The Drums were recently named number 1 in NME magazines top tips for the year as well as in Clash Magazine's Tips for 2010. In February 2010, The Drums played venues around the UK on the NME Shockwaves tour alongside The Maccabees, Bombay Bicycle Club and The Big Pink, gaining many fans along the way.

The Drums have announced the first six dates of a UK tour, which will begin on November 28th in Birmingham.

The Drums have revealed that whilst writing their second album, Portamento, they almost broke up, in an interview ahead of their Lovebox Weekender appearance in London.
The Drums have posted a short video of them in the recording studio preparing material for their new album, ahead of their July appearance at the Lovebox Weekender festival.
The band will also perform in Bristol, Newcastle, Birmingham, Glasgow, Belfast, Leeds, Nottingham and Manchester throughout November and December.
The stage is set to react to the amount of noise generated in the venue.
The singer has collaborated with Jay-Z for the album's title track.
The singer was ordered to leave the show this morning, after having survived the last two public votes.
The US singer will headline the event at Hyde Park, London on Sunday 8th July.
The band, who reunited last month following a 15-year split, will perform the shows in addition to their previously confirmed Heaton Park concerts.
The dates will form part of the band's world tour, which is set to take place in support of their latest album, The King Of Limbs.
Dance act Chase and Status, and BBC Radio 1 DJ Zane Lowe will also perform at the event on 31st December.
