Stereophonics to perform Christmas shows at Shepherds Bush Empire

Stereophonics have confirmed details of three special shows to take place in London this December. The band will take to the stage at Shepherds Bush Empire on Monday 19th, Tuesday 20th and Wednesday 21st December, in what will be a rare chance to catch them performing at an intimate venue.

The group have spent the majority of 2011 writing and recording new material, and the December concerts will give them a chance to showcase their new tracks for the first time.

Their upcoming eighth studio album will be their first release since 2009′s Keep Calm and Carry On, and their first to follow the death of ex-drummer Stuart Cable.

Stereophonics tickets will go on general sale this Friday for the following live concerts:

Oxegen Stage times announced

This year’s Oxegen set times have been revealed online.

On the main stage tonight (Friday 8th July), Stereophonics are playing at 19:05, Jay Z at 20:50 and Arcade Fire are headlining at 23:00.

While over on the Vodafone Stage, Scouting for Girls are on at 19:45, Groove Armada 21:00 and Fatboy Slim at 23:00.

Empire of the Sun are playing at 20:10, Goldfrapp at 21:40 and David Guetta at 23:15 on the Heineken Green Spheres Stage.

Paul Simon and Foo Fighters added to iTunes Festival line-up

Foo Fighters and Paul Simon have been added to the list of acts due appear at this year’s series of free shows at the iTunes festival.

Paul Simon will open the month-long festival on the 1st of July at Camden’s Roundhouse venue, while the Foo Fighters are due to appear on the 11th. They join previously confirmed acts which include Beady Eye who take to the stage on the 3rd, current UK chart topper Adele (7th) and White Lies who are booked for the 13th.

The iTunes festival was initiated in 2007 when the likes of Travis, Stereophonics and Amy Winehouse appeared. In 2008 the event was expanded and staged at the KOKO in London, before moving to its present home in 2009 when Oasis, Bloc Party and Kasabian were amongst the performers.

The band that celebrated their 20th year together last year will play in Manchester’s Acadamy on the 11th of July with 2 nights in London’s Shepards bush on the 12th and 13th. These dates are are part of their 8 gig European tour which is off the back of their highly succssesful U.S 20th anniversary tour.

Esteemed Welsh band Stereophonics have announced that they will play two special shows in October.

Kelly Jones, Richard Jones, Javier Weyler and Adam Zindani will perform two of their classic albums live at the HMV Hammersmith Apollo in London this October – as well as the B-sides associated with each LP.

V Festival tickets available as both sites prepare to open gates

There are still a limited number of V Festival tickets available on the secondary ticket market. The festival sites in Chelmsford and Shifnal will open to music fans tomorrow, and today could be the last chance to buy weekend and day tickets.

The festival will be headlined by Kasabian and Kings of Leon, with both bands recently promising big performances. The Prodigy, David Guetta, Stereophonics, Paul Weller, Editors, Faithless and The Kooks are just some of the many huge names also set to appear across the weekend.

Both V Festival Chelmsford weekend tickets and V Festival Shifnal weekend tickets start trading at £187. The cheapest Chelmsford day tickets are priced at £90 whilst the cheapest Shifnal day tickets cost £100. In total, there are just over 650 V Festival tickets still on the market.

V Festival takes place this weekend at both Chelmsford and Shifnal, and tickets are still available for the two day event to be headlined by Kings Of Leon and Kasabian. Kings Of Leon have announced that they are to preview tracks from their forthcoming album, Come Around Sundown, when they headline V Festival in both Chelmsford and Shifnal later this month. The record has been eagerly anticipated by fans ever since the success of Only By The Night, which contained singles such as Sex On Fire and Use Somebody.

The band will headline the festival along with Kasabian, with other acts such as Stereophonics, Paul Weller, The Kooks, Faithless, David Guetta, The Prodigy, Calvin Harris, Paolo Nutini and Editors also confirmed to appear across the weekend.

Beyoncé could join Jay-Z at T In The Park

After Beyoncé made a surprise cameo appearance on stage with husband Jay-Z at Coachella earlier this year, T In The Park ticket holders could be in for an unexpected treat. Beyoncé was welcomed on stage by her husband in order to perform a duet of Forever Young to delighted festival goers in California, and rumours are now circulating that the same thing could happen again.

Jay-Z is set to appear on the main stage at T In The Park on Sunday night, performing before headline act Kasabian. T In The Park is Scotland’s biggest festival and will this year play host to some of the most recognised names in music today, including Eminem, Muse, Stereophonics, Biffy Clyro, Faithless, The Black Eyed Peas, Prodigy and Madness.

Even though the festival gets under way next week, T In The Park tickets are still available. Weekend ticket prices start at £200, with day tickets currently trading from £104.

T In The Park is twinned with Oxegen Festival in Ireland in 2010 – in much the same way that Reading and Leeds Festival are. That means that the Scottish festival will share many of the same phenomenal acts as its Irish partner – Muse, Eminem, Kasabian, Faithless, Stereophonics, Jay-Z, The Black Eyed Peas and The Prodigy to name but a few.

However, T In The Park also gets plenty acts that it can call its own. Madness, The Proclaimers, Skunk Anansie and The View are examples of groups that will only be playing at T.

T In The Park tickets are on sale for £200 through Play.com for a full weekend ticket, while day tickets cost upwards of £110 from Viagogo.

Editors head the list of new names added to the T in the Park line-up this week, which also includes Frightened Rabbit and Delta Maid. The festival is only 21 days away and some of the biggest names in music have been confimed to play across the weekend.

Muse, Eminem and Kasabian will headline the event which runs from the 9th to 11th July. The Black Eyed Peas, The Prodigy, Madness, Calvin Harris, Jay-Z, Stereophonics and Faithless will also entertain the 85,000 strong crowd.

There are over 1,500 T in the Park tickets yet to be sold, with weekend ticket prices starting at £220. Day tickets can be bought for £125 with nearly 50 acts appearing on each day of the festival.

This year’s V Festival line-up is arguably it’s best yet, with Kings of Leon and Kasabian headlining two epic days of music.

Stereophonics are embarking on a list of festival dates in the British Isles that will please fans who were unable to get their hands on a ticket to any of their arena shows in March.

Stereophonics warm up by playing the first ever concert at the new Cardiff City Stadium on Saturday but there are still over 6ooo tickets available for the rest of their summer excursions.

Stereophonics tickets are still availeble for that date and for their subsequent appearances at Oxegen Festival, T-In The Park and V Festival.

Tickets begin at £80 to see the Welsh rockers at V Festival or Oxegen but despite the expensive looking price tag it’s worth remembering that they will be just one of a host of acts and entertainers performing at each festival.

Stereophonics Cardiff tickets trading below face value

Stereophonics tickets for their upcoming show at Cardiff City Stadium can currently be bought on the secondary ticket market at below face value. Stereophonics will perform the homecoming show on Saturday 5th June 2010 and will be supported by Doves and Kids In Glass Houses.

General admission tickets for the gig originally cost around £35 from primary ticket vendors when going on sale, but are now trading at between £23 and £200 on the secondary ticket market.

There are over 200 tickets yet to be sold, 35 of which are available below face value.

Stereophonics kick off their 2010 UK tour in just under a week and we can confirm that hundreds of tickets are still available. The Welsh rockers are to be supported by Glasgow pop-rock band Hip Parade for this tour of the UK, which follows their hugely-successful Down Under tour.

Eninem and Muse confirmed for T in the Park 2010

Eminem, Muse and Kasabian are set to headline this year’s T in the Park festival. The official line-up has just been revealed and it’s looking like a mouthwatering one, with the likes of Jay-Z, Florence & The Machine and Vampire Weekend also on the bill. Stereophonics’ support act announced

Glasgow pop-rock band Hip Parade have been announced as the support act for Stereophonics’ upcoming UK arena tour. The tour, which incudes a couple of nights at the SECC as well as London’s Wembley Arena, continues a great start to 2010 for Hip Parade, having recorded their debut EP in January with Stereophonics’ guitarist Adam Zindani as producer.

Stereophonics set to play massive Cardiff show

The Stereophonics have recently announced that they will play live at the new Cardiff City Stadium this summer.

The Stereophonics concert is set to take place on June 5 at the newly-built venue and is expected to sell out fast.

Stereophonics extend 2010 tour

Stereophonics have announced plans to add further dates to their forthcoming UK tour.

The Welsh band are set to kick off their UK arena tour in March, but Stereophonics have just confirmed that they will also be playing two smaller shows in January. Kelly Jones and co. will perform at the Portsmouth Guildhall on January 25 and the Oasis Leisure Centre in Swindon on January 26.

The Stereophonics arena tour begins on March 1 at Newcastle Metro Radio Arena. The tour also visits top venues including Glasgow SECC, Birmingham NIA and MEN Arena. The Stereophonics tour draws to a close on March 10 at the O2 Arena, London.

Stereophonics tickets are available for all of the arena shows as well as the shows in Portsmouth and Swindon.

Kelly Jones backs Rage Against the Machine chart bid

Kelly Jones has been the latest artist to speak out about the Rage Against the Machine vs X Factor chart battle. The Stereophonics frontman said he understood X Factor and its mass appeal, but did not consider it music in the same way that he does the Rage Against Machine.

This year’s X Factor winner. Joe McElderry, will go head-to-head with Rage Against the Machine for the UK Christmas number one title.

The Noisettes announce dates for UK tour

The Noisettes are going to embark on a UK tour after the release of their second album Wild Young Hearts, which reached number seven in the UK charts earlier this year.

It seems that the popularity of the Noisettes has stemmed from the single Don’t Upset The Rhythm (Go Baby Go), which featured on an advert for Mazda.

The song became so popular that it reached number two in the UK singles chart, and is their best selling single to date.

The Noisettes tour starts at the Glasgow Garage on October 11 and will stop off at the Manchester Ritz Ballroom (October 20), Oxford O2 Academy (October 22) and the Birmingham O2 Academy (October 23) before closing at the London O2 Shepherds Bush Empire (October 26).

White Lies, Maximo Park, and The View have been added to this years Isle of Wight festival.

The hugely popular event which is set to take place between 12 & 14 at Seaclose Park will now also include appearances from The Rifles, The Zombies and Paolo Nutini as well as The Australian Pink Floyd Show and Ultravox who will also perform at the festival.

The Pixies will be kicking off the festival with a rare appearance having only performed intermittently since their 2005 headline shows at Reading and Leeds festivals. Meanwhile Neil Young will bring the festival to a close on the Sunday (June 14). Tickets for the 2009 Isle of Wight Festival are still available from £160.

Other acts including The Prodigy, Basement Jaxx, Stereophonics and Razorlight are among the band’s performing at this year’s Isle Of Wight Festival.

It has recently been confirmed that Stereophonics and Razorlight will both perform on the Saturday (June 13) at the Isle Of Wight festival.

The 2009 Isle of Wight Festival takes place between June 12 and 14 at Seaclose Park. The festival is set to be one of the events of the summer and will feature performances from the likes of The Prodigy, Basement Jaxx and Tings Tings. 2009 Isle of Wight Festival tickets are still available with prices from £160.

A number of the 2009 Isle of Wight Festival headline acts will be on the road in the UK before the festival takes place.

The Stereophonics have been confirmed as one of the acts to play the 2009 Teenage Cancer Trust Concerts in March. Stereophonics will perform at the London Royal Albert Hall on March 26 and Stereophonics tickets are still available.

The Prodigy embark on their ten date UK tour in April. Teenage Cancer Trust add Kasabian and Stereophonics to line up

It has recently been confirmed that Kasabian, Sterephonics and Antony and the Johnsons have been announced as the headline acts for the 2009 Teenage Cancer Trust gigs.

The annual series of charity concerts will take place at the Royal Albert Hall this March.

Other artists set to feature on this year’s line up include Florence and the Machine. The shows will also feature comedy from Gavin and Stacey stars James Corden and Matt Horne.

Take That Victorious in Circus Battle

It had been anticipated by many that Take That would take the top spot, but the news was only confirmed last night. Take That’s latest record, The Circus, comfortably beat Britney Spears to notch up yet another number one album title. Take That knocked The Killers from their perch as they won the race to the top of the album chart. The second highest new entry to the official UK albums chart was Britney Spears’ new album, Circus. Other artists making up this week’s top ten include Kings of Leon, Stereophonics and Girls Aloud. Take That are also riding high in the singles charts at number two behind Leona Lewis who had the highest new entry of the week with her cover of Run by Snow Patrol.

The Take That tour is set to kick off in June 2009. Take That tickets can be picked up from as little as £44. The first Take That concert at MEN Arena is on 5th June 2009 and comes to a close at Wembley Arena on July 5th. There will be eight Britney Spears concerts at the O2 in London in 2009 . The first concert takes place on 3rd June and there are hundreds of Britney Spears tickets available with prices from £49. Coldplay knock Kings off their throne

This week, Coldplay have outsold their rivals and are sitting pretty atop the official UK Live Entertainment top twenty compiled by Tixdaq.. Previous chart toppers, Kings of Leon, were knocked off the top spot as more Coldplay tickets were sold in the last seven days than any other artist. Both Coldplay and Kings of Leon tours are trekking around the UK with little to separate them. Third place in the chart is a non-mover with the Take That tour being followed closely by Girls Aloud and The Killers to complete the top 5 UK concerts.

The rest of the top 10 sees support for rock concerts as the Oasis tour 2009, Stereophonics, Kooks and the Slipknot residency all feature in the top 10.

Tickets to see Chris Brown, Duffy, Barry Manilow and The Prodigy proved to be hot sellers and all climbed in the second half of the top 20. Meanwhile, Metallica, Cliff Richard and Snow Patrol concert tickets are all losing ground on their chart rivals. Take That are a non-mover as they hold on to the top spot for the third week running. Tickets to see the UK’s favourite are still selling fast for their 2009 summer tour. They will be stopping off in cities including Cardiff, Glasgow, Manchester and London on their 15 night haul. Hundreds of tickets are still available for all of the shows with prices starting at £53.99.

Number 2 is another non-mover as Pink proves her popularity with UK fans. Her 17 date tour kicks off next April. Tickets are available from £58. Elsewhere in the top 10, The Killers, Kings of Leon and Coldplay are all climbing up the chart. This week’s losers feature Oasis and Metallica.

This week’s highest new entry is Girls Aloud. The Reality TV stars recently announced their 2009 Arena Tour and tickets are selling fast. The mammouth outing kicks off in April and includes stops in Belfast, Nottingham and Birmingham. Tickets can be picked up for less than £35 to see Cheryl in her hometown. Il Divo knock Girls Aloud with Chart Hat-Trick

Last Sunday, Il Divo’s latest record, The Promise, clinched the top spot in the Official UK album charts. The European quartet knocked Girls Aloud from their perch and claimed their third consecutive chart title.

As well as releasing their album last week, the classical four-piece also announced a 2009 UK Arena tour. The group will play a series of dates between February and April next year. Tickets are available with prices from £30.

Girls Aloud also confirmed their 2009 tour last week. The reality T.V stars will be playing 21 nights throughout spring 2009. The mammoth tour begins in Belfast on 29th April and climaxes at London’s Wembley Arena on the 26th May. Tickets are available for every night with prices ranging from £30 to well over £200.

Elsewhere in the album charts, The Stereophonics claimed the second highest new-entry position at Number Two with their greatest hits release, Decade in the Sun. The Welsh rockers are due to embark on their UK Arena Tour later this month. Kelly Jones and friends kick-off their 15 night jaunt on the 28th November in Bristol. V Festival declared success – Carling weekend set to follow suit

This years sold-out event was attended by over 150,000 people despite fears of bad weather, headliner cancellations and online ticket scams. Demand for the event was strong with many fans paying over twice face value in a last-minute scramble to secure tickets.

This year’s V Festival line-up featured some of the biggest hitters in contemporary popular music. Sets from the likes of Stereophonics, The Verve, Kaiser Chiefs and Amy Winehouse amongst others ensured that the event was a huge success.

Only days after their show at Brixton Academy, The Kings Of Leon proved why they are one of Britain’s best loved American exports. The band recently announced the dates for their 12 night UK tour which kicks off in Brighton on the 1st December. The band has sold out the majority of these dates and tickets for the London shows are selling for as much as £200 on ticket trading sites.

As Britain’s August festival fever continues, ticket brokers and opportunists are cashing in on strong last minute demand for the Carling Reading and Leeds Festivals selling tickets for close to £500 for a single weekend camping ticket, originally purchased for £155.
