The inital line-up for this years Underage Festival has today been announced. The Event, which is aimed at young people aged between 13 – 17 has confirmed a number a top acts that will grace the stage this coming August.

Bombay Bicycle Club to accompany new album release with game

It has been revealed today that indie rockers Bombay Bicycle Club will accompany the release of their third record with an online game for fans.

A Different Kind of Fix will be their third record in three years and now it will have a playable Pac Man esque game to promote its release. The game is available via their Facebook page and will allow users to play as the band members’ heads and they will have to eat pills to unlock different sections of the music.

This rather strange promotion technique is being designed to increase publicity of the new record, but with their glowing career to date the band hardly need any help promoting themselves. Earlier this year they performed a triumphant set at Glastonbury and headlined Underage Festival. They will also be heading out on an extensive tour of the UK this Autumn.

Bombay Bicycle Club headlined this year’s Underage Festival with a very memorable set which included tracks from all three of their records (see set list below). The performance marked a pivotal stage in the career of the band in which they have progressed to an act who can headline festivals.

The stage times for this weekend’s Underage Festival have been revealed, with Bombay Bicycle Club set to headline the Main Stage. The event will take place exclusively for people under the age of 18 at Victoria Park in London on Friday 5th August. Jannelle Monae, Devlin, Miles Kane, Labrinth and Viva Brother have all been confirmed for the one-day festival.

Underage Festival has developed well over the last few year and this August it is back again and it has arguably the best lineup of its young history thus far.

Playing at this year’s Underage Festival are acts including Bombay Bicycle Club, Devlin, The Chapman Family and Crystal Fighters. With such a list of exciting new bands, this year will sure to be another succes for the festival designed solely for under 18s and over 14s.

It all takes place on August 5th at London’s Victoria Park and will sure to entertain the teenage audience.

Underage Festival adds Pulled Apart By Horses, Johnny Flynn and Ms Dynamite

New additions announced by Underage Festival today include Pulled Apart By Horses, Ms Dynamite and Johnny Flynn.

The one-day festival takes place on August 5th in London’s Victoria park. Aimed exclusively at under 18s, this year will see the headline slot occupied by Bombay Bicycle Club. Also announced to appear are Fixers, Alex Winston and Yasmin, who join bands including Viva Brother, Spark and The Midnight Beast.

Miles Kane added to Underage festival bill

Miles Kane has been added to the line up for this year’s instalment of Underage.

Underage has been going from strength to strength for five years. Founded out of frustration with the established festival scene, the one day London event bans anyone over the age of 17 from setting foot in its boundaries.

Returning for a bumper addition, the organisers of Underage are working hard to make this summer’s instalment extra special. The line up is always expanding, with Miles Kane set to perform in Victoria Park.

The Liverpool songwriter is set to release his much anticipated solo album this summer, after surprising fans with a series of singles. ‘Inhaler’ may have half-inched a guitar line from The Music Machine, but it’s energy and sheer style is a blast of fresh air.

The bill is already bristling with talent. Underage has confirmed appearances from the likes of American soul sensation Janelle Monae, fast rising Slough band Brother and Bombay Bicycle Club.

Tinie Tempah announces UK live dates

Grime MC Tinie Tempah has announced two live dates after soaring to the UK Singles Chart summit at the weekend with his single Pass Out. The South London rapper will play the weekly night Together At The Coronet this Friday, along with brilliant DJ Mylo.

He will also be one of the acts at Underage Festival this summer. Tinie Tempah will play the event at London’s Victoria Park on August 1st 2010.

Underage Festival is the only festival in the UK that caters exclusively for young people, and today revealed that 2010′s lineup is even better than previous years’. The event, to be held at Victoria Park in London on August 1st 2010, welcomes music fans solely between the ages of 14 and 18. It will be headlined by some of 2009′s fastest rising stars: Ellie Goulding, M.I.A., and Tinchy Stryder, and will also feature performances from New Young Pony Club, Tinie Tempah and Gold Panda.
