Chris Martin, Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman and Will Champion have been working on a new Coldplay album, and fans at Glastonbury will be excited to hear the new material live in concert.

This year’s Glastonbury Festival will take place between Wednesday June 22nd – Sunday June 26th 2011 at Worthy Farm in Somerset.

Though Glastonbury 2011 is sold out, Festival tickets for the rest of the big events of 2011 are still on sale, and there is an event to cater for everyone.

It has prompted rumours to surface about UK tour dates to follow either in October, November or December, as the group make a comeback with their forthcoming fifth album, which is yet to be given a release date.

Nevertheless, when that happens the act will no doubt support it with a series of live concerts, and as soon as Coldplay tickets are on sale they will be available to compare and buy.

The concert is set to take place after the 2010 BRIT Awards on February , and Tixdaq can confirm that Kasabian and Calvin Harris will be joining La Roux as well as some very special guests at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire following the BRIT Awards ceremony.

The event has been set by the War Child  charity for the second year running. Last year’s post-BRIT Awards concert featrued performances from The Killers, Coldplay and Gary Barlow. War Child will be receiving support from O2 who sponsor the venue. All of the money raised will go towards helping children living in war zones across the globe.

The intimate gig will coincide with the release of the new album from Jay-Z called The Blueprint 3, available from September 14.

The Blueprint 3 was produced by Kanye West, who features on the new Jay-Z single Run This Town with Rihanna and is available now.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that Jay-Z is excited by the fact that his new album has been leaked online.

Rather than discussing the potential consequences of people already hearing his eagerly anticipated new album before its official release, Jay-Z instead talked about how he might be the most bootlegged artist in history but was proud of his work so listeners should enjoy it.

Jay-Z also claimed that he had been getting feedback from those who had already listened to it.

Elsewhere, Jay-Z went to visit Africa to check up on his Water For Life campaign, and has since described how rappers should not talk about their gangster backgrounds because their lives are much easier compared to those living in Africa.

Jay-Z believes that those really living in the hood are those who have to wake up in the morning to get water for the family, and living with no bathroom in their house.

Jay-Z said that seeing Africa in this way puts life into perspective, and that using his celebrity status to bring awareness to this was something he felt good about.

It has been announced that Jay-Z will perform a special show to mark the eighth anniversary of the terrorist tragedy that hit New York city on the world famous Twin Towers on September 11.

The special gig is to be broadcast live on Fuse TV with tickets to attend costing in the region of $599. However, the date in which tickets will go on sale are yet to be revealed.

September 11 is also the date when Jay-Z releases his new album The Blueprint 3, which is released on September 14 in the UK.

Proceeds from the tribute show, which will take place at Madison Square Gardens, will go to the New York Police and the Fire Widows’ and Children’s Benefit Fund.

Jay-Z has spoken of the upcoming gig as encompassing the true spirit of New York City. Jay-Z has also spoken of his honour towards the victims’ families and praised the city’s resilience as people continue to look after their own.

The day after the New York tribute concert, Jay-Z is set to take the stage once again, but this time to support Coldplay in the UK.

Coldplay and Jay-Z will play three major shows in September, starting with a gig in the Manchester Lancashire County Cricket Ground on September 12.

Jay-Z, who is currently writing a book, will be performing three UK shows with Coldplay in September

It seems that rather than focusing on rehearsals and other touring duties, Jay-Z and Coldplay have been pursuing other non-musical interests in the run-up to their upcoming shows in the UK.

Details of a new autobiography by Jay-Z have been revealed, and surprisingly he is to open up about his wedding and marriage to fellow American artist Beyonce.

The couple have always kept their relationship private but a source claims Jay-Z will write about everything from his days as a drug dealer to his wedding day, and how he writes his lyrics and records his songs.

No title or release date for the book has been announced, though a spokesperson did confirm that Jay-Z was writing a book and fans can expect his upcoming new album titled The Blueprint Volume 3, which is released on September 11.

Meanwhile, Coldplay will be making a cameo appearance on The Simpsons, where frontman Chris Martin will play himself and the band performs a private show for Bart and Homer after Homer wins the lottery, but then the show has to stop when Bart goes to the bathroom.

Coldplay and Jay-Z are going to be playing three massive UK dates together at the Lancashire County Cricket Ground in Manchester (September 12), Glasgow Hampden Park (September 16) and the London Wembley Stadium (September 19).

Frontman of Coldplay Chris Martin has assured fans he does not have any plans to start a solo career.

Rumours of Chris Martin leaving Coldplay seem to be never ending, but as Coldplay prepare for their UK tour later this year, Chris Martin felt to reassure fans of the band’s future.

Chris Martin reveals that hell would have to freeze over before even considering leaving Coldplay.

He also joked that to launch a solo career would be the result of being dumped by his wife, actress Gwyneth Paltrow, and desperately needing the money.

Chris Martin is actually currently recording a new album with Coldplay, their fifth release due for 2010.

He describes feeling hungry for writing songs all the time, which could be because he is turning 33.

It has also been announced that the support acts for the Coldplay shows at the London Wembley Stadium will be Jay-Z and Girls Aloud, with both acts performing on both dates.

It was previously understood that Jay-Z would support Coldplay on one date and Girls Aloud would be the support act for the other date at the London Wembley Stadium. Now, fans can see both acts on both days.

Also, it has been announced that there is another support act in the shape of White Lies for the Coldplay gigs at the London Wembley Stadium.

Fans can see Coldplay at the Manchester Lancashire County Cricket Club (September 12) and the Glasgow Hampden Park (September 16) before two massive shows at the London Wembley Stadium (September 18 & 19).

Wembley Stadium cost approximately £750 million to build and various events have been held there to help recuperate the funds, such as music concerts, American football matches and motor racing.

Music industry insiders claim that any accusations made by the Football Association that music concerts were to blame were simply misguided.

This echoes the sentiments of Arsenal FC manager, Arsene Wenger, who defends the idea that music concerts were to blame and argues that the Wembley pitch was never really in good condition right from the start when Wembley Stadium opened in 2007.

One source claims that having these different events at Wembley Stadium, London allows different types of grass to be tested and is actually a benefit to the ground staff of the venue.

Following on, it was claimed that having seen no problems at the old Wembley Stadium, it was just a matter of getting the climate right in order to find the correct grass surface.

Concerts held at Wembley Stadium, London so far have come from Metallica and Madonna.

Metallica are due to play at Sonisphere at Knebworth House, Stevenage during the weekend of August 1-2.

Madonna is also on the road this summer with the ‘Sticky & Sweet Tour’ and is due to play the London O2 Arena and the Manchester MEN Arena in July.

Concerts coming up at Wembley Stadium, London are AC/DC, Take That, Oasis, U2 and Coldplay, with the pitch scheduled to be re-laid again after these summer concerts.

The Roskilde Festival takes place outside the Danish capital, Copenhagen, between July 2 and 5.

The 2009 Brit Awards took place at London Earl’s Court last night and featured live performances from the likes  of Kylie Minogue, Coldplay, Take That and Kings of Leon.

The War Child charity concert takes place only days before the huge Killers tour is due to kick off. The Killers tour starts in Belfast at the Odyssey Arena (February 21), before moving on to venues including London’s O2 Arena (February 23 &24), Cardiff International Arena (February 28), Aberdeen Exhibition Centre (March 5) and the Newcastle Metro Radio Arena (March 7). The rest of the top 10 sees support for rock concerts as the Oasis tour 2009, Stereophonics, Kooks and the Slipknot residency all feature in the top 10.

Tickets to see Chris Brown, Duffy, Barry Manilow and The Prodigy proved to be hot sellers and all climbed in the second half of the top 20. Meanwhile, Metallica, Cliff Richard and Snow Patrol concert tickets are all losing ground on their chart rivals. This week’s new entries include tickets for Pendulum and Pussycat Dolls as well as the Elton John Red Piano tour.

There have been rumours this week that Girls Aloud would provide the support on one of next year’s dates and today’s news has confirmed the speculation. Girls Aloud will be supporting Coldplay at the second Wembley date rather than Jay-Z, who will be appearing at the other shows.

The 2008 Coldplay tour is currently in full swing and has got off to a great start. Take That will be hoping to outsell Coldplay’s latest multi-platinum record, Viva la Vida and take the biggest selling album of 2008 accolade.

Both Britney Spears and Take That will be embarking on UK tours next summer. Britney Spears visits London for two shows at the O2 Arena which takes place on the 3rd and 4th June. Tickets have yet to go on sale, but there is expected to be a huge demand to see Britney perform. Take That will also be kicking of their huge summer tour in June. The 18 date outing kicks-off in Sunderland and comes to a close in London a month later. Hundreds of tickets are still available to see Take That in action.

Take That’s live music chart rivals, Coldplay have also recently confirmed a 2009 tour. Tickets for Coldplay’s 2009 Stadium Tour went on sale today. The band will be playing shows at Wembley Stadium and Old Trafford Cricket Ground next September. Coldplay kick-off their 2008 winter tour this Saturday. Hundreds of tickets are still available for all of the performances. The 17 night jaunt includes stops in Glasgow, Birmingham and London.

Tickets are currently being listed for as much as £2000 per pair to see some of the hottest events in town. Some of these top events include Eric Clapton’s 2009 spring tour, Tina Turner’s UK visit and Coldplay’s forthcoming winter outing.

Tickets to see Eric Clapton at the Royal Albert Hall next May are listed for as much as £500 each.  Meanwhile, tickets to see Coldplay at the O2 are being listed for £1200 per pair. This is more than 15 times the original price. Tina Turner tickets can be found for as much as £800 apiece. The top priced tickets currently listed online are for Barry Mannilow’s opening night at the O2 Arena in London on 4th December. Premium seats are listed for as much as £1000 each – over 13 times face value.

It is often that a near identical seat can be found for significantly less elsewhere. Fans are encouraged to shop around and only use sites with buyer guarantees.

Coldplay begin their huge Arena Tour on 29th November in Sheffield.  The band will play 13 further dates across the UK including performances in Birmingham, Manchester and London. The 14 night jaunt draws to a close in Belfast on the 23rd December.  Thosands of tickets are currently available online with prices starting at just £54.99.

Tickets went on sale on 20th August at 9 am and within 9 minutes the two dates at Wembley were sold-out. Moments later, the tickets for the remaining 16 nights had been sold. Thousands of fans were left disappointed after failing to secure tickets through the official tickets agencies.

Unsurprisingly, no sooner had the massive arena tour sold-out, the secondary market was inundated with tickets. Over 3,500 tickets, with face values starting at £32.50, are already listed anywhere between £95 and £499.  By comparison, 6,962 Coldplay tickets are for sale with prices currently ranging from £55 to £660.

Only time will tell which one of these huge bands will take the 2008 crown for the most successful British arena tour.

However, it was not only Noel who decided to unleash one of his characteristic outbursts.. Younger brother, Liam, said he thought all of Coldplay’s fans were ‘boring and ugly’. Coldplay who themselves announced their UK tour in June have sold-out all 16 dates. Tickets are selling for as much as £329 on the secondary market – over seven
times face value. Only time will tell if Oasis ticket prices will follow the same trend.
