Lady GaGa has been left furious after a number of mysterious Spanish tweets made their way onto her feed.

She posted: ‘Whoever is hacking my Twitter must answer to 10 million monsters and Twitter police. #Don’tMakeMeCallTheApostles’

Messages appeared earlier today with references to Spanish YouTube material, horoscopes, and a mention of Shakira.

The singer quickly deleted the tweets ten minutes later and reassured fans that it was back to business.

Shakira will only be playing shows in the UK for one more week this year, with five more shows before Christmas. The Colombian pop sensation will play in Manchester, Belfast, Glasgow and London, with one show also in Dublin. The concerts still have tickets available to compare and buy online.

It is not yet known who will be the opening act for Shakira during her upcoming UK tour dates.

The Columbian pop star conducted a contest back in November 2009, for aspiring artists to upload a video to her official website in order for her fans to vote on their favourite act. The winner of the competition would have then been the opening act for the Shakira ‘Sun Comes Out’ World tour.

The outcome of the competition was not revealed, and the tour is yet to feature an opening act. This of course, could change as the star makes her way to the UK and Ireland in December

Shakira Tickets are available for the UK tour, which is set to get under-way in less than a month, with her first date at the MEN Arena in Manchester on December 14th. The Columbian pop sensation, who has had hits with “Wherever, Whenever”, “Hips Don’t Lie” and most recently the FIFA World Cup 2010 theme song “Waka Waka (This Time For Africa)”, has announced four dates in the UK. These are at the MEN Arena in Manchester, Odyssey Arena in Belfast, SECC & Clyde Auditorium in Glasgow and the O2 Arena in London between the 14th and 20th of December. Sale El Sol, Shakira’s new album, can be translated from Spanish as Sunrise, and the Colombian singer’s new LP will be released in autumn 2010. Sale El Sol will provide a welcome dose of sunshine to music fans in both Spanish and English speaking countries – the album will be bilingual.

Shakira has also disclosed on her YouTube channel that the album will have a “strong rock side”, with other songs having a more Latino flavour.

The Colombian singer Shakira has had quite the eventful summer. Fresh from her brief stay in the UK – during which she gave an exhilarating Glastonbury performance and cheered on Rafael Nadal at Wimbledon, she will head to South Africa to perform the official World Cup song Waka Waka (This Time For Africa) live at the opening ceremony for the World Cup Final on July 11th 2010.

Last Friday, Shakira tickets went on sale for her performance at the London O2 Arena on December 20th 2010, with the rest of her UK tour dates going on sale at 09:00 this Friday 9th July 2010.

Shakira announces search for new talent

Shakira is set to give wannabe popstars a shot at the title – she’s launching a competition for up-and-coming musicians to open shows as part of her world tour next year.

The Colombian singer has invited aspiring singers and musicians to apply via her website, and called on fans to vote for their favourite acts.

The finalists will then be viewed by the star and her team, who will select the best musicians to open different dates on her global trek, which kicks off in 2010.

Shakira’s digital business partner Sean Wolfington tells the New York Post’s Page Six: “The artists will open for Shakira live in big cities and virtually through a video performance in smaller markets. There are a lot of talented artists, and Shakira wants to help them by giving them part of her stage.”

Shakira’s tour dates will be announced very soon. The tour will be truly global, taking in six continents over an estimated nine months. In July, one of her biggest concerts will be played in the River Plate stadium in Buenos Aires.

JLS scores chart victory, announces extra dates

JLS has just announced an extra dates on March 4th at the HMV Apollo in Hammersmith and March 5th at the Brighton Centre. Tickets will shortly be available through tixdaq.com, so check back often. These new dates come in the same week that JLS topped this week’s official UK albums charts with their self-titled debut release. The runners-up of last year’s X Factor competition beat off fierce competition to claim the coveted chart crown.

JLS, who finished in second place behind Alexandra Burke in the 2009 X Factor talent show, clinched the top spot of the official albums chart and managed to fend off the likes of Robbie Williams, Snow Patrol and Rod Stewart to secure the chart title.

It was expected that Robbie Williams would win last week’s chart race, but JLS outsold the former Take That singer and secured the number one position with their debut album.

JLS will embark on their first ever UK tour early next year. The JLS tour kicks off on January 29 at Margate Winter Gardens. The JLS tour is also due to call at a number of top UK venues including Newcastle City Hall (February 3), Manchester Apollo (February 6) and London HMV Apollo (February 13). The JLS tour finishes with two shows at Belfast Waterfront Hall on March 1 and 2, followed by the new dates on March 4th and 5th in London and Brighton. JLS tickets are still available for all of the shows up to March 2nd on the forthcoming tour.

JLS are also set to join a number of top acts including Lady Gaga, Janet Jackson, Ne-yo, Shakira, Dizzee Rascal and Lily Allen at the 2009 Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball. The Capital Radio JIngle Bell Ball takes place on December 5 and 6 at the London O2 Arena.

Dave Grohl joins Green Day in the line-up for MTV EMAs

The Foo Fighters and Shakira are the latest acts to be announced who will be performing at the MTV Europe Music Awards in Berlin on November 5.

They join Green Day and Leona Lewis who were the first names revealed on the line-up.

Green Day are nominated for Best Live Act, Best Group and Best Rock.

However, Lady Gaga and Kings of Leon top the list of nominations with five each, followed by Beyonce with four.

Green Day’s performance at the MTV EMAs will come a few days after the final date of their UK tour for the album 21st Century Breakdown.

The Green Day tour begins at the Glasgow SECC and Clyde Auditorium (October 19) and will be stopping off at other major UK arenas such as the London O2 Arena (October 23 & 24), Birmingham LG Arena (October 27 & 28), Manchester Evening News Arena (October 30 & 31) and the London Wembley Arena (November 1).

Beyonce will be sticking around Europe after the MTV EMAs as her UK tour for the album I Am Sasha Fierce begins at the Liverpool Echo Arena on November 11 before playing other major UK arenas like the Birmingham National Indoor Arena (November 12), London O2 Arena (November 14 & 16), Manchester Evening News Arena (November 18), Newcastle Metro Radio Arena (November 19) and the Nottingham Trent FM Arena (November 20).

Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl will also be in Europe this Winter as part of Them Crooked Vultures as they embark on their headline UK tour throughout December to coincide the November release of their eagerly anticipated new album.

Them Crooked Vultures tour the UK from December 10 at the Plymouth Pavilion before heading for venues including the Birmingham O2 Academy (December 14), Edinburgh Corn Exchange (December 15) and the London HMV Apollo (December 17 & 18).

As Andy Murray prepares for his semi-final clash against Andy Roddick at the Wimbledon Tennis Championships, it has recently been revealed that the British number one has been listening to Lady GaGa over the past few weeks.

Andy Murray used to be a fan of Shakira, but it seems Lady GaGa has taken over as his favourite female solo artist.

He even revealed that he went to see Lady GaGa perform in Abu Dhabi last New Year’s Eve.

Maybe listening to the songs from the Lady GaGa album The Fame has been the secret behind Andy Murray’s successful Wimbledon campaign so far.

You can still catch some Wimbledon action from the All England Club as the tournament draws to a close with the men’s final scheduled for Sunday July 5 on Centre Court.

Andy Murray will hope to become the first Briton to win Wimbledon for the first time since Fred Perry in 1936.
