Thin Lizzy are an influentional hard rock band from Ireland who inspired many following bands including Metallica and Mastadon. Thin Lizzy are still active performers even after the death of frontman and primary song writer Phil Lynott in 1986. Thin Lizzy will be touring the UK in early 2011.

Thin Lizzy are an Irish rock band, famous for hits such as "Jailbreak" and "The Boys Are Back In Town". Founded in the late 60's, the band had success in Ireland before breaking into the UK mainstream with their album "Jailbreak" in 1976.
Frontman and bassist Phil Lynott died in 1986, but the band has had various line ups since, and in 2010 announced a new tour.
Thin Lizzy will be touring the UK in 2011 with tour dates in Belfast, Dublin, London, Southampton, Cambridge, Bristol, Leeds, Newcastle and many more.

Dance act Chase and Status, and BBC Radio 1 DJ Zane Lowe will also perform at the event on 31st December.

The UK star will join a line-up consisting of the likes of One Direction, Ed Sheeran, JLS, The Saturdays, Wretch 32 and Emeli Sande.

The tour will take place in support of the band's upcoming studio album, Fallen Empires.

The band will perform three UK shows in December this year, in support of the release of their latest album, Mylo Xyloto.
The group will perform at the stadium on Saturday 23rd June as part of their 2012 Farwell Tour and will be supported by The Wanted.
Simon Cowell is said to be keen to boost the lagging ratings of the show with the shock double eviction.
