isPermaLink="false">http://www.tixdaq.com/news/?p=20678</guid> <description><![CDATA[Sheeran continues to achieve great mainstream success ]]></description> <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Few artists, arguably since the Arctic Monkeys, have attained such widespread mainstream attention pre-album release than Ed Sheeran has over the past few weeks and months.</p><p>Sheeran has had a remarkable career so far, playing thousands of tiny shows and coach surfing his way to success. From these all too humble beginnings he has now broken through with the release of The A Team, which achieved unprecedented heights in the charts for such a newcomer.</p><p>However, it seems that Sheeran is bound for further dimensions of greatness as his EP of collaborations has now reached number 2 in the I Tunes album chart and is chasing down Rihanna&#8217;s album, Loud, which currently lies at number 1.</p><p>The EP sees Sheeran combine forces with the likes of Devlin and Wiley, bringing together his brand of hip-hop and folk with these urban acts to great effect.</p><p>Sheeran has just signed with the huge record label, Atlantic and is now off on tour throughout the Summer, playing at such venues as the O2 Academy Oxford, O2 Shepherds Bush Empire and Rock City Nottingham.</p><p><a
