Th pop superstar is currently touring her latest album, Loud, and by the end of December will have performed no less than eleven shows at London’s O2 Arena this year, including her headline slot at the Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball. The Wireless Festival concert is her first confirmed UK appearance of 2012, with the news coming as she prepares release her sixth studio album, Talk That Talk, later this month.

Earlier this year, the Barclaycard Wireless Festival was headlined by the Black Eyed Peas, Chemical Brothers and Pulp.

Rihanna tickets are on sale now for the singer’s remaining UK shows of 2011. Tickets to next year’s Wireless Festival will go on sale on Friday 18th November.

The Manchester band are the first confirmed headliner for next year’s Benicassim, which is due to take place from July 12th to 15th. They are also the first act confirmed for Scotland’s T In The Park, which takes place from July 6th to 8th.

The festival appearances will form part of the band’s world tour, with even more UK dates expected to be announced in the coming months.

Stone Roses tickets for the band’s Heaton Park shows on the 29th June, 30th June and 1st July, as well as their Benicassim appearance are on sale now. Tickets for next year’s T in the Park festival will go on sale on 2nd December.

Coldplay entered the UK album chart at number one last week, with their latest record Mylo Xyloto. The success means that all five of Coldplay’s albums – including previous efforts Parachutes, A Rush Of Blood To The Head, X&Y and Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends – have reached number one in the UK charts.

Previous to its release, the band announced a short arena tour, and are set to perform three shows in December. The band will take to the stage at Glasgow SECC on Saturday 3rd December and Manchester MEN Arena on Sunday 4th, before their final show of the year at the O2 Arena.

The group delighted thousands of fans this summer, with headline performances at Glastonbury, T In The Park and Oxegen festivals, playing new material as well as a number of greatest hits, including songs such as Yellow, The Scientist and Fix You.

Doctor Dee, an opera created by Gorillaz and Blur star Albarn, documents the life of John Dee, the 16th century astronomer and consultant to Queen Elizabeth I. The production is directed by Rufus Norris.

The show received a number of positive reviews after its first showings this year.

Doctor Dee tickets are set to go on sale this Friday for the following performances at London Coliseum:

The band, who reformed last week after a 15-year hiatus, are rumoured to begin the jaunt at Liverpool’s Echo Arena on July 5th before going on to perform in London, Glasgow, and Belfast.

They are also rumoured to be playing the iTunes Festival, and a huge outdoor show at Slane Castle in Ireland. The dates are yet to be officially confirmed.

The publication claims that the band’s festival dates will coincide with their world tour plans and will give UK fans another opportunity to catch them performing their classic songs, as well as new material.

Asked during yesterday’s reunion press conference about the possibility of festival sets, drummer Reni stated, “We can’t say at the moment,” whilst frontman Ian Brown added, “They’re just rumours. There might be.”

Stone Roses tickets for the band’s two homecoming shows at Heaton Park in Manchester are set to go on sale this Friday, 21st October at 9.30am.

The group famously disbanded in 1996, after a number of legal issues and internal rows. Guitarist John Squire quit in 1995 and although the band carried on without him, they split after a disastrous performance at Reading Festival in 1996. The group released two albums throughout their existence, including their influential debut back in 1989 which included hits such as I Wanna Be Adored and Fools Gold.

Lead singer Ian Brown went on to forge a successful solo career, but the band are now set to appear in their original form for the first time in over 15 years.

Stone Roses tickets will go on sale this Friday, 21st October at 9.30am.

The show will take place on the 26th October, just two days after the release of the album.

Speaking about the show, the band’s frontman Chris Martin stated, “Until we can come to a video as good as Single Ladies by Beyonce, we have to rely on just the meat and vegetables of playing songs live, and this is just a nice way of doing it for a few more people at once.”

The band are set to perform three UK shows this December, following a summer of successful headline festival appearances.

The band announced live shows in Glasgow, Manchester and London earlier this week, to coincide with the release of their latest studio album.

After a summer of festival appearances across the UK in 2011, the headline concerts were expected to be extremely popular. The event is due to get underway this Thursday, 8th September, with performances from the likes of Pendulum, Bjork, The Cure, Primal Scream, PJ Harvey and Brian Wilson set top take place across the weekend.

Bad weather has hit the festival in previous years, most notably in 2009, but this has never prevented fans from enjoying the array of entertainment on offer.

The band are making huge waves in the British rock scene and since the departure of Oasis many regard them as being the biggest indie rock band in the UK at the moment. Their new record Velociraptor will be released on September 19th and sees the band progress into a different, more electronic direction. They performed at last weekend’s Reading and Leeds Festivals but it appears that their fans may have to wait quite some time before they will get the chance to see them again. In an interview with Gigwise the band’s drummer Sam Foragarino stated, “We need a big break. Interpol needs it. We need to recoup and go on a proper hiatus,” he said. “Who knows what is ahead for the band, I think we’re all just looking forward to relaxing for a while and catching up with our own things.”

Earlier this year the band released their self-titled album which was met with a warm critical reception. Fans remain hopeful that Interpol will tour again soon.

Speaking to BBC 6 Music, the former Oasis front man responded to a question of when Beady Eye will next be in the studio, “February or the end of January we will be in (the studio) doing our album. We’ve got enough material for another record and that is what we shall do, whether people like it or not.”

These rather robust sentiments are not atypical of Liam Gallagher, and recently he has been embroiled in a lawsuit with his brother Noel over allegations Liam did not play V Festival because he was hungover. Liam has subsequently dropped the law suit but their relationship remains very much on the rocks.

The festival will take place on August 18th and August 19th 2012, at Weston Park Staffordshire and Hylands Park Chelmsford. With Glastonbury taking a year off, V Festival tickets are expected to be in high demand when they go on general sale early next year, so fans are encouraged to get them now.

Guitarist Jenny Lee Lindberg told that work will begin in earnest once their touring commitments are finished. She commented, “oftentimes we’ll just jam and free-flow onstage, so maybe a new song will happen that way. It’s coming. This is our last British show, we’ve got Electric Picnic in Ireland, then a show in Seattle, then we’re home.”

Fans are very excited to see which direction Warpaint will head in next and it seems that this band are really starting to make waves into commercial success in the UK at the moment.

Following their co-headline slot with Pulp at last weekend’s Reading and Leeds Festivals, the band’s bassist Nikolai Fraiture told the Daily Star;

“Some people are bringing in stuff, some are not. There aren’t so many finished songs but we have many parts. We try putting them together like puzzles and making them stick.”

He went on to add, “What we do on our own is not the same as what we do together. We’re in a good place as a band right now. I feel like I’m at therapy in a marriage.”

This news is certainly an improvement from the band’s previous poor relations which were apparently eminent during the recording of Angles. The Strokes do not currently have any tours planned but fans are hopeful they will be back on the road sooner rather than later.

The band played two magnificent sets at Reading and Leeds Festivals last weekend and now it appears that a new album could be soon around the corner. In an interview with Gigwise, lead singer Gerard Way commented:

“We’re writing music every day at the moment, which was something that wasn’t happening on ‘Black Parade’.” He also went on to comment about the current state of the band, “Now it’s like this is what I do and I want to do this for the rest of my life. Everybody’s so happy.”

My Chemical Romance finished off their tour at Reading and Leeds, but it is hoped they will announce further shows in the near future.

Guitarist Freddie Cowan commented, “We don’t generally write on the road. We’ve got some time off coming up. But I couldn’t even tell you about the new album because we haven’t thought about it yet.” However Bassist Arni Hjörvar added: “We haven’t thought about it but it’s on our minds. We’re aware that the normal way to do it is to release another record at some point. And that that will involve some writing.”

The band released their debut album, What Did You Expect From The Vaccines?” in March of this year but it seems that the sequel may be a while off yet. The band will be heading out on tour in support of Arctic Monkeys this Autumn.

Her personal trainer Ary Nunez told Star Magazine that, “Her comfort food is chocolate ice cream. She’s not that indulgent or anything, but she will be like, ‘I need my quota’. I don’t stop her ‘ that’d be asking for trouble.”

3. The Strokes- Hard To Explain- The Strokes delivered their ambivalent indie rock to Reading and Leeds with great aplomb. They sent the crowds into rapturous frenzy and must be regarded as one of the highlights of Reading and Leeds 2011. Here is Hard to Explain.

2. Muse- Intro and New Born- Muse wowed fans during their headline performances at Reading and Leeds. They had an amazing stage which threw out fire at points and added to their very special performance. Have a look at their opening number below.

1. Pulp- Disco 2000- Pulp continued their much acclaimed come back Summer with two stunning sets at Reading and Leeds Festivals. They induced two of the biggest sing alongs throughout the weekend and Disco 2000 is our number 1 highlight.

A Different Kind of Fix will be their third record in three years and now it will have a playable Pac Man esque game to promote its release. The game is available via their Facebook page and will allow users to play as the band members’ heads and they will have to eat pills to unlock different sections of the music.

This rather strange promotion technique is being designed to increase publicity of the new record, but with their glowing career to date the band hardly need any help promoting themselves. Earlier this year they performed a triumphant set at Glastonbury and headlined Underage Festival. They will also be heading out on an extensive tour of the UK this Autumn.

The tragedy at Pukkelpop festival resulted in a number of stages collapsing in very strong winds and torrential rain, leaving five dead and hundreds injured. In an interview with BBC Newsbeat, Benn said of Pukkelpop: “If we had something similar I know what actions I would take in order to make sure people were safe. I have to table top exercises with the emergency services about the actions I would take in the event of all of those things. Believe me, there is no scenario of an eventuality that I have not looked at, including freak storms. I know how I would deal with it to ensure peoples’ safety. The level of effort over safety is immense. It’s the thing which keeps me awake at night.”

Last time they performed at the festivals (in 2006) they were bottled off stage so there is evidently a certain degree of anxiety for them going in to the weekend. The lead singer Gerard Way told the Daily Star, “We haven’t felt like we’ve had anything to prove in a long time, so maybe this is the right time to do that.”

He went on to add, “We’re closing a festival where not everyone has approved of us in the past.” The comments surely indicate that they are saving something special for Reading and Leeds Festivals. Acts also on the bill include Muse, The Strokes and The Streets.

Ashes is being directed by Mat Whitecross and will star Jim Sturgess and Ray Winstone. Jim Sturgess is also currently starring in One Day, and he told BBC Newsbeat about Coldplay’s involvement in Ashes: “It was amazing those guys helped us out with that film. I’m really proud of the film.”

Despite headlining this year’s Sonisphere Festival, Slipknot have not played many live shows since the death of bassist Paul Gray last year, so the news that they will tour once more will certainly please fans.

Slipknot will be performing at next month’s Rock in Rio Festival.

The performance followed on from his triumphant headline slot at V Festival. The show in Bangor marked the end of Eminem UK’s dates but fans are hopeful he will return soon.

The musical is about the life of the rapper and was produced by Damien Higginbotham and Phillip Roser and Higginbotham told the L.A times, “I’m a big Kanye fan. I thought that a musical in his honour would be a lot of fun to put on. I really just meant the show to be something fun for my friends to see and I’m pretty excited by all the attention it’s been getting.”

The musical will run from September 5th to 7th at the University of Sydeny’s Cellar Theatre. Kanye West himself will be performing at Austin’s City Limits Festival next month.

The Big Reunion is held over two weekends in November, and is the UK’s biggest indoor music event in winter. This year’s festival, the eleventh, takes place in Butlins, Skegness, on November 18th-20th and November 25th-27th. A great line-up includes headliners The Streets (performing one of their final gigs), and Example, with Judge Jules, Kissy Sell Out, Devlin, Ironik and Westwood all set to perform.

Professor Green is set to headline the Twice As Nice stage on weekend two. The show comes part way through his extensive UK tour, which kicks off on November 2nd at the Brighton Dome.

The festival will take place at Weston Park, Staffordshire and Hylands Park, Chelmsford on August 18th and 19th 2012. This year’s festival featured headliners Eminem and Arctic Monkeys, as well as great performances from Rihanna, Plan B, Pendulum, Dizzee Rascal and more. Next year’s is sure to be as incredible.

Liam, frontman of Beady Eye, lodged the legal complaint after Noel had said he cancelled their Chelmsford V Festival appearance because Liam was hungover. However, in a live webchat to his fans this week, Noel said: “I’d just like to say that if he gets offended by my opinions on such things then I apologise.”

In the same webchat, Noel added more shows to his October tour, his first with his new outfit Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds.

It will be their first album since 2009′s The Liberty of Norton Folgate, and their eleventh record overall. Speaking to Digital Spy, Suggs said: “It’ll definitely come out next year – hopefully we’ll finish it this year. We were hoping to get it done but then we decided to postpone the whole thing because we weren’t completely satisfied with what we’ve done so far.”

He continued: “We’re working on it and I think that’s the thing… when you’re young you have all the time in the world. We don’t spend 24 hours a day working on music like we used to when we were younger, so you have to do it in batches – sporadic, intense.”

The band are set to perform at this weekend’s Leeds and Reading Festivals, as well as September’s Ultrasound Festival and November’s House Of Fun Weekender.

The duo will record the lead single for Cher’s forthcoming album and the song will be entitled The Greatest Thing. In a recent interview with MTV, Lady Gaga spoke of her work with Cher:

“I always write these concept records, and it just didn’t fit in. But it’s always been, like, this big, massive, beautiful hit record and everyone always says, ‘Why don’t you put that on your album?’ And I said, ‘I don’t know, it just doesn’t fit with everything else.”

She added: “Cher heard the song and loved it and wanted to do it together. And I said, ‘F**k yeah, it’s Cher!”

Syl Johnson’s vocals were used on the track The Joy, but a legal team representing Johnson is claiming that the use of this material was not authorised. Consequently Johnson is likely to file a law suit against the duo as he indicates in his blog.

Previously the band indicated that their current tour could be their last, and this was further suggested when Jared Leto (leadsinger) spoke to Kerrang this week.

He told the magazine, “A lot of artists peak or get burned out. A lot of times they stop trying and those are all dangers. It took two years to make ‘This Is War’. Touring it has been another two years. Do I have that in me again? I don’t know.”

The band will be performing at this weekend’s Reading and Leeds Festivals along with the likes of My Chemical Romance and Muse.

Pete Doherty will headline the Festival Republic Stage on the Friday night at Leeds and the Sunday night at Reading. Whilst on the Radio 1/NME Stage The Streets will be playing their last ever shows at Leeds on the Friday night and Reading on the Sunday night.

The National will be performing at this weekend’s Reading and Leeds Festivals alongside the likes of Pulp, The Streets and Muse.

Now in an interview with the NME, the band have strongly hinted that they will also get out some of their biggest hits during the encore. The band’s drummer Dom Howard said, “We’ll probably just do the old cheap encore and play a few hits!” This news will surely excite fans who are desperate to hear them play songs such as Time Is Running Out and Hysteria as well as the classics on Origins of Symmetry. However it remains to be seen which hits they will be bring out.

Muse have also revealed that they intend to get back in the studio following their performances at Reading and Leeds Festivals this weekend.
