Leeds Festival stage times revealed – check here

The full list of stage times has been confirmed for next weekend’s Leeds Festival.

The three-day event is held at Bramham Park from Friday 26th – Sunday 28th August. Friday will see Muse headline the main stage, whilst on Saturday My Chemical Romance take the top spot, and Sunday sees a joint headline position shared by The Strokes and Pulp.

The full stage times have been released for this weekend’s Reading Festival.

Taking place from this Friday (August 26th) to Sunday (August 28th) and will see headline performances from My Chemical Romance, The Strokes and Pulp, and Muse will close the festival. The festival has music kicking off from 11.00-11.30 each day.

Latitude festival site suffers after day of rain

The Latitude Festival site felt the full force of a day of bad weather yesterday, as the ground rapidly became extremely muddy.

Festival goers had enjoyed a day full of sunshine on the Friday, but will now have to rely on wellies for the remainder of the event.

Paolo Nutini headlined the main stage yesterday evening, and was supported by the likes of My Morning Jacket, the Cribs, Seasick Steve and Rumer. Foals closed the Word Arena.

Suede will bring the festival to a close this evening, following performances throughout the day from Hurts, Glasvegas, Anna Calvi, Eels, Lykke Li and Everything Everything.

Music fans at home can wtach Latitude Festival live online, with coverage set to begin this evening.

Music fans set to watch Isle Of Wight Festival from home

Thousands of music fans who were not able to attend this year’s Isle Of Wight festival are now set to watch the event from the comfort of their own homes, with the whole festival set to be broadcast live in 3D.

The festival will take place this weekend in Newport, from 10th to 12th June, and is headlined by Kings of Leon, Foo Fighters and Kasabian. Other acts set to appear include Kaiser Chiefs, Courteeners, Band Of Horses, We Are Scientists, Pulp, Iggy and the Stooges, Seasick Steve, Beady Eye, The Script and Plan B.

The event will be the first ever UK festival broadcast live in 3D, with this year’s other major event taking place on the Isle Of Wight, Bestival, set to receive the same treatment in September.

Glasvegas confirmed for Latitude following album release

Glasvegas have been confirmed to perform at this year’s Latitude festival, following the release of their new album this week. The follow-up to their successful self-titled debut, EUPHORIC /// HEARTBREAK \\\, hit UK shelves on Monday, and is the band’s second studio album.

The band will be joined at the festival by the likes of Seasick Steve, Iron and Wine and Dog Is Dead. The National, Paolo Nutini and Suede have been confirmed to headline the event at Henham Park Estate, Suffolk from the 14th to 17th July.

My Chemical Romance, The Strokes and Muse to headline Reading and Leeds Festival

My Chemical Romance will be headlining Reading on the Friday and Leeds on Saturday, with support from 30 Seconds To Mars, The Offspring, Deftones, Rise Against, Bring Me The Horizon, The Blackout and Architects.

The Strokes will top the bill at Reading on Saturday and Leeds on Sunday, along with performances from Pulp, The National, Jimmy Eat World, Madness, Two Door Cinema Club, Seasick Steve, The Pigeon Detectives and The Joy Formidable.

Muse will headline Reading on Sunday and Friday in Leeds, with support from Elbow, Interpol, Friendly Fires, Enter Shikari, The View, Frank Turner and We Are The Ocean.

Beady Eye, Janes Addiction, 2many DJ’s, White Lies, Crystal Castles, The Streets, Noah and the Whale, Bombay Bicycle Club and Death From Above 1979 have also all been confirmed to appear across the weekend.

Reading Festival will take place at Richfield Avenue from the 26th to 28th August, whilst Leeds Festival will take place at Bramham Park across the same weekend. Weekend tickets will be priced at around £190, whilst day tickets will be priced at £80.

Eliza Doolittle and Alexandra Burke confirmed for Isle of Wight Festival 2011

‘Skinny jeans’ and ‘Rollerblades’ singer Eliza Doolittle and X factor winner Alexandra Burke have been confirmed to play the Isle of Wight festival, now into it’s 10th year. They join the line up with Diana Vickers, Imelda May, Parade and Laura Steel who will all play on the Festivals Friday Night is girls night out which started last year and will be opening up the festival in the big top again this year.Eliza and Alexandra will be headlining the festival along with Foo fighters, Pulp, Kings of Leon and Pulp. Other acts that have been confirmed so far are hotly tipped indie act The Vaccines, Seasick Steve, Boy George and Liam Gallaghers band Beady eye.

V Festival weekend tickets: Kings of Leon and Kasabian

This year’s V Festival line-up is arguably it’s best yet, with Kings of Leon and Kasabian headlining two epic days of music.

Joining Kings of Leon on Saturday 21st August at Hylands Park, and Sunday 22nd August at Weston Park will be Stereophonics, Paul Weller, Editors, The Courteeners, Passion Pit, Feeder and David Guetta.

Supporting Kasabian at Weston Park on Saturday 21st August, and Hylands Park on Sunday 22nd August will be Faithless, The Kooks, Paolo Nutini, Madness, Seasick Steve, Skunk Anansie, Pixie Lott and The Prodigy.

Acts also confirmed to appear at both venues across the weekend include Florence and The Machine, Doves, Calvin Harris, White Lies, Jamie T and Scouting for Girls.

V Festival tickets are widely available from fan-to-fan ticket exchange websites. Day tickets listed on Ticketmaster partner site, GetMeIn are currently trading between £100 and £150. Weekend tickets are available on Viagogo from prices starting at £220.

Hard Rock Calling, Download, Hop Farm: Tixdaq festival guide

Music fans need not miss out if tickets have sold out from primary vendors, as ticket exchange websites are currently listing thousands of tickets at some very reasonable prices.

Hard Rock Calling tickets have been falling in price in recent weeks, with tickets to see Paul McCartney on the final day of the festival, Sunday 27th June, now trading from £32. In fact, it is cheaper to buy Paul McCartney tickets for his Hard Rock Calling performance than to buy tickets for any of his scheduled stadium shows. With a general admission day ticket, fans will gain full entry to the festival and can also witness performances from the likes of Crowded House, Elvis Costello and Crosby, Stills and Nash.

Hard Rock Calling takes place in Hyde Park from Friday 25th June to Sunday 27th June. Hard Rock Calling tickets for Pearl Jam’s headline performance on the Friday can also be picked up for £32. Saturday tickets for Stevie Wonder’s headline appearance start at £45.

Download Festival tickets are still available, despite the event getting under way tomorrow. Download weekend tickets are currently available on the secondary ticket market for less than £150. Music fans with download tickets will have the chance to witness headline performances from AC/DC, Rage Against the Machine and Aerosmith. This year’s line up also includes Deftones, Motorhead, Slash, 30 Seconds to Mars, Bullet For My Valentine, The Blackout and A Day to Remember.

Hop Farm Festival tickets are also trading below face value. Hop Farm Festival may not be the most talked about festival of the summer, but it will this year play host to the likes of Bob Dylan, Pete Doherty, Van Morrison, Laura Marling and Seasick Steve. Glastonbury tickets may now be completely unattainable, but there are plenty of other festivals and concerts taking place this summer. Here at Tixdaq.com, we have comprised a short list of what could be considered as some great alternatives for music fans that missed out on Glastonbury tickets this year:

Isle of Wight Festival tickets:

Fans with Isle of Wight Festival tickets can expect big things this summer, with a line-up that could be considered one of the best festival bills of the summer. The event will be headlined by Jay-Z, The Strokes and Paul McCartney and there will also be appearances across the weekend from the likes of Florence and the Machine, Blondie, Calvin Harris and Biffy Clyro.

Isle of Wight festival weekend with camping tickets can be picked up on the secondary ticket market for around £185. Alternatively, weekend tickets without camping can be bought for as little as £120.

Hard Rock Calling tickets:

Although only in it’s fourth year in 2010, Hard Rock Calling is quickly establishing itself as one of the best London festivals of the year. This year, as well as his Isle of Wight appearance, Paul McCartney will be headlining, along with Pearl Jam and Stevie Wonder. Other acts include The Hives, Jamiroquai, Crowded House, Crosby, Stills and Nash and Elvis Costello.

Although weekend tickets are not available, Hard Rock Calling day tickets are currently trading for as little as £40. That is less than the average price paid to see Paul McCartney perform at his upcoming headline shows here in the UK.

Reading and Leeds Festival tickets:

Perhaps a festival aimed more at the younger generation of festival goers, the Reading and Leeds festival boasts a huge line-up that can surely compete with that of Glastonbury. Blink 182, The Libertines, Guns N’ Roses, Arcade Fire, Dizzee Rascal and Cypress Hill will all be appearing on the main stage throughout the weekend.

Expect to pay around £230 on the secondary ticket market for a weekend ticket with camping to either Reading or Leeds. Considering the face value price was around £190 when the tickets went on sale a few months ago, it is well worth spending the extra few pounds to take advantage of the fantastic line-up.

Hop Farm Festival tickets:

Hop Farm Festival may not be the most talked about festival of the summer, but it will this year play host to the likes of Bob Dylan, Pete Doherty, Van Morrison, Laura Marling and Seasick Steve. The festival takes place in Tonbridge this July and is probably the cheapest alternative to Glastonbury this summer.

Day tickets cost around £45 each, with camping tickets costing £25 on top of that.

Gorillaz tickets:

Although not exactly a festival alternative, Gorillaz will be touring the UK in September on the back of their Glastonbury headline appearance. The band will be appearing at venues such as Glasgow SECC, Birmingham NIA, Newcastle Metro Radio Arena, Manchester MEN Arena,London O2 Arena and Dublin O2 Arena.

Gorillaz support acts for the September UK tour are yet to be announced, but expect some big names after appearances from Bobby Womack, De La Soul, Shaun Ryder and Super Furry Animals songwriter Gruff Rhys at the band’s Roundhouse shows in April. Ticket prices start at around £40.

Van Morrison to headline Friday at Hop Farm Festival

Van Morrison has been confirmed as the headline act for the recently added Friday at this year’s Hop Farm Festival. The festival had recently been turned into a two day event due to the high demand for tickets, and organisers have confirmed yet another huge name, following the announcement of Bob Dylan’s appearance on the Saturday night.

Joining Van Morrison on the Friday night at the event in Tonbridge will be Seasick Steve and Laura Marling, who has recently received a huge amount of praise for her latest album.

Seasick Steve album set for Valentine’s Day

Seasick Steve is to release an alternative Valentine’s Day mini-album next month. Dedicated to his wife Elisabeth, the aptly titled ‘Songs For Elisabeth’ will be released through Atlantic Records on February 8. The album will be presented in a unique Valentine’s Day card packaging complete with a greeting written by Seasick Steve himself, and contains one new song – ‘Ready for Love.’

Seasick Steve hits the road

Seasick Steve has recently announced that he will be returning to the UK for a ten date tour this Novermber.

Seasick Steve is set to visit the UK to perform material from his forthcoming album, Man From Another Time. The album is set to be released on October 19.

The 2009 Seasick Steve tour is due to commence on November 2 at Newcastle City Hall. Seasick Steve will aslo play live at Leeds Academy (November 5), Manchester Apollo (November 9) and Cardiff Millennium Centre (November 12). The Seasick Steve tour climaxes at Brixton O2 Academy on Novermber 17.

Neil Young to join Bruce Springstein at Hard Rock Calling

It has been announced that Neil Young will headline London’s Hard Rock Calling weekend due to take place in Hyde Park this June.

Neil Young will be joined on day one the event (June 27) by support acts Fleet Foxes, Seasick Steve, The Pretenders and Relentless7.

The second date of Hard Rock calling is set to be headlined by Bruce Springstein, supported by the Dave Matthews Band and The Gaslight Anthem.

Further announcements of acts set to appear at Hard Rock Calling are expected to be announced in the near future.

While Bruce Springsteen’s day two event has already sold out, Neil Young tickets will go on sale this Friday (March 13)

Meanwhile Neil Young has already recently confirmed an appearance at this years isle of Wight festival and two other live dates in the UK. Neil Young will perform at the Nottingham Trent FM Arena on June 23 and Aberdeen Exhibition Centre the following day (June 24). Neil Young tickets are still available from £50.

V Festival Chelmsford Tickets sell out in under two hours

Tickets for the V Festival’s Chelmsford site have sold out in less than two hours this morning according to the events organisers.

Meanwhile the final few tickets available for the Weston Park site of the two site two day festival are quickly diminishing after they went on sale at 10am this morning (March 6).

Bob angus festival director is reported be delighted with the popularity of tickers; ‘We’re really pleased that despite these uncertain times V Festival has clearly been embraced once again by music fans looking for a great weekend of entertainment’

The V festival promises to be one of the standout summer festivals in this years UK live music calendar. Britpop legends Oasis and las vegas rockers The Killers are already confirmed to be headlining each night of the event. They shall be joined by the likes of Razorlight, Snow Patrol, Fatboy Slim, Keane, The Specials, Elbow, James, Lily Allen, The Enemy, Pendulum, The Script, Biffy Clyro, The Ting Tings, Paolo Nutini, MGMT, Katy Perry, The Wombats, James Morrison, Peter Doherty, The Streets, Lady GaGa, Dizzee Rascal, Happy Mondays, Seasick Steve, Ocean Colour Scene The Saturdays, British Sea Power, Taylor Swift, Alesha Dixon.

Many of the acts performing at this years V festival will also be on tour elsewhere across the UK these include

The Killers will be continuning their currrent tour tommorow night at the Newcastle Metro Radio Arena (March 7). The Killers tour comes to a close with two back to back shows at the Manchester Evening News Arena (March 9 & 10). Killers tickets are currently available.

Oasis will also be playing live in the UK this summer. The Oasis tour kicks off with three shows at Heaton Park in Manchester (June 4, 6 &7). Oasis play seven further dates including performances at Sunderland Stadium of Light (June 10), Cardiff Millennium Stadium (June 12), Murrayfield Stadium in Glasgow (June 17) and Coventry’s Ricoh Arena (July 7). The Oasis tour comes to a close in London with four shows at Wembley Stadium (July 9, 11 & 12). Loads of Oasis tickets are still available.

Razorlight have recently announced a tour beginning in Glasgow King Tuts (May 2), Buxton Opera House (May 4), Leamington Spa The Assembly (May 5), London O2 Arena (May 7) and also Manchester MEN Arena (May 9). Razorlight tickets are available.

Snow Patrol continue their current tour tonight at Liverpool Echo Arena (March 6), then onto Cardiff International Arena (March and Nottingham Trent FM Arena (March 12). Lily Allen, kicks off her UK tour in March. The Lily Allen tour starts at the Glasgow O2 Academy on March 14. Elbow willplay tonight at Edinburgh Corn Exchange (March 6) continuing onto Blackpool Empress Ballroom (March 7), Llandudno Arena (March 9), Bristol Colston Hall (March 10), Plymouth Pavilions (March, 11) Newport Centre (March, 12) and finally the elbow tour will close at London Wembley Arena (March 14). A twelve date Pete Doherty tour kicks off at Cardiff University on March 13 and concludes at the Edinburgh Picture House on March 27. V festival tickets released on sale today

Tickets for the late summer V festival are to be released on sale today Friday March 6. Scheduled to take place over two sites in Chelmsford and Staffordshire over two days (August 22 & 23), The V festival promises to be one of the standout summer festivals in this years UK live music calendar.

Britpop legends Oasis and las vegas rockers The Killers are already confirmed to be headlining each night of the event. They shall be joined by the likes of Razorlight, Snow Patrol, Fatboy Slim, Keane, The Specials, Elbow, James, Lily Allen, The Enemy, Pendulum, The Script, Biffy Clyro, The Ting Tings, Paolo Nutini, MGMT, Katy Perry, The Wombats, James Morrison, Peter Doherty, The Streets, Lady GaGa, Dizzee Rascal, Happy Mondays, Seasick Steve, Ocean Colour Scene The Saturdays, British Sea Power, Taylor Swift, Alesha Dixon.

V Festival snag Oasis and Killers as headline acts

It has been confirmed that Oasis and The Killers will headline this years V Festival, which will take place across two sites, one in Chelmsford and one in Staffordshire on August 22 and August 23.

Oasis will be adding this V festival performance to their already extensive world tour which will see them return to the UK later this year including some epic shows at the City of Manchester stadium and Wembley.

Meanwhile The killers will be adding the V festival to a series of other summer festival headline appearances at Oxegen and T in the park. This follows a February and March UK tour for the busy and increasing popular American group.
