The interesting feature of this setlist is the way in which it largely ignores material from the first record but instead focuses on the their second album (Wall of Arms) and the new album.

The Maccabees’ current mini tour will be followed by what is sure to be a triumphant performance at this year’s Bestival.

This coming weekend (July 8th-10th) sees T In The Park descend into Balado, Scotland. Famous for its charged atmosphere and unique Scottish vibe, the three-day event once again has a world-class line-up. Latitude Festival arrives in Suffolk on July 15th, for three days of incredible music in one of the most relaxed festivals in the country. The weekend will see headline performances from The National (Friday 15th), Paolo Nutini (Saturday 16th) and Suede (Sunday 17th). Also appearing on the Obelisk Arena are Bright Eyes, Paloma Faith, The Cribs, My Morning Jacket, Glasvegas and Hurts. Headlining The Word Arena are Bombay Bicycle Club (15th), Foals (16th) and Eels (17th), with The Vaccines, Echo & The Bunnymen and Lykke Li also appearing.

On August 20th, V Festival kicks off in Chelmsford (Hylands Park) and Staffordshire (Weston Park). It has recently been revealed that Little Boots and The Maccabees will join the list of top acts set to perform at this year’s Oxegen Festival which is set to take place at Punchestown Racecourse this summer (July 10-12)

Bands including The Killers, Snow Patrol, Kings of Leon and Blur have already been confirmed as the headline acts for the 2009 Oxegen Festival.

Fans will be glad to learn that some of this year’s Oxegen Festival headline acts will also be on tour in the UK this summer.

Blur kick off their 2009 tour at Southend-on-Sea Cliffs Pavilion on June 24. The 2009 Blur tour also calls at Newcastle O2 Academy (June 25) and Manchester Evening News Arena (June 26). The Blur tour climaxes at London Hyde Park with two massive shows (July 2 & 3). Meanwhile, Kings of Leon perform five huge arena concerts in London and Manchester. The Kings of Leon tour includes three shows at London O2 Arena (June 15,16 & 30) and two performances at Manchester Evening News Arena. (June 22 & 23).
