The cheeky, cockney comedian has built up a strong following after years of touring the UK circuit got his big break when performing on Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, and Mock The Week. In 2007 he was nominated for ‘Best Newcomer‘ at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards, and has since toured his sell-out show, The Out Out Tour.

Lady GaGa is widely expected to be close to confirming details of a 2012 World tour. Lady GaGa tickets could go on sale withing the next few weeks.

Canadian star Bieber will join the likes of Lady Gaga, Coldplay, Jessie J, Bruno Mars, Snow Patrol, David Guetta, LMFAO and Red Hot Chili Peppers in performing at the spectacle.

Speaking about the event, the singer stated, “It’s really exciting to be a part of the MTV EMA this year. I can’t wait to get to Belfast.”

UK band Coldplay will perform at the show on the back of the release of their number one album, Mylo Xyloto, and are nominated for Best Live Act, Best Rock Act and best UK and Ireland Act. The group will go on to perform headline arena shows this December.

Lady Gaga looks set to dominate this year’s EMAs after picking up six nominations, including appearing on the shortlist for Best Pop Act and Best Female Act.

As well as her appearance at the EMA’s, GaGa is scheduled to take to the stage at the BBC Children In Need Rocks Concerts at Manchester MEN Arena on 17th November. This year’s MTV Europe Music Awards ceremony will take place at Belfast Odyssey Arena on 6th November and will be hosted by US star Selena Gomez.

UK act Jessie J will appear at the show just days after completing her upcoming UK tour. Speaking about the event, the singer said, “I can’t quite believe I’m nominated for three awards. It’s like a dream, I keep pinching myself. And being nominated for Best UK/Ireland Act alongside artists like Adele, Coldplay, Kasabian and Florence is an honour.”

The X Factor boyband sold over 153,000 copies of the track, beating the likes of Adele, Bruno Mars and Jennifer Lopez to this year’s biggest first week sales title.

There was also a new number 1 in the official UK Album Chart, with Ed Sheeran reaching the top spot with his debut album, +.

One Direction will form part of the line-up for the upcoming BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards show at Wembley Arena on Sunday 9th October.

BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards tickets will go on sale this Saturday, 24th September.

The band will perform at Dublin O2 Arena on January 21st and Belfast Odyssey Arena on the 23rd, as well as their upcoming Q Awards show in London this October.

The group are set to release their latest album, Fallen Empires, later this year.

Snow Patrol tickets for their concerts in Ireland and Northern Ireland will go on sale next Friday, 23rd September, with more dates set to follow shortly.

The line-up for the event was announced today, with Pixie Lott headlining, supported by performances from the likes of X Factor stars One Direction and Cher Lloyd. Jason Derulo, Joe Jonas and Ed Sheeran will also appear.

The Teen Awards are staged to celebrate the achievements of inspirational young people, as well as honouring music, sport and entertainment stars. The entire show will be broadcast live on BBC Radio 1 and streamed online.

The singer will now reschedule the performances, along with the cancelled shows in Bournemouth and Plymouth earlier this week.

The singer has released the following statement: “It is with regret that due to continuing problems with a serious cold and chest infection, Adele has had to postpone her show tonight, Wednesday September 7th in Cardiff and the following date tomorrow, Thursday September 8th in Blackpool. She had cancelled her performance at The Mercury Awards last night in the hope she would be able to continue her live dates, but has been told by her doctors that she is still not well enough to perform.

“The shows will be rescheduled at the earliest opportunity and all original tickets will remain valid. Refunds will be available from the point of purchase.

“Adele is extremely sorry and apologises for any inconvenience caused and looks forward to seeing you all at the rescheduled shows.”

Speaking to Capital FM, Tinie Tempah revealed when asked about a possible collaboration, “It’s all been talking like, ‘Let’s do it’, ‘Yeah let’s do it’, and I’m just trying to time that,

“Let’s make a plea, let’s make a petition and let’s get this track done.”

The track could feature on the rapper’s second album, which is due to be released early next year. The record was originally expected to be unleashed in late 2011, but due to the upcoming Tinie Tempah tour dates, the release has had to be pushed back.

Tinie Tempah is set to perform UK arena shows throughout October and November.

The Do It Like A Dude singer was nominated for best song, best album, best newcomer, best video and best UK act categories. She released a statement commenting,

“I am so honoured to be nominated. I have watched so many of the artists I look up to being nominated, winning awards and performing. It’s amazing to be in the company of such amazing talent.”

Also nominated for four awards were Tinie Tempah, Wretch 32 and Adele who are all sure to do well when the awards ceremony takes place on October 5th.

The hit Irish traditional folk band will embark on the tour to celebrate forty years of music. Formed in 1962, the band have won six Grammy awards, from eighteen nominations. They are also the recipients of a BBC Radio 2 Lifetime Achievement Award. The hit musical will be performed at the Edinburgh Playhouse from February 7th to February 11th. The show is billed as an adult-themed Sesame Street spoof, focussing on a college graduate who moves to New York in search of work. The only place he can afford to live is Avenue Q, where he and his neighbours struggle to cope with the problems and let-downs of real life. One of the surprise nominations was perhaps Mumford and Sons with their brand of folk-rock managing to get a nomination for Best Rock Video, along with the Foo Fighters and the Black Keys. Unsurprisingly Lady Gaga and Beyonce are also nominated with 3 nominations respectively.

McIntyre seems to be loathed by many of his fellow comedians. The Mail Online has reported that comedian Stewart Lee has stated that McIntyre “is spoon-feeding his audience warm diarrhoea”.

At the British Comedy Awards earlier this year McIntyre suffered much abuse at the hands of his fellow comics. Following this incident, McIntyre told the BBC’s Kirsty Young that “It just made me feel awful, because I am there with my wife and she has gone out and bought a dress. And it is my big night and I won, and yet the overriding experience was that of nastiness. For what reason, I don’t know. I don’t know what I was doing — just making people laugh.”

Despite this criticism by other comedians, McIntyre will be touring the year. His tour kicks off on August 22nd at Cardiff’s Motorpoint Arena.

The Jason Manford UK Tour starts on Friday 24th June in the Warwick Arts Centre, Coventry. His last show will be in Dublin on September 17th. The comedian is famous for his observational, satirical style, and cites Billy Connolly, Tommy Cooper and contemporary Michael Mcintyre amongst his influences. Born in Salford, Manchester in 1981, the comedian became popular when hosting a breakfast show on XFM Manchester and during his stint as a team captain on quiz show 8 Out of 10 Cats. He has been the winner of many awards, including North West City Life Comedian of the Year, Chortle Award for Best Breakthrough Act and Best Stand-up on the North West Circuit.

In November 2010 Manford announced he was giving up comedy and touring to concentrate on his family, so this tour is the last chance to see his hilarious live show.

To be released on July 9th, the two tracks will be Order and Pan, neither of which featured on his debut album, James Blake. Released in February, the album was critically acclaimed and he was nominated for the Critic’s Choice Award at this year’s Brit Awards.

The singer is playing a number of festivals this summer, including Glastonbury on Saturday, and The Big Chill Festival in August. He is also playing a small gig in Edinburgh on August 30th.

Beyonce’s record company Columbia raised concerns that her new album ’4′ didn’t have her usual number of hit songs on it and even requested she make alterations – which she refused to do.

It is rumoured that Columbia feel ‘Beyonce’s career has stalled a bit’ and that ‘Columbia seems to think they can get some mileage out of a comeback record with all of the girls.’ However Kelly Rowland  (who has been successful as a solo artists too, picking up two grammy awards, her recent single ‘Motivation’ featuring Lil’wayne reached the top spot of the Hot R7B/Hip Hop charts and she has just joined the judging panel on the eighth series of X Factor UK) is not keen to reunited the band.

Bon Jovi have had huge commercial success but not the industry awards to match it, siting the band as the ‘Tom Cruise’ of rock according to frontman Jon.

Bon jovi have sold over 120 million albums but haven’t received industry awards, frontman Jon Bon Jovi said “I’ve been critically acclaimed in most of my television and film work, but I didn’t sell any movie tickets, and with the band, it’s like Tom Cruise. I’ve had all the commercial success you could dream of, but hey, the guy still doesn’t have an Oscar. Whattcha Gonna do?”

He questions whether the band have the respect they should, that they are deserving “Is Longevity respect? Is coming home and having you family be proud of you respect?”

Jon insists that although pondering the bands critical and commercial success they love touring and find the process extremely rewarding and good fun.

The dress, worn by Gaga to the 2010 MTV movie awards, generated widespread controversy. Fashioned from pieces of raw flesh by designers Franc Fernandez and Nicola Formichetti, the dress is to be the centrepiece of an exhibition entitled Women who rock: Vision, Passion, Power. Although given preservatives to prevent rotting, reports suggest the dress now resembles a “sort of jerky.” The exhibition will cover two entire floors of the museum in Cleveland, Ohio.

Les Miserables is hitting the silver screen in another film adaptation of the infamous musical and Hugh Jackman is first choice for the leading man.

Les Miserables is one of the West Ends longest running musicals, enjoying it’s ten-thousandth performance last year. Similarly Jackman is no stranger to an all singing all dancing performance: he picked up a Tony Award for Outstanding Actor in the musical ‘The Boy from Oz’ , he hosted the Tony Awards and the Oscars in 2009 when he chose to present in a cabaret format singing and dancing his way through the awards.

The adaptation is being undertaken by Tom Hooper,the director of The Kings Speech, with shooting commencing at the end of the year.

British West End sensation collects five of the most prestigious theatrical awards.

War Horse, the story about a bond between a boy, David and his horse during World War One, has won the hearts of the West End, Spielberg (who is making a movie of the production) and now Broadway.

Winning five awards: Best Play, Tom Morris and Marianne Elliott picked up Best Direction of a Play, Best scenic Design of a Play, Best lighting design of a Play, Best Sound Design of a Play and  the Special Tony Award was given to Handspring Puppet Company. The production won every category it was nominated in.

War Horse began life at the National Theater before transferring to London’s West End where it is enjoying an open run. Following its phenomenal reception and success on Broadway there are plans for the production to do a 20 city US tour.  It’s next stop Canada and Australia and perhaps a Japanese production too. War Horse is a global phenomena.

The production is not an “all singing all dancing” theatrical experience but an emotional tale that transcends generations and cultures. The carnage of World War 1 told from the innocence of youth bring a poignancy to an element of war so far untold; The narrative and emotional weight is carried by the grace of the horses – the puppets. Many feel it is the realism of the horses that creates the beauty of the production.

War Horse will make you cry tears of joy and wonderment, you’ll be thrilled you saw it. Everyone should see this production, winning of not only awards but hearts.

Actor turned musician Jared Leto’s band 30 Seconds To Mars picked up to awards at last nights Kerrang awards.

The band walked away with  ’best International Band’ and ‘Best Single’ for ‘Hurricane’ making them the big winners of last night’s event.

Other winners included My Chemical Romance who picked up ‘Best Video’ for ‘Na Na Na’ ( although they were nominated in five categories) and Bring Me The Horizon won ‘Best Album’ for ‘There Is A Hell, Believe Me I’ve Seen It. There Is A Heaven, Let’s Keep It A Secret’

Ozzy Osbourne got ‘Kerrang Legend’ and The Kerrang Inspiration award went to Def Leppard.

Jessie J picked up ‘Woman of Tomorrow’ award at the Glamour Awards last night.

Showing off a new glamorous look (in keeping with the awards) Jessie picked up her award alongside Adele who picked up ‘UK Solo Artist Of The Year’.

It didn’t effect the songstress picking up the Style Icon prize though. Known for creating masterpieces, Gaga challenges societies perceptions through her controversial outfits. The Hoxton Square Bar and Kitchen housed the Wave Machinesfor an awesome gig last night. The Liverpudlian band finished their micro tour at the London venue. Describing themselves as Sub Atomic Party Choral I can safely tell you they rocked!

With a full venue, we danced along to the Punk Spirit, You say the stupidist things and I go I go I go.

Whilst they maybe a quirky looking bunch Carl Brown, Timothy Bruzon, Vidar Norheim and James Walsh are mightily talented swapping instruments and vocals throughout the set. Beautiful guitar and  fantastic crooning tantalised the ears and made us feel all warm and fuzzy inside. DEFINITELY worth the £8.50 ticket and should be seen if the opportunity arises, you wont be sorry.

The band formed in 2007 and signed with Neapolitan Music Limited in 2008. They won the 9th annual Independent Music Awards Vox Pop vote for best Dance/Electronica song Keep the Lights On. Currently recording their second album and squeezing in gigs up and down the country, keep your eyes peeled for date and your ears open for new releases!

The Hoxton Square Bar and Kitchen was a great venue. Outside space, with chunky benches and tables meant we could take advantage of the evening sun. Inside is very funky and a reminder that you are in cool east london.  Friends ate and said the food was delicious, its sort of a fusion between south american and mexican food, with bar snacks of Alabama’s sweet potato wedges for £4.50, spicy beans with guacamole £8.50 and Big mamas cajun chicken breasts for £15. The bar has everything you could possible want, i can recommend the cider it went down very well last night!

Bands such as Bullet for my Valentine, 30 Seconds to Mars and You Me At Six are also up for awards. The winners will be announced at a ceremony on June 9th.

The news comes following the success of My Chemical Romance’s fourth studio album, which was released in late 2010. My Chemical Romance tickets are on sale now for the band’s summer UK festival appearance.

More than seven hours of Bestival will be broadcast in September with performances from Pendulum, The Cure, Primal Scream and Public Enemy.

Organiser and Radio 1 DJ Rob da Bank said: “Bestival in 3D will be a mind-blowing explosion of colour and multidimensional music and mayhem. Having Camp Bestival too… means we’ve got a great summer of TV ahead.”

Two hours of action will be shown in 3D on each day of the festival, which takes place between 8-11 September at Robin Hill Country Park on the Isle of Wight.

Other acts confirmed for Bestival include Robyn, Crystal Castles, Magnetic Man, Katy B, DJ Shadow and Brian Wilson from The Beach Boys.

There will also be a 90-minute special after the festival finishes showing the main highlights. Bestival was voted best festival at the UK festival awards in 2010.

It’s also been announced the Isle of Wight festival will be shown in 3D on Sky. The festival in Seaclose Park in Newport, from 10 to 12 June is headlined by Kings of Leon, Foo Fighters and Kasabian.

The 62-year-old from Birmingham will be given the prize at a ceremony in London on 9 June and is also playing a show in the capital in the same month to mark the rock magazine’s 30th anniversary.

He said: “It’s an incredible honour to be the second recipient of Kerrang’s legend award. I’m looking forward to you going crazy at the 30th Anniversary on 21 June in Hammersmith.”

Ozzy Osbourne rose to fame with heavy metal band Black Sabbath before starting a solo career in 1980.

He also starred in a reality show about his family for MTV which also featured wife Sharon, son Jack and one of his daughters Kelly, which at the time was a real first in television.
