The ’Love Is The Drug’ hitmaker was taken to a medical facility on Tuesday and had to axe his planned performance at an Olympics 2012 event in London after feeling unwell.

The drama sparked reports the singer was “seriously ill” and there was even speculation he had suffered a heart attack – but his representative has now issued a statement to confirm Ferry is well and will be heading out on tour as planned later this month.

His spokesman says “Bryan Ferry has left hospital following a 24-hour period of routine observation and tests. All is well and he will be touring his Olympia solo album commencing this month.”

The spokesman said: “Bryan has been feeling rough for some time and he felt even worse today. So, he thought it was best for the doctors to look into it. We’re all obviously very concerned for him. “He added that the tests were “a precautionary measure.”

There has, as yet, been no announcement that the tour will be affected. The singer, who had three number one albums and ten top ten singles with Roxy Music, recently returned from a world tour with his former bandmates, which finished in New Zealand last month.

Last week, Ferry was part of the line-up at a concert to celebrate former Soviet president Mikhail Gorbachev’s 80th birthday.

After Beady Eye’s debut album, ‘Different Gear, Still Speeding’, was released yesterday, Gallagher told thequietus.com that he would not rule out an Oasis reunion, if it was done for the right reasons.

When asked if Oasis would reform in the future for money, Gallagher said: “I’m not going to say ‘never’, but at the moment no f****** chance.”

He added: “But it wouldn’t be for money, mate. I like to think that if we did get back together – which we f****** won’t – but if we did then it would be for the fans. It would be for the people and the music and not for f****** money.”

Gallagher went on to say that he believes his fued with brother Noel could come to an end soon, but at the moment they are both working on their own projects
