaayy I can’t wait to start filling u guys in on some details!! *Zips lips*.” She went on to reveal that her new music will come “after CHEERS becomes #1 .”

The record will have a lot to live up to, following the success of her current album, Loud. Rihanna is set to tour the UK later this year in support of the hit album, with Rihanna tickets available for shows throughout October, November and December.

He attacked fans who have said Michael Jackson’s mother, Katherine, is greedy for supporting the concert, using his Twitter account. Starting this morning, he posted a series of messages on the social network, some of which are shown below:

“I learned the concept of fans from my uncle [Michael]. Sorry, you cannot call yourself a fan & attack MJ’s mother or kids. That is not a fan.”

“A fan can disagree and not like something, but being hateful is not a fan of MJ. It goes against everything he stood for.”

“Now I read comments like crazy Katherine or Greedy Katherine. or $$$$ Katherine. It is so disappointing.”

Whilst some fans supported his comments, some vehemently disagreed, as Taj is expected to receive payment for appearing at the concert with his brothers Taryll and Tito Joseph Jackson. The Michael Forever Tribute Concert will take place on October 8th at Cardiff’s Millenium Stadium, and will feature artists including Christina Aguilera, Leona Lewis and JLS.

True Colours was posted earlier this week and now it appears that more music will soon be surfacing from the rockers. Drummer Lee Barratt tweeted today, “First day of writing for the new Gallows.html EP. My sticks are already covered in blood and pus. It’s pretty gross that the blisters on pretty much all my fingers are still leaking fluids [too].”

The band will soon be making a new album too with MacNeil and fans are very excited to see which direction the band will head in next.

Gallows do not have any tours planned, however fans are hopeful that they will announce a new tour soon.

He revealed that he has been writing new songs with James Williamson who played with The Stooges on their 1973 album Raw Power. Iggy revealed to RollingStone.com, “We started trading stuff by MP3 back and forth as soon as we started. We actually did get together this spring. He came to my house in Miami and we wrote 10 things. I think we like about half of them.”

Fans of Iggy Pop are also hopeful that he will support any new material with a tour of the UK although no touring plans have been confirmed as of yet.

Jay-Z has just released Watch The Throne, which was a collaborative album with Kanye West, but now it appears that a new Jay-Z album could be soon around the corner. Producer No I.D told Billboard magazine,

“He (Jay-Z) played me a couple of things. I gave him some music while we were at the’Watch The Throne’ sessions. But with Jay, you never know what he’s really doing, thinking, planning until it’s really done. I’m sure he’ll make a decision one day to make an album very quickly, like he usually does.”

Jay-Z will be touring the US this Autumn with Kanye on the Watch The Throne tour.

Now however he is being targeted by anti-homophobic campaigners following his victory. Anti-homophobia campaigners GLAAD have objected to the very offensive lyrics in Tyler, The Creator’s music. The associate director of GLAAD posted today, ‘”MTV didn’t choose the winner of the Best New Artist category (that’s chosen by public vote) on last night’s show, but they did decide to nominate Tyler in the first place and put him onstage. We hope in the future they will think more carefully about the message they’re sending to their young audience before giving him another platform.”

Tyler, The Creator does not have any tours planned, but fans are hopeful he will be touring soon.

Rumours say that she has been discussing plans for a child with fiancée Jason Trawick, who is also her former manager. A new baby would be her third, after having two children with former husband Kevin Federline. A source told the Sun: “She’s always wanted a big family but also wants to prove to herself and her family she is a good mother. She wants another chance to put things right. Now she’s finally had the green light from Jason, she can’t wait.”

Ed O’Brien spoke with Argentian website Al Tantun last week and he revealed that the band are currently booking tour dates for 2012. He also told the website that he is currently working on solo material. The full interview will be available soon via the Al Tantun website but the news that the band are planning a 2012 tour will delight fans.

The band did play a surprise set at Glastonbury earlier this Summer and will be appearing on an American talk show next month.

The duo talked about the idea earlier this year at the Brits and now a source has told the Sun, “all still planned – they both want to do it”, adding: “It’s not a case of if, it’s more when.” The only hindering factor may be their respective very busy schedules. Rihanna is however coming to the UK this Autumn on an extensive tour of the country, and this may be a chance for the two girl superstars to get together and do something.

Following their co-headline slot with Pulp at last weekend’s Reading and Leeds Festivals, the band’s bassist Nikolai Fraiture told the Daily Star;

“Some people are bringing in stuff, some are not. There aren’t so many finished songs but we have many parts. We try putting them together like puzzles and making them stick.”

He went on to add, “What we do on our own is not the same as what we do together. We’re in a good place as a band right now. I feel like I’m at therapy in a marriage.”

This news is certainly an improvement from the band’s previous poor relations which were apparently eminent during the recording of Angles. The Strokes do not currently have any tours planned but fans are hopeful they will be back on the road sooner rather than later.

Guitarist Freddie Cowan commented, “We don’t generally write on the road. We’ve got some time off coming up. But I couldn’t even tell you about the new album because we haven’t thought about it yet.” However Bassist Arni Hjörvar added: “We haven’t thought about it but it’s on our minds. We’re aware that the normal way to do it is to release another record at some point. And that that will involve some writing.”

The band released their debut album, What Did You Expect From The Vaccines?” in March of this year but it seems that the sequel may be a while off yet. The band will be heading out on tour in support of Arctic Monkeys this Autumn.

The tragedy at Pukkelpop festival resulted in a number of stages collapsing in very strong winds and torrential rain, leaving five dead and hundreds injured. In an interview with BBC Newsbeat, Benn said of Pukkelpop: “If we had something similar I know what actions I would take in order to make sure people were safe. I have to table top exercises with the emergency services about the actions I would take in the event of all of those things. Believe me, there is no scenario of an eventuality that I have not looked at, including freak storms. I know how I would deal with it to ensure peoples’ safety. The level of effort over safety is immense. It’s the thing which keeps me awake at night.”

The celebration of Michael Jackson’s life is due to take place on October 8th at Cardiff’s Millennium stadium and features such amazing artists as Christina Aguilera, Leona Lewis and JLS. There have been concerns raised to the organisers that the event is taking place at the same time at an inquest into Michael Jackson’s death, but the show is due to go ahead as planned.

He tweeted, “Whole bunch of things being plotted. More solo/book tours in Europe and US, new Stone Sour album, a US Slipknot tour. Going to be busy!” So it seems he plans to go back into the studio with his other band, Stone Sour, and tour once more with Slipknot. Despite headlining this year’s Sonisphere Festival, Slipknot have not played many live shows since the death of bassist Paul Gray last year, so the news that they will tour once more will certainly please fans.

At the moment the punk/emo rockers are touring the US with Blink 182 and they have now announced that they plan to get back in the studio once these touring commitments are finished. They cite reasons such as adding Kiss to the bill and quickly removing them due to lead singer Gene Simmons calling Jackson a child-molester, and the fact that the concert is due to take place at the same time as the trial of Jackson’s former doctor Conrad Murray for the manslaughter of the singer.

An excerpt from the statement says: “We, as Michael Jackon’s staunch supporters and advocates, refuse to support the Michael Jackson Forever Tribute, planned by Global Live Events in October, 2011. Even with the withdrawal of your most recent performer, Gene Simmons/Kiss, fans feel the damage has already been done. Your apology is too little, too late, and does not solve the problems we have with this tribute.”

It continues: “From the timing of this tribute, in the middle of Dr. Murray’s trial, to the ticketing prices, to the obscurity over what charities will be receiving the donation, to the no-guarantee policy of performers, the addition of Gene Simmons and dishonoring, thus tarnishing Michael Jackson’s legacy was simply the last straw. With the damage done, it will be the fans who work hard to overcome this debacle for Michael Jackson’s legacy.”

The line-up for the concert currently includes Christina Aguilera, JLS, Leona Lewis and Cee Lo Green, and is set to take place in Cardiff on October 8th.
